When decorating a house, I always get stumped at the bathroom! I've bounced around touring homes, game-wide, stealing...er, I mean LOOKING for ideas and would still pick at the room for a few days. I've even had people ask me, what would make a good toilet, or if I knew of anything that could be a gold colored sink. We all struggle with the tp situation. (You know you do!) I scoured these forums, but nothing comes up as a post just for bathrooms. I thought it might be fun to start one! Let's show off our work and inspire our fellow decorators!
Pretty standard fare I think. Toilet is a white marble column, short column, half block and stair with a pressurized pint handle. Tub is three white marble room dividers, pedestal table and tall divider, ornate gold gear drain, copper skillet faucet, and bottle cork handles. Vanity and sink is a white marble pedestal table, 2 blue marble blocks, 2 blue marble railings, brazen basin, 3 black marble mirrors and 2 canvas paintings, faucet is repeated from tub. I think I also must've sunk a gold basin in there for the steam effect.
Er, kind of, but there's no door or curtain between the shower and the toilet? What about the paper?! There's one description I got a kick out of since I read it (I should reproduce it!), in The Drosten's Curse (called The Death Pit elsewhere) Doctor Who book (4th Doctor, but written in 2015) by A.L. Kennedy: "One door concealed an intimidatingly complicated bathroom with a massive tub and a number of large plants overhanging it, none of which she [a temporary companion in the TARDIS] recognized, or felt she could entirely trust if she was undressed. ... Eventually [she] had figured out how to fill the bath. This had involved six taps [one of which, if 4 was anything like 11, probably included lemonade], and temperature control had been a serious issue." Didn't mention any other, ah, facilities at all (other than "an alarming-looking shower arrangement"), probably because it's a British children's show, and we're not to speculate. ;-> Since the Doctor is known to have vanity issues, though, I imagine a lot of mirrors would also be present at the sink. Well, here's some old pics of an extremely simple "bathroom" idea (no bath, though, but it's at Uwk's Magical New Halas place, and he's a kitty; that's what tongues are for)... Outside, a Freeport door on an Ironwood Closet: Inside: Yep, that's a Lucanic Vase of Enmity as the, ah, receptacle; a Troll Chair; a sand square, just in case (not sure if it's Wavy or not; can't recall, and it's a bad angle); a couple of Carbonite Sconces to hold the "paper roll" (probably some collection quest scroll, poor thing) and to provide light and heat ('cause it's an outhouse out on the balcony of a New Halas place...brr); a Short Militia Shelf, with a Synthetic Kaborite Gem for a "dry" bar of soap (my apologies, you can't really see it in that picture, but it's there); yet another copy of A Frostfell Carol for reading material and in case the paper runs out (no one will miss it, I assure you...plenty more where that came from); and the top part of a Tinkerer's Large Conburnable Chamber for a "urinal" (be careful, lads; it's hot!). Why that for a urinal in that location? Well, if you follow the coordinates all the way down to the basement... Armorsmith's "Chemistry Supplies": The vertical coordinate is about the only one that differs here (Thurgadin Distillery from Brewday, with a Fae Distillery up top). And yes, you'd be surprised what smiths did back in the Middle Ages and Renaissance with their, ah, supplies... ;-> Uwk
Better pictures of nicer facilities...these first four I did for a house swap, so I'm not sure if the room still exists in that form or if the house owner promptly stripped everything out in disgust after the event was over... :-/ Pretty, pretty drapes: Concealing: A bath, a bath rug on the purple tiles, a rather admittedly strange idea I had for a "corner" toilet (I love the old-fashioned gravity-fed overhead toilet tanks), a small library (I have one in my bathroom in RL!), and a rustic sink. Barely visible on the left is the big comfy chair next to the tub, where one can put on socks and whatnot after the bath, or just relax for a bit. Big comfy chair and tub, with towel rack: And strange toilet idea, with library and rustic sink: Yes, those are 3 sources of open flames, the Mine Lantern hanging from the tank and the two Bronze Sconces holding the "paper roll," right next to a methane source... X-P Still fairly simple facilities... I think this is one of mine on Maj'Dul; definitely a New Halas place, using the Cupboard Under the Stairs: Concealing: The "booster chests" are not only for short visitors, but also the younger kids in the family there. ;-> For once, I didn't go with my favorite overhead gravity toilet tank, but went with a fairly modern push-button flush job. And yep, there's a "paper" source there on the top...Dalron's really doing a great job, providing people with such lovely hygiene products! If memory serves, I managed to cram this in there, too, at the back: Hot water heater and all...yeah, it's gotta be the same place; those are the other red and blue balls I used from the Casino set of Cue Balls I often use for hot and cold water knobs (no faucet; the sink and tub fill auto-magically, and the temperature and rate of fill depend on how far you turn the knobs). Didn't realize the blue was smashing into the wall until just now...I'll fix that in the house. :-/ Uwk
WOW! These are some amazing pictures! The response I'm getting both here and in game for this post is awesome. It's nice to know I'm not the only one that struggles with this room. I went back through some of my houses, and noticed how many I've done that don't even have a bathroom! I guess we'll all have to find a bush Bathrooms I've made. A bathroom Shanette made for me. And a bathroom Raiiny made for me. Keep sharing, I love seeing the variety of creativity!!

Thank you so much! I really love how you used the chimes as a towel holder! I've been using random things lately to change it up a bit and never thought to do that. And that Paineel inspired toilet is awesome!

Apologies that I am so late to this party! *waves* If you know me then you know that I've been working on my Freeport house, the first big house I ever bought, back when you could only have one, since forever. Like the rest of the house this bath represents years of tiny refinements. Still... altho it is finished 'for now' the right dev love or player studio love might mean redoing it again. Tsumaranai, I absolutely love that bathroom. I want a bathroom like that in real life, lol. The items you used tie in so well together and I love how you framed in the Paineel bath so well. I am just floored by how wonderfully that bathroom turned out.
