Is there an easy way to raise this skill? Ive made a new coercer and noticed right away that this skill wasnt going up very fast. So for every mob Ive killed since lvl 8 Ive charmed it and released it before killing it, and Im still only at 42/55. If I decide to stop trying to raise this skill will it make a difference on how good the charmed pet is or how long the charm lasts? Or will it being low make it easier for the mob to resist the charm? As it is this is a very frustrating skill to level.
Root and Mez will raise it as well. For Soloing and Grouping this skill is important, it effects your effectiveness on mobs resisting root, mez and charm also on if your root, mez or charm will go for the duration on the spell. One way to raise it is Root then mez then charm the mob, once its charmed cancel the mez. you get three chances to raise this on each encounter. Also some gear will raise it past your baseline level.
