Is their a way to filter on the broker for items you need. And by that say I am looking at collectibles, and only want to see the ones I have not already collected? Or searching spell upgrades and only want to see the ones I already don't have?
Try the Advanced Search. You can filter by such things as item type (spell scrolls are one example), slot it goes in, class that can use it, level range (min/max level), etc. There isn't a filter for only spell upgrades you don't have. However, what you might try is searching for spell upgrades for your class between (your level -10) and (your level) - any that you already have should appear grey in the list.
Custom UI's like Profit and Drums both have filters for item types. Perhaps try them out if you are not using a custom UI already.
