New Turquoise Adornments

Not sure the reason behind this, sure there is one, but we are no longer able to see set bonus on armor. Example is the Infused Shard Jewelry you buy with void shards on Moors of Ykesha. There is about 25 different set of jewelry you can buy and they all have different set bonuses. How are we able to tell which item has which set bonus, cause it does not show up when you examine the item, just that the item may have an adornment. Before the change you was able to see which stat bonus the items have before you spend void shards, now it seems you just have to buy one and hope it is a bonus you like. Could you please change it so we can see the bonus before we buy.

There are no more set bonuses on armor at all.

I think the OP is acknowledging that. What I think you're missing, is that the OP (and by extension, others wishing to purchase like items) is now unable to see what item will give which turquoise adorn, since the set bonus stats are no longer listed. Having to tab out and see what stats are listed for that name on the wiki may be a possible workaround - but it's still sloppy.

'Cause I'm pretty sure they won't get to choose their adorn when purchasing the item(s).

So if you loot an item that would've normally came with a set bonus do they drop already adorned or do the adornments have to be purchased somewhere?

This is why I stay away from content that requires adorns that don't come with the gear. I find it incredibly confusing and a waste of time trying to figure out what adorns to put on what items. Half the time it seems like the adorn says it will work on, say a neck item, and when I try to put on the adorn it won't work for one reason or another--usually because it conflicts with another adorn. And once I get everything adorned it immediately is replaced with new gear. What ever happened to gear that lasted through a whole level and into the next?

Set bonuses weren't working on the Kaladim server, so they came up with a universal work-around to turn the set bonuses into adornments to apply to the gear.

For most players, you only have to worry about the tradeskill equipment you might use. If you're a high level player, delete them since you don't use the gear that bonus would apply to anymore anyway.

I would like to think that isn't the reason. Mostly because the TLE servers are a copy pasta of the coding from live just with some modifications. They have to be if changes made there directly impact live servers. It feels to me that they want to streamline the game even further at everyones expense. Why would they remove set bonuses from the game (with the exception of the top end raiders) only to make sure yet another TLE server with a clock is taken care of??? This is more of designing a game that forces people to do certain parts of the game that require more money if they want other aspects that have been apart of this game since near launch. Its complete nonsense that content outside of the scope of the current stuff even had to be adjusted.

Just my opinion, if you want to make the current content function that way fine, its your game now, you decide how it will end. No problem. But destroying servers and content that they literally won't respond about to you about in discord because its not their focus is just plain stupidity. They had no issue adding resolve, they had no issue removing crit mit back in TSO/SF days, they had no issue removing PVP from the game, they had no issue removing XP towards divine attributes, they had no issue adding fervor, they had no issue changing how graphically demanding the new zones are. So why is this a problem? And if it is set it back and leave it alone. Stop slapping game wide bandaids on everything, fix the issues where they are and leave the rest alone or you can watch a large portion of the game leave including myself because me and my raid force still enjoy the content for what it was.

And these are the items that are completely broken as they are currectly locked to adventure levels.

For clarification, the jewelry does still show base stats:

What I believe the OP is referring to, is it only mentions "This item may have an adornment in it," and there's no way to inspect what the stats (set bonus) for that shiny new turquoise adornment are. Not really a big deal when you're talking about the Glyph of Restoration effect on the Void Energy jewelry, 'cause the name makes it pretty easy to figure out the other two items in the set. But there's also a Glyph of Restoration effect on the set made up of "Rejuvenating Band/Bracelet/Sash, Luminous Loop of Three Elements, and Magmaweave Metallic Belt," and it is NOT interchangeable with the Void Energy set.

This is similar to the Crippling Assault effect on the Tactician's Band, with the other set items being Tactician's Chain/Hoop, Circlet of Najena's Assassin, Flaming Spiked Choker, or Marauding Plug of the Flame Warrior. So one would have to interrupt their gameplay and go someplace like the wiki to figure that out. And for a newly returned player that doesn't know about the wiki... think it could be a bit frustrating?

Edit: Oh, and they'd have to look up the set name too - since that's not mentioned anywhere.

These are the little things with the potential to turn into straws, enough of which become back-breaking for some poor dromedary.

Is very confusing indeed at times.

From the point where adornments started dropping in the items, you couldn't see even WHAT kind of rune you might have gotten until you got it into your inventory. I don't think the mechanism has changed, though I'll bet you can make a case that it should.

Which is just ONE of the reasons why changing the set bonus mechanism to runes is such a bad idea.

I have recently been running the EoF raid zones, collecting the armor sets and for my alts and house mannequins. They too come with the set bonus stats, and have now been removed, giving no bonuses, a pointless nerf imo. my toon received about 170 of these removed adornments, and will now clutter up the brokers,

Odd that they didn't just change the items with set bonuses to be the item with the set bonus removed and the adorn already slotted in...
