Dead Launchpad?

Via Steam client from the UK. Been this way for the past 3 hours or so. Any thoughts?
(screeches at 3 year old sigfile.. :/)

same for me...US PST, 10:45. been this way for several hours...

I'm in the U.S. and getting this with the Steam client too. Has been like this for several hours. I was about to make a thread when I stumbled upon this one.

so much for my day off and wanting to play, i hope they get this fixed soon

Same issue with the Steam client here.
I was still able to run the game by bypassing the launch pad and running everquest2.exe directly.
\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\everquest 2\EverQuest2.exe
Though you won't be able to access the SC store if you run it this way and bypass Steam.

Still cant log in through Steam but can log in fine with the absolute path missing out the launch screen

Just so you know guys think thats it all fixed now i just launched it through Steam

Try uninstalling your current launchpad, and reinstall it from here: http://launch.soe.com/eq2
