I keep getting a socket error downloading today's patch

    I maybe missing the last few files since july I been running the game off the backdoor

    Still not working after downloading from the wire. Thank you for trying. I hope Daybreak plans on giving us a day for the day we lost.

    yup doesn't say whats missing just 3 files not updated so who knows, hopefully daybreak gives everyone free dbl xp for the issues

    The downloads didn't work for me.
    each time I try to launch the game, with the blue eq2 icon (that was in one of the new files) I get an error message that I am missing dll files. I download the ones it says, then get another error message with another dll file missing.

    Unless I am doing something wrong, not sure what else I can do.

    DBG really did some messed up thing with this patch I'm trying to update the whole game watch that wont even work, seems weird you cant even re download the game either this is crazy

    Got the socket error like everyone else.East coast.Spectrum.Decided to completely uninstall.Now can't even download the game from eq2 site to re-install.Awesome.Congratulations Daybreak on reaching a whole new level of wtfery!

    That gives you the list of files. You still have to download them.

    Okay so with players having this issue why didn't they announce anything as of yet, about this issue, obliviously its something on there part, because after going to the tool thing I went to full game update and it didn't even work,,

    I tried the fixes listed here, no luck, I am so sick of this, I sure hope it is fixed soon........nothing works :(. It seems lately after every update I have issues, and spend hours just trying to get back in the game, I have played since close to launch, and I am so sick of this and so close to leaving this game these days.

    It's not technically a problem on DBG's end. The problem exists in between your ISP and Daybreak's data centre.

    Think of it like you're trying to get across town, you stop and ask for directions and someone sends you completely the wrong way. You don't reach your destination.

    Except this didn't just start today, it's been going on for a few days now. You just haven't been affected until today because there was nothing to download earlier in the week.

    And it's not assumption, it's straight from the devs. Current work arounds are to use a VPN to change the way your traffic is routed, or try an alternate connection (eg mobile phone hotspot, just watch your data usage!).

    How about F that! I've been playing all week, no issue! Today, get home from work, just want to play for a bit. NOPE. Can't do that. Was NO issue till this patch. Would be soooo nice to HEAR ANYTHING from DBG besides, oh we are working on it.

    LET'S GET A REPLY!! WHAT are you working on? WHEN will it be ready?
    WHEN can we play the game we pay for EVERY MONTH?????

    ANSWERS?????
