Detrimental wipe-script due to high dps

    There is combat mitigation - hence its already ingame.

    Also due to the claim the only players complaining are the ones who do WAY MORE DAMAGE THAN POSSIBLE: you are very, very, veeeeery wrong! Huge lack of knowledge upon your playerbase there! Ouch.........

    Said problems on Vhaksiz occur with 2 healers in each group and most players dont even press ascension abilities since their casting time is non-efficient (still).
    Imagine having 4 healers and grandmaster/ancient ascension spells and players having obtained 50+ tithe points in potency with items that reduce casting-time AND increase efficiency.

    If you are unhappy to have created mechanics you can`t handle after 2 months of introduction there is quite something amiss.

    Content should always be balanced in comparison to given mechanics - hardblocks with safefails etc. is just lazy and shortsighted in the long run.

    And most important: workarounds don`t provide fun.

    same happening on the last name in Jungle yesterday. Your guys really know how to kill fun in the game. And we dont even have ascension stuff maxed, no epics yet. So why should any one go on playing? better gear or stuff just lets you wipe faster. And dont forget that it feels already like half of the mobs are stand-around-afk-or-do-your-laundry already.

    This came up today when we pulled Rak'ashiir. I talked to caith directly after. This is what the developer in charge of class balance, itemization, and player stats had to say about it.

    Whichever Gdev decided to implement this, please reverse it and listen to your colleagues. What Caith said is an EXPONENTIALLY better system than the one we have now.
    I would much rather see a global reduction in dps than having mobs wipe us because we kill them too fast.

    i dont agree with you liteblade, the encounter scripts and design needs to be in line with the abilities of the characters. If any artifical delays are needed, something is just horribly wrong. You penalize the players for doing what they should do, follow the script and do dps. Many people put alot of time (and money) into improving their chars to get the best dps out of them. Just wiping a raid for doing "too much" or artificially delaying it is just a slap in the face of those dedicated players. That is why many of them are overly frustrated or quitting. Why should you go and improve your char even more if it just gets you wiped faster? or just just have to wait and sit around just not to get hammered? Not only does it frustrate players, it is also a bad business decision as i highly doubt any of these players will buy upgrades for ascension, consumables, tithe coins or any other dbc items if there is no benefit or even worse, penalty for doing it?
    And always keep in mind that there are already around half of the raid scripts where most of the raid is standing around afk. The most horrible of it where 2 tanks, 1 dps and 4 healers need to be active, while 17 people wait afk for the 12 minute being over.

    Whats next, raiding with only 18 so the raid doesn't burn too fast?

    Wait until People have all their Ascension spells and even leveled them up. They will be pretty annoyed, especially if they paid DBC to upgrade and see they cant use them or wipe the raid. And most People dont even have their epics with additional fervor, upgraded epic abilites or new Cyan adornments. Useless already even more in the future. At least for raiding, but i guess most People are also oneshotting solo Content already, so what to raid for? Gear or spells that improve your char and just make you wait or sit around more to not getting wiped?
