    • Reduced the multiplier added to Fatal Followup V by Gut from 3 to 2.
    • Reduced the multiplier added to Fatal Followup V by Nectrotic Blade from 3 to 2.
    • Reduced the final result multiplier of Fatal Followup V from 2 to 1.7.

    So, are you going to increase the damage of everything else to compensate? I mean, we're already being drug by chains behind the mages (I can't catch up. Mages in my raid do 2-3x the damage, even ones that are not supposed to be considered as more than support, and my lil sin is not geared poorly). These are the worst things you could have done to my class. If anything, we needed a boosted bump, not a nerf. Like, if I look at ACT, these are literally the only melee attacks that show up. EVERYTHING else registers as 0% of my damage, if it even hits at all. GMs have refused to upgrade poisons, and melee damage is still in the bottom of the pot. I think it's not going to be long before I see my way out. I just can't support these kinds of decisions to my class and still enjoy the game.

    Adjustment made because of extreme buffed occasion induced high damage numbers will only kill a class. If you care to check high number hit incident you will see inflated potency from coercer, which you are taking the stacking away also. I really want to write something constructive but I am really running out of words. Maybe consider to move some of assassin's ability up and not have void burn/empyral incineration being 2nd or 3rd on the parse? We are playing a full 18 holes with only a driver and nothing else, and now you are replacing our driver with a putter.

    Ranger buffs to pretty much it all, Assassin get there only dmg skill nerfed. maybe time to change class...

    Terrible idea... absolutely god awful. The problem was never with FFU, the problem was with stacking manawards. Take that out of the equation and assassins are on track with mages in a straight fight. Add a joust we fall behind. Make it ranged and we are useless. From the original vision of what assassin was supposed to be we aren't even close as is and you nerf the only functioning ability with no way to compensate? Remember you had to increase the multipliers last expansion because the reuse was so ridiculously high that there was zero point in using the ability? So you are putting it back? Caith I have sent you the numbers. Heck I'll send you the gigs worth of logs if you like. This is a huge mistake that will destroy the class. And believe me I have no intention of playing this class lottery any further. You left rangers broken for years, then fix them briefly, then nerf them again, now they are getting buffed while assassin gets rekt, and I'll bet a bunch of people switch only to have you say in another 3 weeks "Oh this isn't functioning as intended" and nerf em again leaving both broken. NO FLIPPIN MORE! This is absolutely unacceptable and I hope if this passes beta people drop subs. Lord knows I will be.

    So with this change would it be prudent to publicly list the different damage modifiers for the different CA's etc? So that they are publicly available for all ?
    I think this in general will benefit all.
    As im sure there is various interpretations of which CA's does what etc. (I know i got some info from way back from a dev which doesnt match with what others got.. )

    Take that out of the equation and assassins are junk. RedBB got it right there, Caith, please read this, you are shifting a distribution left because a long drifting right tail of skews. Putting a stop to stacking manawards already normalized the skew cause by right tail. I know not everyone is good in math so I am explaining it in a very nice way that average people can understand. This is not whining or crying, just stating facts that we pledge you to not ignore.

    big baddie named in AC.. after 3/18 patch how can nec blade/gut/ffu and assassinate(noticed on other named) i all have the same excact damage amount and all only hit for 50%... Houston we have a problem

    It's the same damage amount because names have a %hp per hit limit they can take. You can't test high hitting skills on heroic mobs, you either have to use current ish raid mobs or a training dummy

    Devs have gone into hiding on discord and it won't let me post parses here so I guess it is safe to say all the input, numbers, and documentation means very little to them. They are going to do what they are going to do and try to bleed all the players who jump to another class for more money. Next FotM MAGES! because if assassin parses are any indicator of "too much dps" or "too OP" well lord knows they certainly are now. I don't know about the rest of you rats, but I'm getting off this sinking dumpster fire of a ship. Had such a good thing going with RoS too, but as is tradition with a couple of yall one step forward and two back. Nothing you say has any value anymore, like Kander's "we don't like to nerf things" or Chan's "we will do better to work with the community" or "balance" or "less p2w". All BS.

    I would hold your horses and wait to see what changes in beta with further updates before deciding to do one thing or another. Keep up with the constructive feedback hopefully it helps. We need genuine class balance, I think bards should not be forgotten too but I wont go into that on this thread.

    Maybe if enough hell is raised about it now, they fix the manaward issue and leave FFU alone. Then with the bumps to the other classes we are actually close to balanced. I'm just hot under the collar it is getting so difficult to actually show numbers and get any kind of constructive conversation out of certain devs. I fear this is one of those cases where all the feedback in the world isn't going to make a difference. They will do what they want to do and if we don't like it "You can go play something else". If Caith or Kander want to sit down and have a civil conversation I am more than willing and I will eat every word I have said here and apologize. But until that day it just keeps escalating.

    A bit over a year ago, I parsed evenly or above mages with my sin. Then a mage update went in and I couldn't ever catch up with the occasional short spikes that i would luck out with a low hp mob and somehow beat them. Correct me if I am wrong but assassin class is supposed to be T1 DPS. For the past year, it has felt like T2. But I considered that the devs would work on a melee update and we would be even again with work we could parse with casters again. Now, instead of that, we are getting a nerf. I sit back and think of the wasted effort, trying to give devs credit for taking on one set of mechanics at a time and doing my best to be patient and wait. Spent probably too much money for some celestial books that turns out are going to be equally useless. So it's a game, and I am not going to spend much of my life whining over or being angry about it. I just want to know...what are you thinking? You make this class pointless. If even with blood, sweat, and tears, getting the range, the positioning, saving burst for the jousting in just to try and get close to mage DPS as they sit back and boom everything, we can't consistently be at least near the top of the parse, why should this class exist? Why should raids have sins? Bring a pocketful of wizards and summoners and you have better results. So with this update, I am most likely retiring my daggers. I loved this class. As I start working on another class my raid will need more, I am sad. And yes, I would like my celestial books back.

    If manaward is no longer stacking, warlock's damage potential is way higher than sin. It can be easily tested and I urge we collectively request Caith to kindly do it before making the change.

    In the case the devs "really" don't want big FF that mess with the designed script, atleast Gushing Wound, Assasinate, Masked Strike, Death Blow and Necrotic Blade and Evis need a 150-200% dmg increase like the rangers.

    To have a class's ALL Other ability doing less than a rune proc (empyral incineration/void burn) is really not conceptually acceptable when you are taking down the ONLY ability that does more than empyral incineration. Makes sense?

    I tried to write a constructive one, let's use this as a test of "will constructive suggestion help". I have attempted my best to make everything sounds logically viable. However, this can also proof our opinions and analysis have very little effect on developer's decision, which is actually a test of the true nature of the dev/player relationship.

    We are not directly demanding change, we are requesting extensive and reproduceable simulation and testing before change.

    Sad part is it has been tested inside out, upside down backwards and 20 different ways on every vex fight and before. Barring any myth crits to FFU, it is the only thing holding assassins in line with the rest of the DPS. We used wizards conjys necros all similarly geared same fight same groups same buffs same stats. And everything held in line with the current system. If the spike damage is that much of a problem then an entire reevaluation of the class is in order starting with the most basic CA because the entire thing was built around the concept of large spikes with gaps in between from day one. Now they are cutting that by nearly 40% with a 25-35% loss overall, unless the assassin is max geared they are going to be where rangers are now. And even if they are a lesser geared mage is going to blow right by them like they are sitting still. You would be forced to stack manawards just to get assassin back to where it was, and that is an option being taken off the table (which shouldn't even be needed to begin with).

    Reduce the reuse on the abilities that increase FFU potential and its not all doom gloom. Other abilities are needing tweaked so its not procs from runes / other classes . When your outgoing damage typically consists of FFU and shadows in top 6 with others being procs / ascensions its fair to say we are not well rounded and reliant on that chain. Compare with beastlord for example and they could have similar damage on a <2 minute fight(no 2nd reset) and they would have slot 1 advantage at top of their parse then closely followed by primals abilities in their top 6 on damage. Using this class as example of consistent damage and not heavily affected by resets on abilities on long cooldowns.

    Shortening the reuse doesn't remove the reliance on it. Raising the other CAs will. But I've been beating that drum for a while since the first announcement came out as a way to balance the nerf. Not gonna happen from the sound of things.

    I cant do FFU from range, At least give the ASN an option of not being so specific. So if we are going to be balanced with other class dps we must be balanced in all area's. So please either consider giving asn more range or keeping our specialty ours. Close combat DPS
