My question is this.....

Why is the mount level 30? I equipped it on my 31 Trubador and off into the skies I went. Is this intentional?

Should be. While most normal mounts require a much higher level, some of the special event flying mounts allow you to fly at level 1 or level 10.

It's a /claim item, one per account.

Is that EQ2?

Yes, limited time, you need to log in to claim.

Now we need a red one and a green one , orange , purple and black .
But just kidding besides the red one maybe , thanks for that beautiful mount
We can even claim it on Kaladim ( does not fly there at any level )
the lowest level you ever could fly on any mount was level 10 for a mount you could earn on the raise to Trakanon I think ,
it since when has been changed to level 30 trade skill or adventure level .

It's a copy/paste from CD raid mount, with a slight change in tint. Am I missing something?

You may want to check between "Promotions" Tab and "All" Tab in your /claim window.

I don't think items that have been granted to you will just disappear never mid that this offer stands into the next month
So people who are out of town can still have a chance of getting this FREE mount.
