I want to edit some of the sounds in my game pretty much just for laughs, but will I get banned for doing this?
I don't see how that would cause a ban, not really hacking the game. Many years ago when the sound files were actually .wav files in a folder, you could edit them, now it seems its not as easy to do as before since there's no sound files shown in its own folder anymore.
Create a custom_music folder in the game folder and copy the contents of the music folder to the сustom_music Replace needed mp3 file in the custom_music folder on your mp3 (renamed in original game name file) It is not forbidden..
They still are files...well, not .wav but .mp3. For example look in C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\eq2\music\zones\_exp14 (might have Daybreak in the path name if you did a clean installation in the past three years)
