When trying to play on KD, today, I had instances where the city status quests didn't show the completion window and characters didn't get city tokens or status but quests were completed according to their journals, When the group encountered Matri Dut, two characters were able to get the merc but she popped off before the other two could hire her. Not a great way to encourage grouping. City status quests showed completion before the correct number of mobs had been killed. I killed the required number anyway but that didn't seem to help two group members get credit to those quests. This is the first time playing since yesterday's downtime. I never had these problems on KD prior to that.
Why have almost all the housing been eliminated on KD. I tried to buy a house in Qeynos and it said it wasn't on my Point of Need System. So good-aligned characters can buy housing in Qeynos? Why give us the housing quest then. And New Halas won't give me the housing reward because my home city is Qeynos. Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy?
The quest being granted when entering the harbor in Qeynos or port in Freeport was put in place when the burbs were closed down to help players find the housing that was moved out of the burbs. And for those who never used them, but were frequent shoppers (bypassing broker) were given a direction to find the new room location of their favorite sellers. Sneaking into either Freeport or Qeynos to bypass broker fees is something that has been around for quite awhile so it makes perfect sense that the quests are available to anyone who enters city limits.
Turns out they did a housing update that had some problems. There was a message on the MOTD that is was being fixed. But today, one of my characters would run in circles anytime there was a fight even after logging to desktop and trying again. It seemed to solve itself after about an hour of this nonsense. Then, I clicked on the bauble for the Great Divide and ended up in the last balloon stop in the Moors of Ykesha. I had no bauble or other portal to the Moors in my backpack and they wouldn't have taken me deep into the Moors if I had them.
Matri Dut is one of those mercenaries who despawns very shortly after *anyone* hails and hires her, right? That's not an "issue" on Kael Drakkel that a few of your group members were too slow to hail her within that time window when someone else hailed her first slightly faster. That's just how she has always worked. Kenny is pretty much the same way in Nektulos Forest.
That would be one of the Isle of Mara Mission Stones, if it delivered you to the Overlook balloon pad in Moors of Ykesha. Sounds like you clicked on the wrong thing.
I did not have any Mara stones, mission or otherwise. There was only one item in the whole backpack which was the Great Divide stone I bought in the Great Divide.
I would report this as a bug, then. Unfortunately, using the mission stones doesn't leave a trace in the logfile, so it's hard to see what was used for the port.
I've had similar things happen on different characters and servers. It isn't really a bug as it only happened once to one character of the four that ported to GD. I suspect it was just a random surge that changed a 1 to a 0, or vice versa. I imagine that is the same thing that caused a character to run in circles during battles.
The running in circles is an old bug. Go into windowed mode, minimize the window, then re-enlarge it and that should stop.
