AI is killing contested raid mobs, and it's really no secret to anyone

I've watched AI groups from the guild Valor kill several contested now. It seems to be common knowledge on Deathtoll. Is this now allowed? It is so obvious that there is no way DBG doesn't know about it, so I'm guessing this is OK, now? Word on the street is that there is also software that tells users when the mobs are up, is this possible, and if so is it allowed? This pretty much just destroyed the PvP server, at least as far as I'm concerned.

Can any Dev comment on if this is truly legal game play? I'd appreciate an official response, because for the last week that I've been watching contested these AI groups at contested raid mobs have become ubiquitous on Deathtoll.

Their response is you get sent to drunder, but they have hard times finding these players since they don't play the game. Se reason you still see conjs afk kill all over

Lol unless you count Frenchies and Germans as AI. Come into out team speak and have a good time, that is what we are all about.

we saw caith hanging out in zone like 2 weeks ago when valor was botting knubed.

they know its going on, but maybe they dont have permission to take action against them.

Its really lame when X2-X3s are botted, because all you need is 1 group focusing on it and then the rest of the players can block pvp while the mob is being taken care of.

I should also mention the leader of valor, Nizzar has been known to bot, and use his guild as a front for selling plat/game currency for money in other games.

Either way its really messed up and when you see it is so obvious. Why did they make drunder again?

Lol I can assure you none of our raids are botted, and Nizzarr has never botted.

Don't get mad because we stomp Banned all day and night.

    how can you assure me?

man theres a reason why nizzar can play on p99 or p99 red anymore. anyone who knows nizzar knows he came to play eq2 with the intent of botting and monetizing. Does Valor do guild splits? Do you get a split of what your guild bank sells?

and now its 2 guilds that have seen you try and bot contested mobs. But hey, keep coming in and assuring us that nothing is going on. I am sure that will go well for you.

without being on the server, I personally doubt they are botting x2s. as x2s are easy to kill with just a group or less (heck my guild killed Knubed the other day with a group that consisted of 3 healers, tank, illy, and wizard). slowest fight ever.

that being said Caith from what I gather is one of the more top GMs atm, if anyone has power it's him (Holly I believe is above him, since she is executive producer).

but they said "screenshots won't help" or logs. which basically means that they can run around doing whatever 99% of the time, since the GMs don't play the game except to log in and play games with people (Gninja has played a few games of "hide and seek" on stormhold).

they said people that AFK kill will get sent to drunder, yet I still see names camped hard in Lavastorm :p
if the guild is botting, then there is that as well

Let me sum this thread up..

People are mad that Valor is so hardcore they cannot compete. So they make up some BS.

the stupid thing about this imo, is that they wont warn the botters when they decide to ban them. This means that everyone else must deal with botters messing up pvp/pve competition, getting loot, and messing up the entire game/economy in the meantime.

and yeah afk botting is bad, does that mean you can bot as long as you are at the computer? /bogglw

PS I plan on video capturing the next time I see bots doing contested, and posting it on YT. I hope others do the same when they see this crap.

I tried out this Bot business recently. Not AFK but, active. And, also in non-contested.

It's a little like going from walking to work to riding in a Porsche. Think I'll keep my Porsche.

I know from my time in ArcheAge that such programs are possible, but have no idea if they are available for EQ2 or not. In ArcheAge, land and housing are not instanced, and there is a very limited amount on a first-come basis. If a person does not pay their taxes, after a period of time, their house is demolished and the land becomes available, first-come. Programs were being used there that not only listed all expiring titles to land, as well as instantly teleported a player to the land--even to different continents--and used something called "packet injection" to place their claim on the land milliseconds before anyone else even had the option to do so. It became very apparent when the same few people always "clicked faster" and won, even though there could be up to 100 people there trying too.

There were plenty of people on the AA forums claiming such programs do not exist, but it took me all of five minutes to search them out. It was funny because the person who wrote the program was selling license to use only, and on the server I was on, he had quit selling them because he had sold his limit--if everyone had the program, his "clients" would lose their advantage. I reported this on the forums, as I was constantly shouted-down there by those who said no programs exist, and I should just L2P better, and when I showed the proof, I was banned from the AA forums for "advertising an exploit!" Funny as can be to me to see the one calling for an end to exploits being stifled while those who use the exploit just keep on trucking. Trion is definitely on my "never again" and "no longer exist as far as I'm concerned" lists.

Contested, even with no loot, are a tradition on PvP servers.
