I created a Channeler on IoR server, leveled to 100 and bought my way up to some decent starting gear. One thing that I transferred over was a Channeler Cloak (relic version). Now I realize that I have a huge learning curve to play this class as it will take me a while to figure out the mechanics. However, the cloak decreasing dissonance by 1000 seems huge. Big enough to take a relic slot and lose a 1000+ potency. Is that minus 1000 for every single spell that raises dissonance? Am I correct in using this cloak over anything else (except for the non-relic version). tyia
The cloak only reduces the casting costs of Siphoned Protection. If you should use the cloak or not depends on the situation. After you get past the learning curve, it's great for tank healing if there is no shaman around. Otherwise, 1000 potency is better.
