I recently tried to craft the Carapace Buckle in Plane of Innovation: Masks of the Marvelous [Expert]. I successfully crafted the item, but the quest did not update. Others on my server quickly confirmed the same thing. Crafting these recipes inside Expert zones will not update the quest or achievement. This is a serious bug that cost me four of my hard-earned components. I've already petitioned to the the quest updated. I just wanted to throw this out there to warn people not to waste their components as I have.
Update on the situation. Daybreak responded to my petition by giving me back the components and letting me craft it again. Here's the response from customer support.
