People have been complaining about really bad lag on Thurgadin for several hours. They asked for a server reset, which probably has to include all servers.
Someone had been complaining about needing cabbages and getting nothing but jum jum. Then the announcement came. Prevailing theory was that they were doing a quick patch to put the cabbage back in. As good as any other theory I heard.

Sunday seems a poor choice for downtime. I imagine there are more would-be players available today than during one of the weekdays, but maybe they didn't want to pick on those five days too much.
There's got to be a new exploit. People on Rivervale were saying maybe Caith was the one patching it, because he's active on Discord today. Poor guy! This is Christmas vacation week, never mind a Sunday, jeez!
uumm,.. wait,.. I thought all that "rigorous" testing some time ago was supposed to get rid of "lag."
I tend to experience lag when I play EQ2...about a couple hours in. I don't think it's server side. But, maybe if the programmers could take a closer look at garbage collection...
