I agree. The developers that reworked Darklight Woods did an amazing job with the artwork in the zone. Good job!
Looks good! The reddish trees actually look very much like the dying pine beetle forests in my area of the world, so it gives the zone a nice diseased/decaying feel to me, especially when compared to the greener areas such as around the tower near the BBM griffin.

Well they did put down some of the KP foliage and what not, but that's what makes this kind of update workable. Creative reuse of existing art assets allows for this sort of thing and it works. I also saw Udalan's bone hut out there too, which is an awesome looking piece of art. I'd love to see more updates like this.
This may just be my server but chatting with another player last night, they commented about an appearance armor merchant in the Wanderlust Fair that I could not locate. When I asked a guard for directions to the name I was given a waypoint next to the mender in the fair but no NPC at the X. If I recall correctly the name of the NPC is Kendahr the Outfitter. I would have sent in a /petition but the in game browser is still Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition. (Butcherblock server)
Those screenshots are more like what I expect it to look like. The fog will enhance the atmosphere. Before it looked a little too cheerful for me. Although, I did like the addition of the trees.
So I've been away from the game for a few months--I LOVE what you've done with DLW. My only question is... ...can we get those TREES?
Wouldn't call it 'new' since it's just recycled assets from other zones, most notably Stonewood (Kylong Plains) and Lesser Faydark. But nontheless a good overhaul for the zone.
