ok says you are supposed to catalog entries with ? There are plenty mobs around saying they are part of the quest but it will not let me catalog any of them. I even pulled up a walkthough and nothing. Anybody else having this issue.
Make sure you are using the new catalog the quest gave you. The old one used previously will not work.
Check in your knowledge book (first section) and look for spell/ability "Catalogue Creature" - move to a spare slot on your hotbar. Target the mob and click the spell. You should then get a quick progress bar on screen and a message in the chat box to say you've successfully catalogued it. Also, make sure you are in the right zone as well. I was in one of the zones for the sig line but couldn't catalogue anything - turned out I needed to be in the normal overland zone for the critters there.
Gerak is correct; the old catalog creature commands does not work. According to the wiki, the new ability is called Vegarlson, the Earthen Badlands: Catalogue Creature
