As to the discount on the tokens, you could try starting a purchase and see what price comes up. It will ask for a confirmation button to be clicked before it goes through.

Before the lifetime offer, PS2 dropping to FTP, DCUO/FTP was going to sub, EQ, EQ2/FTP thinking about subbing. A yearly sub is $119. $299 lifetime not the rubbish $199 one year membership with benefits you keep mentioning, means recouping membership costs in less than a year.

On reflection looks like EQ2 has gone to maintenance mode.

I just hope this "sudden" rash of issues that they're doing a "Get OUUUUUT!" surprise maintenance for tonight at midnight (well, fine, "tomorrow morning at midnight"; whatever) to hopefully fix doesn't have anything to do with the sudden influx of moneys they just got. If they announce a DDoS/hack afterwards... :-/
