I haven't played in some years and have never tried a beastlord until now; however, it seems the DPS is skewed in the Wizard's favor. I haven't gotten far but my wizard can cast a few spells and be done while my beastlord gets beaten on for a while by the same low level, even con mobs. Am I missing something or does this change at some point? I'll be the first to happily admit I don't know much about the current state of either, let alone their state on the progression servers, specifically, Fallen Gate.
