    Caith, whats your idea for what Coercer's are to be exactly? I kind of expected the first coercer update to be a nerf considering we begged and pleaded for coercer's to get some utility back to be competitive with Illusionists and now some of that nice utility is going away. Nerfing Assassins is gonna ruin Mimicry for everyone because the spell is trash on every other class. Are there any changes coming to Mimicry because with that considered thats three Nerfs of the coercer right out of the gate. We begged for years to get Coercers desirable not just for Heroic groups but for raids as well and for Coercers to actually make an impact. Coercers since Thalumbra have been absolutely a pain to login and play if it was a main. Throwing a little fun gameplay at Coercers would be appreciated.

    By fun game plan you Mean t1 DPS? You talked about not being able to mimic a top teir dos to feed yours. You mana regen on the creator isn’t even touchable. That’s what you do. CB/CBOC from your pet is solid. They need to create more CC raid mobs for chanters. Kill this add blows up the raid. Needs to be mezzed while power feeding etc. I guess the question is...what do you expect a chanter to do?

    You seems to implies that coercer are fine, which is clearly not true at the moment.

    Coercer have no unique abilities that makes them really needed in a group or raid. Other class could replace them effectively for maga regen, CC, and to bring buff that greatly help the whole group or raid (and not 1 person only).

    There is today almost no need to have a coercer in a raid except if you have one top T1 dps that wants more buff for himself, you could replace them by an illusionist or a troubador for a better group setup in every case.

    Coercer owns dps is barely at the level of some healers. All coercer new abilities of the last years have been nerfed at some point to a level were it is almost not worth casting them anymore. Mimic is only good if you have a good assassin, otherwise it is not at the level it was in the past with other class.

    I've post in this forum to ask for a nerf for coercer some abilities that was broken in my point of view. But I'm expecting some change to the class to make it usefull again.

    Every class should be welcomed for what they bring, every class should bring something unique to a group/raid, and not because of a broken ability.

    Unless you play a coercer, which is sounds like you don't. Don't assume to think you know what I mean. I have been a huge critic of the lack of coercer attention over the last 3 years. I have been playing a Coercer main since Kingdom of Sky. I know what I am talking about when it comes to this class. Like Moss stated above, Coercer's lack any originality that is required or desirable in a raid or heroic group. Our regen is nothing special. Bards, Illusionists, Beastlords (and Channelers?) do quite fine and I've watched them regen the final fight in this expansion. What the coercer lacks is a REASON to have to have them in raid. It's not just coercers, there are 2 or 3 other classes as well, but I play a Coercer so im speaking on Coercers.

    You immediately jump to T1 dps despite the fact that my post was referring to the buffs we give OTHER classes. I mean did you even read my post? I specifically said that coercers have been begging for some utility. We want to play our class and we want to have an impact on the outcome of whatever it is we are doing. Every time we get A LITTLE love, its ripped away it seems and we go back to being second class characters behind bards and illusionists.

    Secondly. I've submitted entire gameplay adjustments to Caith and the dev team through other channels. A complete revamp of the coercer is not in the cards. The Coercer's skills are what they are and Caith is not going to alter them in any large meaningful way. So what I WANT coercers to do while it would have made for a very fun experience will not come to fruition. So it doesnt matter. What can be controlled is what the skills of the coercer are NOW. Those abilities needs to be tweaked to make them more impactful and desirable to where a group leader or raid leader will say, "I could go with a Coercer or Illusionist, both are great." But right now if you ask any one they would much much much rather have an illusionist in there group for their buffs and personal dps over a coercer. The point is getting the coercer AS GOOD as. Not necessarily BETTER.

    Actually I do play a coercer as an alt and quite simply it’s the easiest class to regen on. My dirge is a main and I do regen well but not solo on the creator. I’ve watched a coercer solo mana feed Creator. Untouchable when it comes to mana feeding. Mana ward not stacking but still solid as one on a DPS. Take you pick of which pet you want to summon to buff the group. Sever hate on the triplet fight makes it a cake walk.

    I mean, your talking about two buffs that you quoted both of which should of never been stackable. That’s like saying let’s allow single bolster to stack on multiple people lol.

    . A well played coercer can’t be touched on creator for mana regen. Our assassin chooses a coercer over an illi atm every raid.

    Fantastic. We have one fight in the game where we do nothing but stand in one place..maybe move to a pedestal 5 feet away... but stand still for the most part and repeatedly spam the same 3 abilities over and over and over without anything else to do. Oh how great it is to be a coercer. I am glad you pointed out the massive appeal coercers have in the game thanks to this one fight.

    Ok, thats enough sarcasm there.. heh.

    But still, the fact remains...that even after all this time to improve the class. The countless suggestions to make the class appealing to a broader range of players and ingame groups and raids seems to fall on deaf ears update after update. I've played this character for years and I still dont know what the goal is for a coercer in the grand plan for eq2. My original post was about not being surprised that the first update for Coercers was a nerf. Not so much about the spells themselves.

    Again, its not a nerf when it shouldn't have been that way in the first place. MANAWARD stacking making DPS do trillions wasn't intended.. PL stacking from multiple to increase that pot wasn't intended.. You can't say it was a nerf when u know it wasn't intended but got lucky to play with it that way. I did ask you what your thought process was on coercers. What do you think they should do?

    It would be nice, that tanks was back excluded from peaceful link, as before the RoS AddOn.
