have a few of the Blessed Sconce of Fear from a friend and I like adjusting the lighting in different rooms for effect. so i took this Freeport loft and then added 3 in series and got this flame style paint effect. Not sure how it works in the daytime.. but i can imagine it will be similar.
I think it has to do with the actual texture of the wall/room you are using it in. The light is brightening the lighter relief areas on that dirty freeport wall, which happens to be shaded more like a flame pattern. The same light source shouldn't throw a pattern onto a solid wall tile. Reguardless, it does look pretty neat Definately like walking into an inferno.
