On Nov 21, Roshen said in a forum post, "The Race to Trakanon Event Server is scheduled to close in January 2017, and we'll share the specific date regarding when this server will close as we get closer to that date." Well here we are, 5 days into January 2017, and no information has been released about RtT's impending closure date. This uncertainty and the unknown nature of what will happen to characters that haven't actively transferred off of RtT is causing a mess over there. Is there anyone in the DBG stable that knows the plan for RtT (with timeline) that would be willing to maybe enlighten the player base? The 30 or 40 of us that are still active on RtT are worried that EQ2's history of keeping players in the dark and changing horses mid-stream means that we'll log in tomorrow, or next Tuesday, or the 15th, or whatever and find ourselves on a server we don't want to be on because instead of moving toons to Stormhold, the powers that be at DBG decided to instead force us onto their lowest-pop live server and now we're unable to move to Stormhold (if that's our desire). Surely someone from DBG could comment on this. There are only 26 days left in January after all.
I checked my calendar and see that EIGHT days remain in January and we still have no information regarding RtT's closure. Long ago, when the server was announced, we were assured that we'd get a week's notice before the server closed shop. It seems that if DBG is going to keep to their promises then they'll have to get some information out ... well ... tomorrow. Daybreak Games' developers, someone knows when Race to Trakanon will close. On behalf of the few stragglers that are still bumping around, please, for the love of Bert, please give us some information.
