The zone is just so much more beautiful and --more importantly-- easier on the eyes when you view it at night. Everything is way too bright during the day, that even looking for the black-colored shinies that are designed to stand out in the snow becomes hard to see. I think the zone should just always be nighttime, much like how there is no day/night cycle in the Kingdom of Sky zones.
I can sympathize with the snow blind issue , turning off the bloom effect helps a lot though and if i do have to hang in a snow zone i go ahead and adjust the brightness back a bit .. its not a time consuming or difficult process to do if you are going to be in the zone for several hours or days .
Yeah, it is nicer at night, because of the auroras, if nothing else. I agree with you about the brightness during the day. I'm not sure I ever encountered that in the past, but I'm sure seeing it now. Hunting for the shinies... yeah, I can't really do that, as looking at the white snow for ANYTHING is a bit painful.
