    Greetings Norrathians!

It’s been an exciting year so far for EverQuest II and we have a lot more to come!

Since All Access membership was announced earlier this year, as well as news on our new weekly update direction, we’re having a great time bringing more to the game each week. There’s a lot coming up too and we wanted to take a breath and tell you all about it!

As many of you know, our All Access membership changes will go live on or around April 23, 2014. Players who choose All Access membership will get access to SOE games, can claim 500SC a month, and get access to special promotions and offers. Members will also get unique benefits in EverQuest II.

In EverQuest II, All Access membership will get you the following benefits:
    1. 7 character slots
    2. Member Benefits buff: Additional 15% coin loot and 10% mount speed
    3. Double all the alternate currencies you earn in game, like Etyma and Loyalty tokens
    4. Member-only Loyalty items
    5. All access to broker, in-game mail, chat, and spell tiers
    6. Early access to content and promotions.
For example, the first “early access to content” for All Access members will be the contested version of the High Keep dungeon with an entirely unique story, characters, and loot. This new zone will go live with the All Access membership launch and be exclusively available to members for two weeks. The dungeon also includes a new Heritage Quest for the Bloody Shank that All Access members have exclusive access to for the same two weeks.

Very soon we will find a permanent home online to list what is coming up on our schedule. Meanwhile, here’s a look at what’s on deck for the weeks following April 23, 2014:
    • Prestige Guild Hall (High Keep)
    • New Loyalty Items, Darklight Palace Prestige Home released
    • New Temple of Veeshan raid zone
    • Convert old alternate currencies like Void Shards or Obols into current tinkering and transmuting components
    • Tunaria Battlegrounds zone.
We have a lot more on our schedule for the year and we’ll keep you updated. We’re thrilled to start our planning for SOE Live this year too! How time flies when you’re having fun!

Now with the All Access, will EQ2 (and I think EQ1 used to get them as well) continue to get the 5 booster packs per month for Legends of Norrath? Or is that being phased out. Early in the discussion it was mentioned as if it were going to remain, but the past couple of months everytime benefits were mentioned, LON boosters were not, leaving people wondering if that is going away.

Good question; I have not seen any confirmation on this myself.

Shouldn't that read: "Players who choose All Access will get membership access to all SOE games,"

Ever since the F2P conversion, everyone already has access to all SOE games. ;)

I was coming here to ask this exactly. I would hate to stop getting my free LON cards.

I have a gold membership with 14 characters. Do I only get to keep 7?

I really hope this is an optional thing. Some of us would prefer to keep the old stuff.

    Actually 22 characters

    Currency exchange = good
Exchanging for transmuting and tinkering components = LAME!!!!!

It's actually kind of insulting. Players spent hours and hours getting the old components the same way we do now getting etymas, and then they're worthless in one fell swoop. A more fair currency exchange would be to convert each one to the next expansion's currency, e.g., obols convert into etymas. An NPC Currency Exchange could provide this service. The exchange rate could be high, and involve plat, even, and still be useful. But tinkering and transmuting components? LAME LAME LAME

I have paid station cash for my 4 extra char slots. I am hoping these will be able to remain in my gold account... they are an essential part of my EQ2 playing strategy. Here's hoping the "7 char slots" was simply an unqualified enthusiastic broadcasting of the intent.

The 7 character thing is what you would get for a new all-access account. If you have extra because of SC purchases, LoN loot, grandfathered in old schemes or whatever then you will keep them.

LoN cards are not mentioned anywhere in the FAQ

Actually, Tinkering components is pretty cool. It can be a PITA to level up Tinkering.
  19. SgtPmpkn Well-Known Member

The only thing that might need refinement is it states 'current' tinkering & transmuting materials... does this mean top teir or all the materials?

so my quest may have already been answered but will throw it anyways. the people that don't use credit cards to gain access to the game, but use game cards that covers a month by month access...will they have this all exclusive access as well, along with the 500sc a month? or will they be left in the wind?
