It was killing people who successfully jousted away from where the visible vortex was located, which seems incorrect.
while everything you said i agree with - in summary the messaging on this fight and visuals on tornado danger zone need some serious TLC - the timing of tornadoes is % based, so u can be prepared for it. and jousting is just way way longer distance than we're normally used to
to be clear - this is perfectly fine imo, throwing a change-up from what we're used to is great, and it's definitely very possible to do this fight flawless. it's just for such a drastic deviation from the norm, there need to be some clues alerting us to the need of joust way longer than the tornado graphic would leave you to believe
