((Been a while since I saw a RP structured like this. :) I'm not sure if we're supposed to start yet or not, so for now I'll just post a bio.))

    Name: Aloysiius the Sandpiper

    Gender: Male

    Age: Late 20’s

    Race: Human

    Faction*:

    Deity*: Bristlebane

Alignment (As in good, evil, or neutral.): Good

Appearance: A tanned human with brown hair and eyes. He keeps his hair shoulder length and swept back. Clean shaven. He is neither particularly tall nor particularly short. He often has a slight smile and a far away look in his eyes. He wears simple a comfortable worn leathers and carries two short daggers as well as an assortment of instruments.

Personality: A perpetual wanderer who will do almost anything for a new song or story, Aloysiius is patient, quiet (when not performing or drinking) and sometimes mischievous. He prefers to stay back and watch things unfold, stepping in only when he thinks it necessary or unavoidable. He is energetic but often acts much lazier than he really is. He can sometimes be a little flirty if someone catches his eye, but is respectful if told to bugger off.

Strengths: Skilled with the harp and the flute. Aloysiius has a good memory for faces, people and especially stories and songs. He is a swift runner. He picks up languages easily.

Weaknesses: He finds anything longer than a dagger unwieldy and he isn’t very good at actual hand-to-hand combat if disarmed, being more used to drunken tavern brawls. His accuracy with throwing weapons is sub-par. He is easily distracted if he finds the conversation boring and doesn’t always pay attention, even when he knows he should. He once broke his left arm and it healed wrong before he could get to a proper Healer, leaving it weaker and slower than his other arm. He’s afraid of the Undead in all forms and spiders.

Occupation*: Troubadour, tavern owner and bookbinder/scribe on the side

Residence*: #8 Lucie Street, South Qeynos (Everfrost Server)

Short History: Aloysiius was abandoned in the Commonlands as a young child before being found and taken in by two wandering Barabarians, Brog and Beyla Noatun. They nursed him back to health and raised him, never settling in one area for too long. He learned music from Grandmother Beyla and history and dagger play from Grandfather Brog.
Both his grandparents passed away before the founding of New Halas, leaving Aloysiius alone. He continued his wandering and eventually bought a house in Qeynos so that he had a place to store the many books he found in his travels. In recent years he has wandered less, having converted most of his house into the Sandpiper Tavern with the help of a couple of his clsoe friends. While he thoroughly enjoys the running of the Tavern, he does leave without notice to follow the wanderlust, coming home with new stories or songs.
He makes most of his money doing scribe work for people or selling books. He is prone to letting people pay off their tab at the Tavern with a new story or song, but always manages to pay the rent each month, even when it looks like he traded too many songs for drinks.

Other*: If asked why he was abandoned in the Commonlands, Aloysiius makes up a reason, never giving the truth.
He was the illegitimate son of a wealthy merchant in Freeport. His mother died when he was eight and he was sent to his father. His stepmother and half-brother were upset, knowing that once the father died, they’d have to share his fortune with another. To solve this, the stepmother arranged a sight-seeing carriage ride through the Commonlands while the father was setting up trade deals with merchants in Neriak. Al had overheard his stepmother and refused to drink the (poisoned) water she offered him despite the arid summer heat of the savannah. When he accused them, they tried to hold him down, but he leapt from the carriage and ran away. Days later Brog and Beyla found him surrounded by Undead and saved him.
Not long after that his father died and a household servant was executed for poisoning the master of the house, although rumors always said it was his grieving widow who did it.
