Hi, cant seem to login to EQ2 on any of my household puters? login screen comes up, second later vanishes? Anyone have that problem?? Thanks, in advance
sounds like a Firewall issue. assure launchpad.exe is allowed out. also, could try everquest2.exe directly to see if you can get in
I assume you have tried the easy things, i.e., rebooting computer, modem, and router. Is the Launchpad not starting?
Tried tons of stuff, ended up doing a new clean install, BUT Still cant load/install Testserver, and On live server, seems i cant use custom chats, IE Test channel? so confused, lol.. nothing new
So, Suzetta, are you changing the zone in the Launchpad? At the bottom left, it should say "Version: English" Click "English" and you can then change to one of the other regions, including Test, EU, Beta, etc. Each region will need a separate installation folder. If you are setting up a new installation, I recommend starting the download, then stop it after a couple of minutes. Then copy the Music and Paks folders from your main EQ2 install directory into the new region's folder... this makes the install much faster as those are huge, and it will patch any files in those folders if it needs to.
Make sure you are *right clicking* on the EQ2 desktop icon and choosing "Run as Administrator." Mine will do what you describe infinitely if I just double click on the EQ2 desktop icon.
UPDATE- everything posted here was tried, put a ticket in- didnt help- in frustration I just deleted the entire /testserver folder and reloaded, THAT WORKED!!! woohoo-- but took a while before custom chat channels came back on line- maybe stealth patch??
