Hi everyone, I am posting this thread because I am not sure if there is something wrong with the drop rates of the Tier 7 mission crate from the currency merchant Michaelya at Bazaar. I wasn't keeping a record of the drops (usually was transmuting them), but I was kind of curious if there was anything wrong with the drop rates. So for the last 4 weeks I banked them and here is the result of the of the four weeks drops from the merchant. Since the merchant purchase is on 5 hours timer I kept an average of 2 purchase a day and these r the drops from 26 days. (pls keep in mind that the drops r class related so I got only the plate ones as drop) Harmonic Spirit Warrior Plate Gloves 7 Harmonic Spirit Warrior Belt 6 Harmonic Ancestral Defender Band 5 Harmonic Ancestral Defender Stud 5 Harmonic Ancestral Defender Plate shoes 4 Harmonic Spirit Caller Smasher 4 Harmonic Spirit Caller Chain 4 Harmonic Spirit Warrior Vambraces 4 Harmonic Spirit Caller Belt 3 Harmonic Spirit Caller Stud 3 Harmonic Ancestral Defender Star 3 Harmonic Spirit Warrior Bracelet 2 Harmonic Spirit Warrior Band 2 and they cost me 4524 Bazaar crowns. I am NOT posting this thread for the celestial drops. I know they r rare, kind of like a powerball. However two gear piece I am looking for is "only fabled" gear and almost non existent: Resonant Ancestral Defender Greatplate & Resonant Ancestral Defender Legplates Pls keep in mind that the drop numbers I wrote r only for last 4 weeks but I have been doing the merchant purchases since the second week of the launch date which is like period of 45 days. During this time I probably spent like 7-8k bazaar crowns but since I didn't keep the records of it I just posted the 4 weeks which I have a reliable record. When I checked the census data, for Skyfire server it shows that: Resonant Ancestral Defender Legplates discoed on 17th of December Resonant Ancestral Defender Greatplate discoed on 16th of December (which I have no idea how it is even possible to get to 4700 resolve and have enough bazaar crowns in less then 18hours of expac launch???) My question: Is it possible that the drops of tier7 bugged? or at least not properly adjusted? I know that when it comes to RNG GDs usually say it is "working as expected" However considering the time and coin cost of it do u think it is a correctly adjusted drop rate? Lets say it needs 3-4 months daily purchase of Tier7 crates. Is it a properly adjusted drop rate? If it needs this or that long time to match the odds of the RNG wouldn't the gear stats would be out outlvled by then? What is the point of setting a drop rate so rare that by the time one can get it it is alrdy outlvled? Pls keep in mind that I am writing these for a fabled gear piece NOT some celestial rare drop ty Ubi
I get the feeling that Kander (or somebody else there in charge of these things) is a big gambling (RNG) fan, and thinks that we should be as well. News flash, I may chase that carrot for a while, but not for very long. I don't go to the local indian casino, either. It's just not fun for me.
RNG is the laziest way imaginable, second only to P2W, to gate gear progression. It had its uses in the past, and still does to some degree, but to use it as a means of inorganically prolonging the expansion life is craven business practice.
I have 7 belts, 3 of the same earring, 4 of the same bracer. I just stopped. Its hard enough for me to get the tokens..and now that people have pretty much completely stopped doing the PQs, makes it even harder.
Same issue. Ended up getting same stuff over and over. No longer worth the time investment. Good job. Awesome implementation of a craptastic rng system

Just noticed the celestial weapons and a few other items were removed from the crate. Any mention this was going to happen and what the purpose was? Such a rare chance to get one but now its zero.

Same issue here with tier 7. I started buying crate about two weeks ago, so far I have: 4 - Harmonic Spirit Caller Belts 2 - Harmonic Spirit Warrior Belts 3 - Harmonic Ancestral Defender Bands 2 - Harmonic Ancestral Defender Mail Boots These type of odds have me not wanting to continue playing. I'm a solo player who has return after two long breaks, 2012-2018 played for two months, now back in 2021 and I have played for 1 1/2 months and losing motivation to stay. If I can't improve my toons (reasonably), then there is no carrot to keep me. Which equals no $$ as I will cancel my subscription after 3 months.
Now he is only offering a tier 5 receptacle. For the same price, tho. If I've ran enough instances to have 87 bazaar crows, why would I want to buy yet another tier 5 box?
