Necromancer - Blighted Horde VIII / Awaken Grave VII and the Thaumaturgist spell Bloatfly, iv seen seen other class's dumbfire pets as well but all I care is about my class, occasionally as soon as you cast them they don't attack the target, they just stand and look at the caster so it becomes loss damage ( no the target is not dead or just a cosmic effect ) plz look into this.
Did you check ACT for those fights? Sometimes the mob doesn't look like it is attacking, but does damage. It would be helpful to know if this is a visual effect or a flaw in the pets behavior.
