AI is killing contested raid mobs, and it's really no secret to anyone

I am sitting here in disbelief. You sit there and slander our guild and make outrageous false claims.

I take the time to point out how wrong you are and even PROVIDE EVIDENCE that you guys are straight up losing x3 vs x3 and you just go ahead and make up more crap?

On a more serious note, Darkhand is no friend of ours. They don't like us, they've said so on the forums. The only reason they were there is to try and take the contested mob. Before we started recording everyone ran to the mob at once and they trained the zone to it to wipe us but we moved aside and they ran onto Xig with every add they could carry and died.

We pulled Xig. Banned wiped us, and when Darkhand came back they wiped Darkhand without any mobs or Xig involved. You can see from the video after that, we show up, wipe Banned. Take the mob. Darkhand shows up. Banned shows up. Darkhand evacs and let's Banned jump on us. We take the mob anyway. We, the collective. We, the machines.

You are telling me you think that 1/3 of the raid was "botted" when we both had even numbers at the end.

I watched the video, but I had a hard time understanding what was happening. One guild was fighting the mob, and another came up and killed the first guild, who oddly seemed to not be fighting back against the PVPers?

There are 3 guilds there. Valor(Good), Darkhand(Good), Banned(Exiled)

Darkhand wont attack Banned when Valor is present. Banned wont attack Darkhand when Valor is present. Darkhand trained to the mob and wiped to it. Valor engaged and Banned came in and wiped Valor with Darkhand watching. Valor came back and wiped Banned with Darkhand watching. Valor then engaged the mob, Banned came back about 1/2 way through and Valor killed the mob and Banned while Darkhand watched.

TLDR: Valor got the mob with Darkhand watching and Banned attacking.

Remind me, is Death toll a PVP server or a PVE server? Can you really claim to be the pre-eminent guild on this server when you got chain wiped for half an hour? Congratulations on getting the mob, it counts for very little.

I did enjoy my 109 Banned kills yesterday.

Ya, winning the contested target means very little in a game revolving around PvE progression. Gotcha.

For the last week Valor has mopped the floor with Banned in 2v2s 3v3s, group and raid PvP. This is literally the first time in weeks they've managed to kill us and it was 2am when our raid comp was crap. We had way too many tanks and healers. Versus their raid of necros, sks and rangers, and 4 charmers. Were we actually "botting", don't you think we'd add a few more DPS into the mix? I mean come now, they couldn't even stop our x3 from killing Vazgoz with 8 people when we did the same to them with literally 2 people.

Keep that propaganda machine turning. Whatever it takes to keep you playing, it gets boring quick when theres no one to dominate.

So which group is supposedly botting, and how can we tell this watching the video?

The last clip in the video shows a third of Valor's raid on auto-follow. The PVP clips shows the same toons standing stock still in combat and casting set spell rotations with big gaps or not casting at all. The thing is, you can't establish anything definitively with video proof. People in Valor claimed to me that they had a bunch of toons on auto-follow because they thought it would be funny to look like bots. All you can do is look at circumstantial evidence to paint a picture

- 1/3 of raid on auto-follow
- Raid logs in when people rename their pets after raid mobs in raid zones
- Broker (particularly woodworker) is flooded with stacks of 1K+ totems selling at a net profit of about 5s per combine.
- There only appear to be 10+ actual players who raid in their guild.

I think people are more accepting of bots that don't cause disruption and just sell plat. Contesteds are a big tradition on PVP servers, even though the loot is irrelevant. Cheaters downing mobs ruins the game experience for people who legitimately want to fight over them.
