Once again my main character got NOTHING for a daily tradeskill quest because she already has 10 of the limited potions of progress. This is maddening especially since I am hoping for an advanced tradeskill recipe that I could use -- especially early in the expansion. Many of the recipes are considerably less useful as we progress into the expansion. Anyhow - getting no reward is NOT FUN! PLEASE make the potions an optional reward so that folks that are not using them can get a reward!
We don't need limited potions of progress any more, since CD combines don't take an impossibly long time like the ones in PoP. Furthermore, this is a new expansion, I want current expansion quest rewards, not PoP recipe books or potions! I think I'll send in some /feedback.
Not sure if it will work for you or if it was a glitch but I put mine in the bank and it let me continue to get more, as long as I don't keep them in my bags, it seems to let me keep getting more.
Getting more of something you're not using is just wasting inventory space At least the limited potion of progress you can't accept is marginally better than your 2nd+ copy of infuser recipes.. you have to delete the recipes.. I personally hate No Trade and heirloom recipes...
I use the limited potions to crank out infusers one at a time to maximize proc chances. 5 min is about right. What I really want though is more mount gear recipe books. I do remember though that you sometimes get what you ask for and then you're swimming in whatever that was...
Good thinking. I will try this. But its still not something I am using. And getting duplicate infuser recipes is another reminder that it is better to have the advanced recipes be something we can purchase after we finish the tradeskill timeline. I have been running multiple tradeskill alts through the daily quests to try for recipes. What I get more often than not are tack patterns that I don't have the recipes to make! The patterns don't stack so they are cluttering inventory space and are in general getting to be an infuriating thing to get! PLEASE -- just put the stupid recipes up for sale on a vendor. Charge us some of the coins we get for running the quests if you must but this casino mentality is getting old. I live in state that has lots of casinos and could go to a casino if I wanted to gamble with my time! Crafting has been a staple in the game for those of us that like predictability outside of the rat race for random items!! Give us recipes -- I started to say or give us death but -- just please make our recipes easier to come by!
My crafters have collected 40+ patterns so far from the dailies (so excluding the Scrivenors rewards), and in that time have had 4 recipe books drop. That’s a return of roughly 10:1 so far, which I guess is predictable. I don’t have numbers, but I’d say I get a pattern about once every 4 or so dailies. So let’s guess 25% chance of a pattern, 2.5% chance of a book. Most of the patterns are Student, just a handful of the other grades. Unfortunately my 4 book drops only got me 2 sets of recipes as I got 2x Archivists Barding and 2x Archivists Reins books. Shame there isn’t the equivalent of EQ2 Bartering as I’d love to swap the duplicates for Saddle/Hackamore books. And of course apart from the Scrivener rewards I’ve only had one other Archivist pattern drop.
It would be nice if all the pattern pieces would go into the spell depots. Not only the tack patterns but every pattern in the game. I am still carrying around ones from Lavastorm and such.
I'm still running the weekly TS quests from PoP expansion, because there is still a slight chance of getting an Ancient recipe book. Those potions of progress are great for the long combines that are in Disease and Hate TS zones. I also do the Molten Throne TS zone to get my 3 quests in for the week. I refuse to do the other PoP TS zones, because there is too many combines and mindless running around parts of those zones that I can't stand. If I'm lucky to get in 2 Disease and one Molten Throne, I'll skip Hate, because it's kind of a PITA, too. Just not a horrid PITA like the others.
Yeah.. especially since the things are heirloom.. you can't give them to friends or put them on the broker.. the recipes are super rare and the dupes are effectively useless
Running 9 TS toons through the daily TS quests........ I would LOVE to be able to send all of the student tack patterns to Gninja! (I don't have recipes to make even if I wanted to.) The thought of choking up your in game mailbox with all of this junk makes me smile.......... and I really like you Gninja!
For some reason which I cannot quite grasp, sending the idea of sending them to Gninja still makes me smile.......... I just got me through getting yet another unusable pattern with a smile.........
Gratz I've only gotten the archivist hackmore (spellcheck) and believe it or not I do not have one single pattern LOL figures.
O I have tons and tons of patterns just not the one I have the recipe for LOL I couldn't believe it I was so excited to get the book and then started going through all my patterns and not a single one could I make. SIGH back to the drawing board.
It is getting to the point I can't bring myself to do the quest because the rewards are so horrible. Not like the quest is hard, just that the rewards are usually worthless.
