My Mystic Can't Swim!???

For some reason my human mystic does not swim. I have never run across this in all the years i have played. I doubt it is a bug. I assume its some "feature" or setting I inadvertently turned on.

As i think about it, this is something I have noticed, and repeated, in the canals in Qeynos. I didn't have this issue when I swam from the starting island to the outskirts of New Halas.

Has anyone else run across this issue? What was the fix.

    Thanks.

You probably have your underwater breathing ability turned on. Shamans get water walk as part of their ability. (It's annoying sometimes, but at others quite useful.)

Yes, i do have that buff active. That has to be it.

    Thank you!

Hehe that makes me smile, but who hasn’t this happened to at least once?
“damn my aoe spells no longer work” (singular focus)
    " I'm a tank and i have no aggro " ( subtle stikes)

If there's a bug in the Matrix, look at your airbus-like dashboard.
It may be missing or have something extra ;)

Dump your water breathing buff and get a Fishbone earring. In almost 20 years I've yet to find any need to be gravity-booted to the ocean floor.

Yeah, first time one of my characters fell in the moat inside Qeynos, and I cast what I thought was water breathing... and moved, it started running across the bottom. I couldn't get to the stat of the stairs. I had to get rid of water walking, press the home key to rise up to the surface, then walk out. Egad.

Of course, i could have let the character drown, then get reincarnated on land. But didn't think of it.

I usually put the single orange waterbreathing on, and when I need to gather stuff off the ocean floor, I turn the purple one back on.

Both of the water breathing my characters use are green circles.

Oh, I meant the background, not the color of the circle. I think on mystics they are a green circle with either an orange or purple background.
