I am going to make some guesses here. I warn you in advance that these guesses will be based on too much coffee and not enough information. I don't think everyone is talking about the same thing. If Skel gave his AA spec in this thread I passed it without paying attention but I am going to guess that he has STA 4/4/8 Str 4/4/8 Int 4/4/8 So when Skel calculates the value of the buckler line he does it versus the alternative (ignoring Agi, which leaves only one) WIS 4/4/8 Str 4/4/8 Int 4/4/8 And he finds that the DPS mod from the wis line is too far into his diminishing returns to make dual-wielding preferable to using a buckler. I suspect that some of the other people posting to this thread are looking at the buckler spec as being something like STA 4/4/8/8 Int 4/4/8/8 and they are wondering how it compares to something like STR 4/4/8/8 Int 4/4/8/8 Or Str 4/4/8/8 Wis 4/4/8/8

The construction worker has no concept of building codes, stability, etc. Much the same as you have no concept of DR, DW, and other game mechanics.
