Not A Bug Says I do not have Blood of Luclin when I bought the new Xpac

I have an alt account that I had not purchased Blood of Luclin on. Since I am recently back playing, I decided to get RoS on that account. I purchased it, yet it says I either have to have membership or access to Blood of Luclin in order to do Overseers. I can zone into BoL zones on the account, so I obviously have access to BoL. Is this something intended or should I petition?

Definitely not intended, I'd petition CS when you have a moment.

So, the response I got from the ticket and the response from here are 2 different things. Even though buying the RoS expansion includes all previous expansions, because I let the membership lapse on that account, I don't even have access to the 3 per day because I didn't buy it when it was out originally? That makes no sense.

The Overseer feature is only available to players with an All Access membership. Players who purchased the Blood of Luclin expansion originally will still be able to access Overseer if their membership lapses, however they will be limited to three quests per day. Take care!

Yep. That's one of the things that "gets" people every now and then, especially returning or new players. That line about "buying the <current xpac name> expansion includes all previous expansions? It's not exactly 100% true. What you get is access to the content (zones, etc) of previous expansions, but not the features. So if you didn't purchase BoL, you'll only get overseer access with an active subscription. Just like if you didn't purchase Age of Discovery, you had to purchase the mercenary "feature" or Beastlord class from the cash store.

They're not consistent in this, however. If you buy the current expansion, whatever it happens to be at any time, you DO get the wardrobe feature from KA, for instance, as well as a line for each wardrobe item. So they DO sometimes include the features. It's the inconsistency that gets people, because sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't.

Of course, now that I've mentioned it, undoubtedly they'll now remove that feature from future purchases.

It's correct that the Overseer feature is only available to players with an All Access membership. I am going to close this thread because it is not a bug. You can post feedback in threads other than BugReports.
