It would be nice to have doors that slide instead of open and close. Think pocket doors. As well as windows or tiles that slide up/down/left/right.
Like something that would really work well in a Mara Village prestige house or Personal Dojo environment? They could introduce them there, I think, and see how well they work for our houses. There are numerous examples of this in lots of the dungeons; I can remember ('cause it wasn't that long ago at all) the doors in Hammerhall from Brewday whose pair of doors slid open to either side (didn't really stop the ghosts, though...). I want the round rug in the foyer of caverns of the forsaken, its practically a stained-glass rose, and I want the floating candles in the last room of suite of screams (also the purple and red/gold tapestries)
Tora gives you five of those after you complete the prayer shawl line. At this time, I'm not sure there's a good reason to go adding more quest house items to the Shady Swashbuckler, much less one you already get in multiples for doing that line.
I'm still waiting for the Soulfire weapons to be added to the SS, and there's a couple of later game heritage quests that never got converted into furniture. I know it'd just be piling on the workload, but I wouldn't mind additional Shady merchants to provide some of those important and special items that can't be obtained a 2nd time.
There are many of us that would like more than five. The only way to accomplish this is by making throw away characters for one questline. Since items are already given for completing that questline on the Shady Swahsbuckler, why were these left out? They would get more use than the Shawl and weapons we get in our designs, which are purchasable on the merchant from the same quest. If anything, this would encourage more people to complete this line because of how many uses those diamonds could have in their designs. Apologies for being a decorator that would like to use those house items in more than one design. That's almost like saying you can only have 5 tiles, and no more. I can clearly tell by the tone of your response that you are under a lot of pressure, and I am by no means requesting this to be added in the next patch nor have the intent to make your work life more miserable by making this request. It's a wishlist thread. A list of items we wish we could have more access to. I submitted this wishlist item because 2/3rds of the items from this questline are already on the merchant, and the one item I know myself, and several others, would get a huge use out of in our designs. We can certainly consider leveling characters high enough to keep repeating this extensive line, but it would be more of a quality of life situation. As I am sure most requests here are. There are several items on the Shady Swashbuckler that I am certain get next to no repurchase use, these would have high repurchase value for decorators.
No apologies needed. I truly "get" where decorators are coming from and would love to be able to give you everything housing. The Shady Swashbucklers were intended to be for irreplaceable items with stats (the shawl and rewards from adventuring HQs and the like.) I get pushback suggesting that any limited "just" furniture become less limited (and am currently being hounded in private messages on discord by multiple people who want various other house items from quest rewards on vendors), so I just try to interject a bit here and there to show that I'm reading the thread, and what requests are less likely to go anywhere because my hands are tied. /wry I *do* keep an eye on these wishlist threads, which is how the faucet recipes came about, but there are only certain things I can get in It would actually be *almost* easier to convince them to make a retinted version of those that were easier to access ... and I've been told that even that is likely a no-go for this year as the art team is booked pretty solid already for the rest of the year.
It is very hard to address all our requests ( as my husband says " if only the day could have more than 24 hours ...") !! Decorators in EQ 2 are very creative and have wonderful artistic ideas ! We are very thankful that you read our wishes and try to make them happen Love love love the faucet recipes
With a current project I am working on, it made me realize that I would love to see building blocks with textures that match the customized wall options we have for the Qeynos and Freeport homes. I would also love to see building block sets that match the tiles we have that aren't part of sets already.
Another piece of statuary I'd love to see: In Siren's Grotto: Tavalan' Abyss at loc 297.14 1.27 -525.43 177.63 GRRRRR....having trouble getting image to upload. I'll keep working on it, but for now, I think you all know which statues I'm talking about. Maybe not so big - more personal home size, but who wouldn't want this in their house?? Woohoo! It appears we already have this in game available during Oceansfull! You can get your very own squid face for 100DBC (pretty reasonable IMO) on the marketplace as "Tavalan's Bust" in the Oceansfull category. More random thoughts: Would love a plushie of that creepy shadow person that runs towards Hedge Hollow.
There are several; various races/genders/classes, etc. You could get a Shadow Actor and name him/her something like "Nektulous Runner" or such... Have an activation radius of them "reacting" when someone gets too close and they go Hover or something like they're about to take off running. ;-> Uwk who sighs over the fact that we don't have more movement options for our Actors; it's been mentioned before that folks would love to see a brief "run" or "dance" or whatever action, but that might be too complex... :-/

Something like Deviant Art (my fave ), or Imgur, or Photobucket, or hopefully something everyone can access (as opposed to Facebook sometimes) or doesn't require 5 arms, 3 legs, and your first-born child to post your images on some other site? :-/ If not, you'll need one for posting anything here (sigh...). :-/ If so, well, this is how I do it using Deviant Art; YMMV: 1. Take your screenshot. Mess around with it to get it looking the way you want it in MS Paint or whatever MS lets us have these days. ;-> 2. Get it Published in your favorite flavor of image hosting site. 3. What I do in dA (www.DeviantArt.com): a. Once Published (complete with disclaimers about how this stuff is actually the intellectual property of Daybreak Games, all rights reserved, etc., so the Lawyers don't come in the middle of the night ;->), I'll right-click on the image. b. I'll get a drop-down menu with View Image or something similar (it's been awhile) near the top of that list. I'll click on that. c. I'll get a new page, with nothing on it but a black background, my image, and the URL (address on the top bar of the web page, for those who don't know [which is getting rarer these days, but I try not to presume]) of the image. d. I'll highlight and Copy the URL. e. I'll come back here to my post, and get the cursor where I want the insertion. 4. In an open post here, there's an icon of a tree in a field, to the left of a filmstrip (for inserting videos? I presume; haven't done it), called Insert/Edit Image. Click on that. 5. In the blank line that comes up, Paste the copied URL. Hit the Insert button, 6. Voila! Inserted image, like in a Word doc. Now if you've gotten a 'site, and gone through all the perhaps convoluted steps to get stuff Published there and know about the process here, and you're still having trouble, I'm not sure what to do; this is about the extent of my capabilities. :-/ Uwk
About those Faucets (me, too! Those are AWESOME! )... Any suggestions as to how to replicate the actual Dew Collector thingee? Are there items out there that look like a simple loom with a vertical tapestry on it; I figure, the troughs we can do ourselves pretty easily, and we have faucets now... Uwk
