Currently there's a path in place for us to upgrade out mount gear but it requires a ton of patterns. The mastercraftered patterns were added to the tradeskill quests but there's still a lot of rng involved especially with the number of patterns that exist versus the number that people actually want. There's 16 total slots of mount gear(11 of those being bardings, which currently drop at the same rate as the patterns we only have one slot for) I would like to suggest also adding the mastercrafted patterns to the tradeskill researcher. This will give tradeskillers something to keep researching throughout the xpac, and give adventurer's a more reliable source for their patterns. It would still take a long time to get all the needed patterns, given anyone who wishes to upgrade a slot fully needs over 100 patterns, but it'd be a start.
