Think of how hard it will be to get them when the Expansion goes live ,as because with no new assentions the celestials will still be needed.

    (1) Get there in time for the START, not several kills in.

    (2) Hit the trash mobs AND BOTH names.

This assumes that (1) there will not be some other way to get Celestials, and (2) ignores the fact that we're levelling up to 120, so the Celestials you get in CD will be irrelevant.

Not irrelevent if you are still levelling ascensions. Those are not being changed so Celestial Doctrine will still be of use.

If someone is able to make a CD T1+T2+Event run for a twink or a friend it should be possible to get the celestrial doctrine quest for this onece a month. PQs are the blocker because you need much more players and they are not doable even today (most times)
  6. Bludd Well-Known Member

needs 7 players to start and if you have 1 full group of big dps and good heals, it's doable. wind pq and water pq scale mob health with number of players
  7. Beee Well-Known Member

No.. Air is not doable with 7 players you will not be able to kill the last mob within the 90 min

Asking for the pq to be removed from doctrine quest is very valid , already now its hard to get enugh people do the pqs is rough since theres no reward other than update on doctrine and going forward there wont be many running this

I think the problem is that most people hunt dragons now. After the dragons are gone-people will start doing public quests again
  11. Beee Well-Known Member

why should they do this? rewards are useless, no ethernals coins

I generally think about 16-19 players is the minimum to successfully kill the PQs.

Just checked the Wind PQ which started on Thurgadin 2 minutes ago… ZERO participants (OK one when counting me ;) )

    PQs are dead

You need 7 people to start the PQ, we have done it with 4 and 3 on stick. Sure it takes some more time to do it, but its possible.
  15. Beee Well-Known Member

Air PQ is never ever doable with 4 players within the 90 min timer
  16. Ingerimm Well-Known Member

I done it with 4 Beee, it needs approx 45 to 55 minutes. It´s a thing of tactic. Dont pull more mobs as you can handle. And in part 2, kill fist named, then collect the spiders, kill them … then went to second named and its doable.

If you want take all thinks on the same time, with a few peoble, it does not work, thats right.
  17. Beee Well-Known Member

Sorry Ingerimm - never ever the Air PQ could be done with 4 players in 45 minutes ..

But back to the very old first post: The 2 PQs are the hardest part of the Celestrial Doctrine Quest .. and the stupiest Thing. They really should be removed even because the quest will still be usefull for new players to get the Ascension Celestrials
  18. Sigrdrifa EQ2 Wiki Author

I'm willing to bet that high-end raid-geared folk can do the PQs is lesser numbers. But it is still slow as all get out and tedious. And that's not the demographic who most needs/wants to do the PQs. The raid folks want to do it in the couple of days right after the Celestial quest becomes available for the month, then not again.

A guild, however, can band together to help guildmates and friends do a PQ. So, if you aren't able to bull your way through a PQ with a couple of people, make friends, join an active guild, etc. I guess.

Just remove these from the doctrine quest , going from next expansion its gonna be nearly impossible to get the pq updates and some people would still like to run the doctrine especially for alts
  20. Ingerimm Well-Known Member

    If you mean Beee. ...

The PQ encounter scale with the amount of players in the zone, these are designed for a minimum of 7 players.
The damage in PQ's is normalized, so it depends only very conditionally on gear.

Of course, you should not run the PQs "naked".

Celestial abilities is the strongest form of abilities in the game, so it should also take some effort. Why would alt characters need the celestial versions of their abilities if they do not even have enough equipment to handle the PQ's with 7 people?

Because that would mean that they are not really played.

All other conditions of the Celestial Doctrine Quest can be done by each character on level 120 solo and is probably more the concern of those here in discussion.

But there are still more usable game gaps, you could then get as many celestial spells as possible with an alt one and keep them in the inventory, then copy them to the isle of refuge and then trade them to other chars and copy them back.

Just as an example of how some people would exploit something when it's too easy to get there.
