Funnily enough, it seems to be more prevalent on the Freeport side.... Evil botters... :p

Don"t bring me into your crap. I box because i do not have the patience for waiting in a utility, healer or tank and i have bailed out quite a few groups and raids to which my guilds and friends list can attest i box not bot. It is nice to have toons on standby for when you ate short.

    Dude...

Never out yourself when you've got a half dozen blatant copyright violations running around. I didn't name your toons, but you basically just told RadarX where to look.

I don't know what you are talking about, i took the names from another Daybreak game DCUO. So i ak sure it'll be alright. Now knock it off. Like, you and your consistent assumptions are annoying.

I don't recall outing myself ... or for that matter ... having anything to out.

Suuuuuuure.... DCUO... Right. Like seeing Lois Lane and Harley Quinn among others running around on SH and FG wasn't annoying. ;)

Who the hell cares if someone named themselves after another fictional character? There are so many Aaaragorrns and Ganndalffs around the immersion died a long time ago.

I've boxed plenty of times - I have 6 accts I can run. I have 6 machines set up when I want - it takes a lot to setup so I don't do it as much as I used to.

I've run up to 4 accts on one machine in fair condition.

And just for consumption, I box:
    • Sometimes to level an alt
    • Sometimes just for fun
    • Sometimes just to practice boxing
    • And sometimes because there's no one doing what I want to do at the time
    I find it fun actually.

Trying to ctrl 4 toons at once ain't easy, let me tell you - Try it .

I usually stay out of dungeons and run outdoor quests since I don't box very well at all.

Now if I could use programs (isboxer was my fav) that would be really cool and much easier ;)

One thing I was noticing today is the lower level city zones (like Forest Ruins/Oakmyst) don't seem to be spinning up multiple instances anymore. There were 35 people in Oakmyst earlier and no other instance available. 27 people in Forest Ruins and no more instances available. These zones simply can not support that number of players. I haven't made it to Stormhold or similar dungeons yet, but if they are likewise not spinning up new instances, then it's going to be causing nothing but grief as more and more people get to that level range.

As long as the population is as heavy as it is atm, those extra instances really need to be popping.

If there is anything I have learned about bots since starting EQ2 12 years ago. It is that generally the most complaining about bots are actually other bots trying to rid themselves of the competition. o_O

Because I just read this article here read above someone has said that he is isboxer normally this program is also not allowed. The Daybreak Eula forbids 3 party programs and this is Isboxer.

It will be difficult for Bot to break as they continue to find new ways, Daybreak should try to do the same as Blizzard, and it goes to the creators like Ogre Bot (kannkor) or Bjcassie. Only if they would try to go against these two It specialists before go and complain would be a chance given the whole stop.
Or Daybreak tries a new different coding so that it can not read any program other than its, which would also go Because the Bot programs read all the ID codes of Eq2.

And the people where to use this or to help themselves by cheats would have to be immediately banned, and on because server drunder land.

The only problem will be whether Daybreak has a team and the time and whether the costs are there or is further adopted.

You really think there is no communication between the creators of those programs and DBG on some level? I think not.

Im gonna need a translator to understand the rest of your paragraph though.

Lol at the massive amount of salt being cried over box/bot groups on fallen gate. You should be thanking the one person who is paying for multiple accounts, keeping this game afloat. Seriously you complain about groups leapfrogging over you. .. you mean like every other group is / would be doing the same way? There is boxers/botters paying for up to 24 accounts by themselves. The only thing you should be crying about is AFK playing. The boxers/botters that are causing problems in the game are 95 percent of the time being handled by DBG. Just because you see some kid out there running around with his group, doing the exact same thing you are doing with your scrub group that can't kill a dragonfly because you don't know how to play your characters, doesn't mean DBG should take action to ban them. "A group is taking all the mobs i need for a quest, they are botters, please ban them." So, if it was a group of 6 people, stealing your mobs, because you're to slow, its ok, but because its one person, its omg call the SWAT team.. . ACT, Darq UI, Profit, all third party, but I bet you same people use them.

Did you create this account just to make a weak argument? I love the part where you assume because a person uses a PROGRAM to run six accounts, they're not scrubs who couldn't fight their way past the same dragonfly without it. Then to compare UIs to automation programs, that one really holds water... We already know DBG can enforce and knows who uses third party programs. RTT really nailed that one home. So while I agree these threads are just garbage, people crying, so is your counter argument on a 1st post created yesterday account.

I lol'd. Phinny and Agnarr both still have people who use ISBoxer and MQ2 they just code it and mess with it themselves. I have seen it and know people who do it and I can assure you that DBG did not get rid of the "cheaters" as you call them on any of their TLE servers. Crying wolf at every group because they've got 1 person playing multiple toons is only going to screw with CS response time to real issues. I've seen more people on the forums complaining about botting than I've seen actual bot groups in game. I think I maybe have seen 1...maybe and they didn't bother me and when I sent the dude a tell and said something about needing mobs for a quest he let me get my updates. Zero issues. I've had more people playing 1 single character give me problems than people boxing.

You are incorrect. The items you mentioned are not prohibited by the Rules of Conduct. Advanced Combat Tracker looks at your log files after the game has written them to your hard drive and makes it easier to understand what's happening in combat. It doesn't automate gameplay.

As for Darq and Profit and all the other interface mods, the game COMES with a UIBuilder tool provided by the company. Every window on your screen is XML, and you can tweak the XML to change the way it looks. Again, it's not automating play.

Programs that allow unattended game play, or which automate actions (like causing every toon in your group to simultaneously cast) are what are explicitly prohibited. But I think you know that.

After reading all the stuff here, many ppl don't know the right definitions.

    Boxing:
Someone runs multiple instances (>1) on one or more computers.
All chars are controlled manually (!!!). The player has to be on the keyboard.

    Bot:
A char is not(!!!) running manually. Someone managed somehow to click buttons ingame without
    any player interaction.
Nowadays it is used by Bot-Boxing.

    Thirdparty-Software:
Any Software you use for eq2 and is a not distributed by DBG.
There are two types of thirdparty software, active and passive.

    Passive thirdparty:
Software that does not interact with the client and clicks a button, such as Eq2map, ProfitUI, ACT and so on.
ACT is a passive (!!!) software, because it does not interact with the client.

    Active thirdparty:
Any software that do a click in the client without player interaction.
This type of software is used for running Bots or use exploits in the client software.

Drundered or not to be Drundered?
As i understand boxing and using passive thirdparty is not(!) against the EULA, anything else is against EULA.
