Fiery Blast (Wizard Tree Endline) Doesn't Do ANYTHING

On the time-locked server, Fiery Blast does not provide any benefit, and unless it is changed, it will not be worth speccing into or casting. Originally, the spell was a nuke based on a % of damage recorded over a period of 10 seconds. As I understand, this was changed on live because it was difficult to balance, and there were issues with preventing it from being overpowered. Currently, it provides a small damage proc that lasts 12 seconds. On the last time locked server (fallen gate), the ability was so bad that none of the top raiding wizards ever used it.

Live is different from Kaladim, and you've shown us that you can have the same AA do something different between the two. From a balance perspective, Wizards are behind other dps classes both in the amount of damage potential they currently have and in the utility that they bring to the raid. It's barely worth running a Wizard in raid at the moment. With focus effects being unlocked and new AAs being introduced with SF, the gap will increase significantly unless the wizard end-line ends up giving some sort of benefit.

If you don't want to revert the spell to it's original form, I would suggest changing it to do something else. Wizards already have two temporary damage procs (frigid gift & surge of ro), which provide far more dps. From a cast order perspective, adding a 12 second damage proc doesn't make a ton of sense when we already have to pre-cast iceshield, frigid gift, surge of ro, words of the dread exarch, and najena's ring of readiness. In short, fiery blast, the SF-endline for wizards, will not be used at all unless it's changed to do something useful.
