Try /camp desktop and come back in to see if that fixes it.

I'll give it a try, Sig. Is there some kind of server problems?

It was a Cloudflare/CenturyLink kind of problem. Lotta sites were down or nearly so.

I recommend always trying the easy things first. Exiting the game and come back in; if that didn't fix it, reboot your computer, modem, and router.

I've noticed a lot of problems trying to hit a variety of websites this morning. Since COVID and everyone and their dog meeting by Zoom, it seems like the internet has just been slower in general.

To see what the heck is happening on the interwebs between you and San Diego.
    (1) Go to http://speedtest.net/ -- Click Begin Test, then click Share This Result, then copy the URL it gives you into your reply here. This tells us something about your ISP, type of connection, and UL/DL speeds.

    (2) From the START button, in the little window type CMD and hit enter to open a command window. Otherwise, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories, right-click the Command Prompt and select "Run as administrator" (For Windows 8 - Press the WINDOWS and X keys together and then click on Command Prompt (Admin). Click Yes to the User Account Control message that appears.)

    (3) In the CMD window, you should have a folder address (mine says C:\Users\Administrator>) with a flashing cursor after it. Type in each of three three commands below, one at a time, and let each run. You know it's done when you get the folder address and cursor back.
    • ipconfig /all > c:\netinfo.txt
    • tracert lpj.daybreakgames.com >> c:\netinfo.txt
    • pathping lpj.daybreakgames.com >> c:\netinfo.txt

    (4) Now, go to C:\netinfo.txt, and open that file with Notepad.

Personally I recommend finding out if there's a wider problem involved first. A quick search of the forums this morning should have alerted people to the fact that kicking local devices repeatedly was very unlikely to solve this particular problem for them.

I got in. Not really sure what the problem was but it's not really a big deal.

I agree...when anyone have issues with EQ2 or connecting to EQ2 the problem have in 99.9% of the cases nothing to do with peoples own setups or hardware/software.

Not really what the problem was. I haven't changed anything.
  10. Tkia Well-Known Member

That's basically what Rotchi just said. The problem was never yours - it's out on the network somewhere.

I have another question. Instead of starting a new topic I'll just ask it here. Why are all my hotbars stacking on top of each other? What can I do about it?
  12. Leloes Well-Known Member

    I know. I got that.
  13. Leloes Well-Known Member

Tried f10 but it only opens a window on desktop and turns EQ2 to window mode. Help please! I can't get hotbars to work correctly!
  14. Sigrdrifa EQ2 Wiki Author

Press F10 once so you can see your windows. You can drag them where you want them. Press F10 twice more to get back to the normal view.
  15. Leloes Well-Known Member

Doesn't do that. It only opens a window on desktop and turns EQ2 into window mode. Anything else I can do to unlock hotbars??
  16. Dude Well-Known Member

Right click on the hotbar and then click "Unlock Window." That will make it so you can drag them around. Also, if you fool around with them, you can resize them and also change their shape to be vertical.
  17. Leloes Well-Known Member

Tried that, too. The hotbar still doesn't move. They only stack on top or kinda off to the side/on top off each other. Any other suggestions?
  18. Nazy Well-Known Member

    Make sure click-through isn't enabled.
Other than that, hit f10 and see if you're dragging the wrong window.

As Nazy said, check if click through is enabled. To do that, right click on the hot bar and click "Window Settings." If that's not it, I'm not sure what else it might be.

Finally got it! Just kept diddling with it and managed to move the second hotbar to above the first.....now...how do I make sure f10 is enabled?
