    Hey all,
I'm brand spanking new to EQ2 and from reading the classes I think I'd really like to play a Swashbuckler (eventually that is).

I was wondering if you could give me some tips on what races work the best, plus if there is a better one to go for regarding artisan skills.

Also, I play with a group of friends on occasion (one is a mage, the oter a priest) is Swashbuckler a good addition or are we going to get creamed?

    Thanks for any info!

If swashbuckler is your goal, you need a race that can choose good. If EQ2 plays out at all like EQ1, starting stats will be supplemented by gear from the game, you also get to improve one of your basic stats when you reach level 8.

Early on, a mage, priest, rogue combo will do fine, but you will start getting clobbered before long without a fighter in the mix to absorb damage.
