BETA! Read this first

    So you can either switch to Beta version and download at least 22 Gigs and patch, or do 2 steps below FIRST and download a like 100 MB patch:

    1) Go into your EQ2 game directory, same folder that has EQ2.exe, create a folder called BetaServer
    2) Copy everything from your EQ2 game directory into that new folder

    Now when you switch to Beta version and patch it takes minutes not hours. Hope that helps someone. Not sure why they have it designed this way, hundreds of people downloading 22 gigs has to cost them something :p

    Or, as the DEV's have already suggested, copy the PAKS and Music folders into the BetaServer folder. Copying everything is very inefficient as it, well, copies everything.

    After copying the two aforementioned folders, you will have about 120m "patch" takes about 1-2 minutes.

    Is it the same as the KA beta? If I never deleted that folder would it be the same?

    it will patch the missing files. The largest chunk of the download is just the normal game, so yes.
