Any point in upgrading 2.0 Pet for summoners?

All my toons seem to benefit somewhat from 2.0 spells, some more than others. Is there any benefit at all to upgrading the pet spells? The other one seems pretty weak as well (at least for Necro).

It will increase fervor for new tier pets.

for conjurers Epic 2.0 spells:
Conflagration (Anicient) upgrades Fireseed to +10,1 Fervor (can be casted on 3 players of conjurer's group)
Planeswalker (Ancient) produces 23,5 Fervor to the primary pets

At Ancient, Reap increases fervor by 2 per increment.. I cast Lifetap quite often so it usually procs 9, 10 times I think? and each cast resets the timer. So that gives you an extra 20 fervor throughout the fight
