Well it's not "entirely" correct SDA - really help with Unda and that is big chunk of damage outside of mimic SDA actually affect sonic, medusa and everything that is not reactive Auto attack for enchanters on other hand FUBAR - because of damage modifier 1x unlike any other mage class but flurry good for purpose of triggering peace of the mind ... (but not for damage itself)
Here is a deal - enchanters are odd class - SDA is not fully affect coercer but Flurry even less. Enchanter "still" more utility than DPS class BUT because of single AA skill coercer with good target (say scout with Eth) can outparse other mages (if they don't have eth) You most certainly should look for soft caps on basic casters stats 200 Spell casting speed Declaimer: bear in the mind - with white adorns 15% spell cast speed that goes in 8 slots total you already can have 120 SCS - so you need pick just 80 from gear .. easy. Second thing - having this mind you STILL should look for something with spell casting speed because this is THE best stat to reforge into something (usually AMOD) 100 Reuse - no brain - yes you need that 62+ Recovery - less obvious but once you start build long macros it's something to take in account 75+ SDA - spell double cast Declaimer - this is easy between 6% spell double cast purple adorn in shoulders, neck, cloak and belt (fabled) and 200 spell casting speed - you should be at this mark easy. Another declaimer - do not use tank green adorns that oddly gave 2-2.3% SDA per adorn - you are will most certainly better with SWDB/AMOD 200 attack speed - well again transparent you need this to get most of your ranged wand auto Declaimer: you want to use 4s weapon delay convertor onto your wand - it will effectively cut attack speed to 1.8s and you really want this because of peace of the mind. Use infuser to change damage type of your wand to magic - void or mental damage infusers it what you looking for 114-120MA - this is soft cap that give you 1 extra swing of your weapon - each to achieve but its own with gear ... if you get more don't be shy to reforge (if you can't do this with spell casting speed, attack speed - MA is 3rd best choice for reforging) 100% - AOE - this is useful, basically this stat turn your wand into frontal PBAoE (more targets = more peace of the mind procs!) 600DPS - this is soft cap 7x damage, next bracket is 2300 - 10x (hard cap) - this is not horribly important for coercer but useful to maximize your wand damage. Declaimer: one of the better way of getting is adorning with gear with Sigil of Damage (imo best casters set that supersede Sigil of Power specially if you able get 8/8) Sigil of Damage include 6% SDA shoulders (and you will going to use it anyway) strait DPS purples (each give you 16 + 27 (for heroic) or 12 + 27 (solo) or 20+27 (raid)) Also arms and legs (if my memory correct) give you AoE (15% each) on top of it 4/8 and 6/8 give you an extra bonus 0.5SDA and 2.5Flurry) As for weapons - it will depend group or raid, regardless of temptation to get lacerator (or its clone from collection) and mythical range (you'll get it - its just question of patience of gathering keys ) for raid you might consider somewhat different ... you are after all not true DPS class - from collections you will get dagger with Anguish and wand with Nox Rand (this 2 items roughly increase overall raid DPS by 1.3-1.5%) eventually you might settle for primary anguish, secondary nox rending and ranged total advantage. Other useful and cheap item to have in secondary (until you get raid version of nox) - is sacred vase with essence lich Jewels ... there is no "perfect" set but just a general approach - you are most certainly want practiced tactic effect (daily/weekly reward for dungeons) - 42% POT for all group and Meta collection reward - Furious barrage with 38% per increment, Earring - there are couple that give 1.5% overall damage increase (one is Hallhold Fall earring from AoM other is drops in Stigian Raid) this one will be good choice for raid other choice would be aura sharing one - if nothing else pick finisher V/Aura Sharing or Finisher/Amp Critical pair. Rings - again for personal/group and raid would be somewhat different - for raid get 2 ring for lag fest (Underfoot brotherhood - 35%/25% raid wide proc for POT) one comes from daily reward other reward for signature line but you may also consider Amp Combo (it give you a bit criticals, potency and SWDB). Charms ... BIS would be Dtouch/Salvo but there are few very good other choices - like reward for red shiny collections from AS (tradeskill must be 100) - it give you 600 POT clicky, weekly reward with Aura burning (80/35 + AoE damage), if you planning to give vigor to scout you might consider having vigor charm for yourself, - if nothing else make you sure you get Kerafim Furor (increase criticals) and stupid laser charm (and I bet you going to have many of those from umbrite chest before you get you mythical range) About war runes - priority as follow - Eth Conduit (good luck with getting it ), Jewel of Marring (same here good luck but this one you can at least buy via SLR for like 300+K plat), Wind of Obol, Magnitude, Truespirit Legacy, Scream of Battle (AoE+Flurry!) and Bolstered attributes Get AMOD to 80-100k ... reforge spell casting speed, attack speed and MA (excess over soft caps) - will help you - getting around 104K fairly easy task getting above 110 will require a lot efforts with infusion Declaimer - once you get what you think BiS for you for a long time - don't shy infuse it! - spend at least 1k-2k plat for straight infuse and spend like 5k on buying mastercrafted fabled infusers - those will take you in between advanced and heroic level
Oh! almost forgot - try get around 20 Accu - there is white adorn that can give you 8% but if nothing else after you meet soft cap on main stats .. something can be reforged into this ... Accu affect you wand with 20% Accu you will hit 100%
I don't think mine is the best coercer to compare against for serious play, but since no one else is posting...
