Hey everyone! I've been away from the game since buying it in 2006/2007. Believe me when I say that I was shocked my account info was still there in the digital footlocker! At any rate, I installed the game to play once again, yet it continues to crash at startup. I have a Windows 10 64-bit OS, 32GB RAM, AMD 8-core processor, 2GB GeForce GT 610 graphics card with DirectX 12. All of my drivers are current. Now, all my other games work great (World of Warcraft, World of Warships, SWTOR, World of Tanks etc...), yet this one crashes. It says "Fatal Error: <verify> G:\live\eq2\framework\core\devices\DirectX9RenderDevice.cpp(2018) Failed to create D3D device for NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 01624a49
If you go to EQ2U and look up Direct X 9 and place that in your EQ2 file you should be good to go. EQ2 requires Direct X 9 c I believe and it will co-exist with the current Direct X drivers. I believe Feldon has all the information you need over on EQ2U. Cyrrena
