We do, I'm pretty sure; good luck with the Powers! :)

Here is an amphitheater I'm working on. (The top part will hopefully look sort of like a sea shell.)

Stick a platform with some spheres attached to it in there (be funny to use the Casino Pool Balls set ;->), and bingo! Hollywood Bowl. :D

Been there a couple of times; it's awesome, especially if you take a Shuttle Bus. ;->

Hmm...sea shell would work; like in the Flintstones: "Hollyrock Bowl" or something. :D

I've been to Hollywood Bowl exactly once, or to be accurate, to one of the parking lots. My then-husband's best friend and his wife had tickets to a performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, and some friends of theirs also had tickets. We did not. We called ahead, and were assured we could pick tickets up at the door. Being the cautious type, I suggested we travel in our car, just in case. I was voted down, so we all crowded into the friends' car (before seat belts!). We parked and headed to the shuttle, where they were turning away everyone who did not have tickets - the performance was sold out. So hubby and I got to sit in the car in the parking lot for two hours or so, until the concert was over. Funny now, but it was a miserable experience at the time!

The one I'm making isn't that big. it is only about 40 ft wide and 20 ft. deep for the shell part. the over all width is about 62 ft. wide, by 29 ft. deep and 25 ft. tall. I don't think I could make it much bigger than that and still get it to be acceptable.

Even though you didn't get inside, I bet you could still hear the music unless you were behind the band shell.

And see the fireworks that usually accompany such! :)

Though it sucks that you couldn't be really there... :(

    Woot! :D

I've PLAYED the 1812, First Chair Tuba in a county-wide symphonic honor band (no stinkin' string instruments, though even I missed the bass viols during those long, tedious runs... :-/). Our director/conductor was bummed out that we didn't have any cannon to do the 1812 "properly"; I wrapped an arm around the shoulders of my younger, terrified Second Chair and told our boss, "Sir! WE'LL be your cannons. :D"

And indeed, we were. That bit near the end, after the last big hurrah for the Marseillaise, right before/during the cannon finale, that bit that they played in V for Vendetta, that MELODY that the TUBAS HAD, you can still hear on the cassette tape made of that concert (which probably says how long ago that was...). Granted, this was before I realized I had Exercise-Induced Asthma, and that glorious rush of blowing a large amount of air through 16 feet of brass piping for one brief shining moment was literally my last gasp there. Didn't hear us hardly at all afterwards in any of the other pieces we played. :(

And that glorious bit was, at one point, the Russian national anthem. Good ol' P. Tchaik used it again in "March of the Slavs," briefly. I always loved that, mostly for the tuba melody aspect, then I heard the USSR anthem. O. M. G. Talk about DULL... X-P

Hope they dusted off the old classic for Russia these days. ;->

I could make the inside conform to the outside shape, which would give you more floor space, would you prefer that instead of what I have modeled here?

The more floor space, the better, I always say, but either way, that pyramid is cool. :)

It's more authentic to have an inner chamber like that, but if you expand the floor space, we could make our own chambers. :)

I don't know what is going on, I mean, they must really be busy with another expansion, or new game(s) or something.

I think they've had some staff shifting/changes, so maybe that has contributed to the delays.

I've sent email requests to get awarded the stuff they recently added to the game. I got replies, but nothing awarded to my designated character as of Sunday night (7/30/17). Tinkerfest ends on Aug. 2, 2017 so they still could add those items even after the event is over, but only time will tell whether that happens or not.

Why am I thinking, "Probably a week after the event closes"? :-/

I tried nudging Kaitheel on the Test forum: "Hey! Dude! You actually listen to us! Tell them we want our TF stuff soon, please!" Haven't seen anything in response, but haven't been there on the Test forum for a bit, either. ;->
