    Ross took another deep breath. The child and everyone concerned with that case were sleeping and those concerned with the other cases looked like they needed sleep too. Although, the Halfling's case seemed pretty straightforward. At the very least she could sort out that one before her shift was over. She opened the cell again. "Mr. Brique, please come with me."
    On the stairs the Halfling guard looked up and saluted on instinct. "Yes, Captain."
    Ross glanced over as the Guard's face turned red.
    The other Brique laughed. "Do I get out on good behavior?"
    "No. You get to write a statement and spend a couple of weeks doing community service in the Down Below."
    The Halfling's face fell as he tossed all his cards into his hat and put it on his head. "Aw! Again? What's the point of havin' a brother in the Guard if you don't get light sentencin' out of it?"
    "That's not how it works, Nerry." Private Brique said.
    ***
    Ginnar nodded. "Ay dun min'." He pulled a bedroll out of his knapsack and laid it out by the door so that he'd know if anyone entered during the night.
    ***
    Grumblefoot nodded. "Ay'm still a lil' ligh'headed, but Ay kin walk." He pushed himself up to his feet and bowed. "Thank yer."
    "We should see where the others went to." Llew said, chewing her lip again.
    ***
    Rothgut paused and Charlemin bumped into him. "Sorry."
    The old Ratonga mearly grunted. "The grumpy elfs' footsteps are confunsed heres. I's thinks he lost his ways and then rans outs."
    "An attack?"
    "Noes...maybes? Is confusing footsteps." Rothgut looked up. "Let's keeps goings ands sees."
    ***
    Alaric did not respond to his wife's question. He finished making the tea and frowned, unsure of how the child drank it he put milk, honey, sugar and peppermint on the tray.
    Rene looked up the ramp again. "I want to meet him." She said. Alaric nodded and they headed up together.
    ***
    Aloysiius grinned. "I already promised the young lady a Satyr story."
    Hoddmimir found a place to sit on the floor and folded his arms across his chest, closing his eyes and feigning disinterest.
    ***
    "Good night, Lady." Nordri bowed as she left and shook his head at the other Dwarf. "Ay'm fine, thank yer and Ay'm sorry. Ay think she mentioned somethin' 'bou' 'er parent's naw knowin' and Ay just blurted tha' out like Ay were talkin' ter a Dwarf-wife. Me an' me big mouth."
    ***
    Isatis rolled her eyes. "By Tunare! How can we trust the word of someone we know to be under coersion spells? Do you really think we're that daft?"

    Telsi stood and walked closer to the bars. She listened intently the the conversation and laughed "That's not a light sentence?" she asked. Suddenly she collapsed to her knees again. She felt nausea welling in her stomach and something else. She could sense something was wrong but she was unsure what.
    ~~~~
    "Yeah I'm fine," Aly sighed as she smoothed her shirt down "Thank you," she whispered. She stepped back and fell to her knees. She swallowed "Maybe I'm not so fine," she whispered as she felt a wave nausea begin to build as well as another feeling, a feeling she could not identify.
    ~~~~~
    Tim rummaged through the bag and pulled a vial of silver fluid. He uncorked it and handed it to his brother. "Drink this, it should help with the pain."
    Carl nodded as he took the vial and drained it. He made a face due to the taste.
    "No I can't make it taste better." Tim said with a smile
    Carl sighed "I was possessed for ten years... until yesterday. The demon left some remnant behind and it's spreading. I'm trying to get rid of it but it hurts... and if I can't redeem myself... then I'm going to die."
    ~~~~
    Stareye nodded "I can assure you all but one of your companions is safe." she frowned "No, she breathes, but her heart does not beat.
    Zach sighed "That must be Aly, she's fine."
    Stareye raised an eyebrow "If you say so... but there is something wrong..." she sighed and opened the door. "You must go now," she said. "There is still time you will not be spotted if you hurry,"
    ~~~~
    Kyriu frowned. "You think they were ambushed?" she asked wishing again she could reach her staff. Her nerves showed on her face.
    ~~~~
    The boys frowned at their sister "Okays," Limberger answered "This betters bes goods,"
    Fayberry smiled "Thanks yous,"
    ~~~~~
    Sivraj shook his head "Not your fault." he sighed "She will recover, and when Lady Brienae returns she will be alright, but she can never see her little girl as more than a child." he shook his head "You probably don't know this but when Lady Brienae left she took nothing with her, no money, no weapons, no clothes except those on her back. What she told her father was she wanted to experience life as a common adventurer. She has grown much." he looked again at the other dwarf "I hope you are feeling better." he said trying to change the subject.
    ~~~~~
    Lord Henris scoffed "There are better ways to help the child than controlling her."
    Brienae fluttered over to her father "Are you alright?"
    Lord Henris nodded "As for us attacking first. This spirit bud called for help and you were not here to answer."
    The guards blushed as they finished casting the chains. They looked at the Ratonga entangled in vines.
    "With your permision I would like to take the young lady home with me where she can rest and perhaps we can help her."
    The guards nodded.
    Zulgahr's eyes squinted and he frowned. He sighed.
    "Well if you don't believe me.." he began, raising his injured hand, letting it glow red
    "I guess you'll just have to see for yourself!" he finished sternly, dispelling the charm spell he had on the Ratonga. The collar glowed for a few more seconds before the runes faded
    Stinsmia's struggling ceased for about 10 seconds. Then she let out a combination growl and scream, starting to struggle wildly against the roots that kept her sessile.
    "Let me out of these roots!" she screamed loudly, panting and growling again. Her struggles became more desperate and she blinked. She looked to Zulgahr and shook her head
    "No one controls me! No one! No one can help me! Not you.. Master." she spat out, twitching her tail.
    "Not anyone! There's no one able to help me! No one controls me and no one can help me either! J-Just let me go and then get away from me!" she screamed, stopping her struggles to rest a moment before continuing again.
    Lamia frowned and shook her head
    "For onces I's thinks I's agrees withs hers.. Shes is muchs toos unstables to be kept enclosed in even a building.. She's too destructive!" she exclaimed in surprise.
    Zulgahr merely smirked
    "Fiesty ain't she?" he teased
    ====================
    Shiasia nodded and smiled
    "It's fines.. No needs to thanks." she said softly. She then whispered back.
    "Oh.. by the way.. Apparently your mother and I have a lot in common.."
    She frowned as the girl fell to her knees. She ran up to get Senriala
    "Miss Senris! Somethings is wrongs withs Alys! I's thinks shes mights needs yous attentions.." she called
    ====================
    Rotwhisker looked to Carl and blinked, rather intrigued by the little history check
    "Wow.. Wells some hows wes cans hopefullys gets rids ofs thats verys soons.." he said
    His head leaned down
    "That's probablys nots as bads as what's I's has dones.." he thought to himself, not meaning to voice his thoughts aloud. He put his hand over his mouth and his grey-ish fur changed colour slightly to accompany a blush. He really hated that habit he had..
    ====================
    Vhyrenia stepped into the tavern and frowned, already spotting her target at the bar, drinking an ale. She came up behind him, and slipped her dagger against his throat
    "I'll make this easy for you.. Shane Al'Mhur'an... Come with me, and you don't get hurt.. but are just put in the cells to serve your time.
    Resist.. And I'll have to just go to more.. cold tactics." she warned. Shane merely gave a malicious and creepy grin
    "Fine toots.. You win.. I'll go nice and easy.." he said, putting his hands behind his back, which were then tied together with rope.
    He would attempt to resist.. at some point. He was unsure of when though. The female kerra sighed and nodded approvingly, dragging the slightly younger kerra with her to the guardhouse
    ====================
    A Satyr made his way through Faydwer slowly, smiling to himself in content at the beauty of Nature. His features were well defined, the horns and colour being the only somewhat different things. Long black hair braided down past his shoulders, a slight goatee, black fur and hooves.
    His Satyr horns were actually rather jagged and spiked, a gene defect. He seemed to have a strange accent too.
    He sighed softly and reached his hands behind his back, undoing the braid and letting his hair fall in front of his face.
    "Alucard Jyeravas.. You are just a standard Satyr.. Nothing else.." he said to himself, shrugging. He then remembered what he was here for; create an encyclopedia of various plants.. Where he came from, he was a well-known Troubadour.. but more better known for the books he published.
    He plucked a few of the fungi he found along the way to the Faydwer and put them in his pack. He'd study them later. Alucard found himself reminiscing about when he spent his first 8 years in Faydark as a young fawn. He shook himself from his reverie and noticed he was walking right in the direction of where a confrontation was! He saw an iksar two Ratongas.. and several Winged Ones.
    "My better judgement tells me to help.. But the last scrape I was in nearly cost me my life." he said with a sigh, looking to his arm where there was a long gash from a werewolf, still healing.
    Instead he just sat down from a safe distance, close enough to see everything clearly, but far enough to keep from becoming butchered. He pulled out one mostly empty book and started writing in it, looking up occasionally so he wouldn't miss any battle action
    ((Tssalizzera now convinced me to take her outta the story! She was meant to be a temporary addition anyway. In her place comes a more permanent character. Alucard Jyeravas, the wizard Satyr! Hope you don't mind that he's a Satyr :3 ))
    "Perhaps it is too light since you've been given it almost half a dozen times." Ross said. She turned as she heard the noise and hurried to the bars. She had seen many prisoners feign illness in an attempt to escape so she stayed on guard. "What is wrong?"
    Nerry looked from the captain to his brother, still standing in the open door of the cell. He knew he could run past his brother, but was unsure of the Barbarian who came down the stairs to stand with the captain by the Freeblood's cell.
    ***
    Ginner averted his eyes and spun around when Alyerra's shirt was raised. He paused as he heard her whisper, but was unsure if he could turn around yet. "Wha' der yer mean by tha'?"
    ***
    Grumblefoot stood with Llew's help. He tried to hide it, but he leaned into her as they walked. Llew did not protest, even though her leg still stung her. "Thank you." Llew bowed her head as they passed the orc.
    ***
    "Maybes. The tracks for the bard is fine, no hesitations in walks and nothing to indicates he noticed. Only the bard...er...the grumpy bard's tracks are funnies. Arasai lefts no tracks, so I's cant's says abouts hims." Rothgut watched as Charlemin inched to the end of the tunnel. He glanced around.
    "It looks clear..." He whispered. "Wait, there's a guard patrolling nearby." He adjusted his cloak again to hide the crest of the Qeynos Guard and made sure his visor was down.
    ***
    Aleteriq rubbed his eyes and Pepin stood up to check on him. He had not slept but a few moments. "Is something wrong?"
    "M-my stomach hurts."
    "Perhaps the tea will help."
    the boy looked up. "Tea?"
    "Your Grandfather went to go get you some." He adjusted the blankets over the boy as a light knock came at the door.
    ***
    Aloysiius returned the girl's smile. "Now then, this story I learned from a Satyr of the Fugutr Tribe of the Lesser Faydark as I traveled through last Stargazing. The winds howled through fungi as large as trees and the rain swept across the land in such fury that the road before me began to wash out and I was forced to take shelter until the rain cleared and the road ahead became safe again. I found some small shelter under a great mushroom and discovered that I was not the only traveler to choose that spot there. One of the Fugutr tribesmen had been caught in the torrent and in the rain we traded stories as we waited. This is the story that I learned from him." He cleared his throat and paused for effect.
    ***
    Nordri nodded. "Aye, thank yer." He took a deep breath.
    ***
    Isatis scowled at the Iskar. "If she really is ill, take her to the Priests. They know how to handle this sort of thing."
    Telsi blinked at the unexpected question "Do you really care?" she asked suspiciously before she could get an answer she collapsed entirely with her eyes closed. Only her chest moved as she breathed shallowly.
    ~~~~~
    Senriala remained asleep, her medication having made her drowsy. She heard nothing and did not stir.
    "I don't know," Alyerra answered. She closed her eyes and collapsed.
    ~~~~
    Tim frowned "Let's not play a game of my mistakes are bigger than yours."
    Carl nodded. "Think the two of you can carry me upstairs?" he blushed a red almost to match his hair.
    Tim nodded "Maybe." he analyzed his brother "Perhaps if Rotwhisker can carry you under the arms, I can grab your legs."
    Carl nodded "Fine and we tell no one."
    "The chair is almost ready."
    "Good, in the meantime I'd rather not stay down here and it would take me ages to drag myself." Carl sighed.
    ~~~~~
    "You're welcome," Stareye answered.
    "Sam aren't you coming?" Zach asked as he turned to leave and noticed Sam was not following.
    Sam shook his head.
    "Do not worry, Silentfire will remain in touch."
    Sam nodded.
    Zach sighed and he and Ethan followed the dwarf and half-elf.
    Stareye sighed and her hand glowed blue "Hope this helps Vision-maker," she said as she directed the healing light towards Llew's leg.
    ~~~~~
    Kyriu nodded as she relaxed. "What about the little one?" she asked remembering the tiny Ratonga they had been escorting home.
    ~~~~~~
    The children listened carefully. "What's a satyr?" Limberger asked.
    Fayberry smiled as she answered "It's someone who's half man and half goat."
    The boys gaped at their sister before turning back to the bard intently watching and listening.
    ~~~~~
    Sivraj nodded. "You should probably rest. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm sure rest will help."
    ~~~~~
    "The young lady is right. This poor young woman needs the aid of a priest." Lord Henris said.
    Brienae turned to Stinsia "We can help you and we will. There are ways to help you and allow you to be yourself."
    ((Y'all can move the Freebloods however you want. I'll explain what happened when I return.))

    Zulgahr smirked
    "Ah.. really just too lazy to do it.." he admitted with a shrug, sighing.
    Over the next few seconds, the pain of his injuries finally got to him as his eyes closed and he groaned, falling to the ground unconscious.
    Lamia muttered and nodded to Henris
    "Indeed she does.." she agreed with his statement. Stinsmia growled and frowned
    "Keep those priests away! T-T-They can't help me! No one can!" she screamed, slowly breaking away chips and pieces of the roots around her.
    "Not even the so-calle-.. so-call.. ahh.." she began to say, her eyes fluttering before she finally fell asleep. Then came a heavy, creepy silence, from which a soft tenor voice echoed. The Satyr troubadour had decided to help, leaving his book on the ground.

    "Sleep.. You need rest.." he whispered softly, backing his song with some magic to add some power to the Lullaby. And apparently it worked. He stepped forward to look Stinsmia over before turning to the group.

    "That should keep her resting for a little while.. I suggest you get her to the priests as soon as possible." he said, before picking his book back up, slipping it in his pack. The Satyr turned and started walking away, his hooves clicking against the ground.

    =========================

    Shiasia sighed and frowned. She strapped her son to her back and did her best to pick Alyerra up, eventually dragging her to her bed, easing her up, putting the blankets over her.

    She slid a chair over and decided to keep close watch on the Freeblood.

    "Please be okay Miss Alyerras.." she whispered

    =========================

    Rotwhisker nodded slowly.

    "S-Sorrys. And yes.. I's cans gets unders the arms" he said quickly, already slipping under Carl and supporting his upper body with his own.

    "Up ye go lad!" he said semi-cheerfully.

    =========================

    Vhyrenia was just entering the Guardhouse to turn in the criminal as Telsi collapsed. She did not hear the thump however, and just proceeded as usual, handing the criminal over to the guards, then receiving her payment

    She smirked slightly and looked to Shane, her finger against his chin a moment before pulling away

    "It's a shame you had to go bad.. When I was single I had my eyes on you.." she teased. Shane merely blinked with a look of defeat. He yowled in anger that he had managed to be caught before finally being shut into a cell.

    "That should do it.." the female said, wiping her hands and then starting to leave the Guardhouse.

    Ross hesitated and then opened the cell. She checked for a pulse and cursed. On instinct she let holy light gather in her palm and was about to apply it to the Freeblood's chest, but Herrigan called out.
    "We can't use holy magic on her!"
    The Captain's hand pulled back sharply, letting the divine light fade. "Perhaps she did not get enough to eat...?"
    "Don't they go into a frenzy when that happens?" Brique asked.
    "I'm not sure..." She bit her lip. The new regulations concerning Freebloods were still being debated among the higher-ups of the Guard and no one had recieved any training on how to treat them. She tried to remember if any of the new recruits were Freebloods or not.
    Nerry pursed his lips, seeing a good escape route, but he was only here for such a minor thing. But then again it was such a rare oppurtunity and it would be such a shame to waste it. He grinned and sprinted forward, slamming the cell door shut as he passed the captain and lieutenant. "FOR BRISTLEBANE!" He was confused to find that his brother, usually a coward in situations, was blocking his path to the stairs.
    Ross swore loudly and brought her keys out, reaching around the bars to unlock the door as Nerry struggled to get past his brother.
    ***
    Ginnar frowned and turned around, finding that both women were gone. He scratched his beard, unsure if he should persue the issue. He decided that it must have been a feminine issue and that the ladies needed privacy to discuss it. The old Dwarf leaned back on is bedroll.
    ***
    Llew paused as a warmth spread across her leg. She nodded her head in silent thanks to the orc and glanced around before continuing.
    "Ay need ter git ter th' Guil' 'All, Ay think. There's some research Ay wan' ter do on tha' 'ammer before we confron' it again."
    "Do you want to use your Call spell?"
    "Nay, Ay wan' ter check on th' boy firs' an' then Ay'll go back ter Qeynos."
    ***
    Rothgut paused. "Her footsteps is under the human's. She led hims and did nots turn or anythings."
    Charlemin stepped out of the tunnel as the patrolling guard went around a corner. "Let's go."
    Dnalore made sure that his staff was within easy reach while Bella put her spell out.
    ***
    Pepin stood and opened the door. On the bed Aleteriq wimpered, his eyes going wide again as Alaric stepped in. Rene followed and the boy slid off the bed, running to the woman and wrapping his arms around her waist. The woman stumbled and the tea tray clattered, but Pepin took it from her and set it on the nightstand.
    Aleteriq sobbed. "I-I m-m-missed you, Mama."
    ***
    Aloysiius smiled and began the story as the Satyr had told it to him. "We are the children of Tunare and in her name we protect and tend to the forests and life that she loves so well. And so it was that when she left Norrath we felt it deeply within ourselves and despaired. Some of our brethern cound not cope with the loss of our Mother and fell into madness, forgetting the forests and its denizens still in our care."
    ***
    Nordri nodded. "Aye, thank yer." He sat back on the bed and laid back, falling asleep quickly.
    ***
    Isatis shook her head. Such a strange night. She looked at the guards. "If you can take him to the guardhouse, I think we can get her to the temple."

    Lamia glanced at the Satyr with a bewildered look. Alucard had turned just in time to see said look and he merely gave a chuckle and winked at the Ratonga. And he winked at Isatis.
    He looked away and muttered to himself, thinking of possible songs to come up with to enlarge his repertoire. He could think of none at the moment, but within a few hours he probably could with some inspiration.
    Stinsmia coughed a few times as she slept, still suspended by the roots. Zulgahr was knocked out and inanimate.
    ======================
    Vhyrenia's ears perked at hearing the shouts. Hesitating because of the bit of scolding she received earlier, she stepped down the stairs and frowned
    "Telsi is ill.. " she said to herself
    She looked to Ross
    "With your permission, Captain Ross, I would like to take the girl home with me so me and my husband can keep an eye on her, and possibly help her." she said
    ((lol my posts seem so short compared to my usual xD))
  11. ARCHIVED-llewenayah Guest

    Ross sighed as she managed to unlock the cell. Herrigan shot out and seperated the fighting halflings.
    "Prisoners are not to leave the guardhouse unless thier medical condition threatens the other prisoners or the Guards. You and your husmabnd may take care of her here since I see no other option."
    "Uh...Captain? I've got a problem here." Herrigan turned, holding one halfling in each hand. Ross frowned at seeing that they looked exactly alike now from the Qeynos Guard issued armor to the round, freckled faces. The Captain bit her lip to keep from yelling an epithet. "You've gotten better at Illusions, Nerry." She said in a strained voice.
    ***
    Rene put a hald on top of the boy's head. "Such a fever." She said, kneeling down to get a look at him.
    Pepin looked up sharply from the tea tray. "His fever is back?"
    Aleteriq looked up and backed out of the woman's arms. "I-I'm s-sorry. I thought-I'm s-sorry."
  12. ARCHIVED-Squeakybrigand Guest

    Vhyrenia frowned.
    "That's the thing, her "condition" as you call it does threaten the life of others.." she said coldly. At the next words, she sighed and nodded
    "Well, not exactly the answer I was hoping for, but it's a compromise, and that's good enough for me.." she said
    She started heading back upstairs "Keep her in check, I'll be back with my husband.."
    ((nothing else to post since Bri's gone to anni. )
  13. ARCHIVED-llewenayah Guest

    "Yes, her lying on the floor not breathing or responding is very dangerous to the other prisoners." Ross said before shutting the door to the cell, just in case.
    "C-Captain?" One of the Briques asked. Ross turned back. She strode over and frowned at each of them.
    "Can you tell, Herrigan?" She asked.
    "No, Ma'am. I didn't even notice the casting until I pulled the two apart."
    ***
    "I am Frene'Eleve Bindweed." She said gently, kneeling down. The boy had Ain'Mur's eyes and nose. The chin was a little more pinched and the cheeks a bit more gaunt than she would think a child should have, but she had no doubt about whose son he was.
    The boy bit his lip, examining the Koada'dal man until he was satisfied that it was not Muspel who stood there. "I-I'm Aleteriq R-Redmantle." He said quietly.
    Rene frowned. The boy did not look like he was half-human, but he carried the human's name.
  14. ARCHIVED-Squeakybrigand Guest

    Vhyrenia blinked and frowned.
    "Cynical little.." she muttered to herself. The kerra then headed over to Lucie Street, grabbed her husband Vaska, and came back to the guardhouse
    "No one is in trouble! Sheesh!" she said with a roll of her eyes. Vaska and her went down the stairs. She looked to Ross and smiled. "This is my husband, Vaska." she introduced him
    Vaska merely nodded and smiled "Nice to meet the captain of the guards who so greatly protect this city." he said cheerfully. He and the kerra opened the cell door slowly and stepped inside.
    Vaska laid out a bedroll, settling the younger Freeblood down on it, straightening her position.
    "By Marr I hope this girl is okay.." he whispered
  15. ARCHIVED-llewenayah Guest

    Ross decided to let the Kerra's comments slide, having more pressing matters than a smart mouth.
    While the Kerra went to get her husband Ross examined the two Briques. She prayed to Mithaniel Marr for the sight to see past the deception and her prayer was answered as the Brique on the right began to flicker. She pointed to him. "Put Nerry back in the cell, please. And put him down for jail time instead of community service for attempting to escape."
    Herrigan gently put down the real Private Brique, whose face was red as he straightened out his tabard. "I-I'm sorry about that, Captain."
    "Pay it no heed. I should have been more vigilant myself."
    "Jail time? What happened to the community service?" Nerry asked as the door shut.
    The Captain ignored his question as the Kerra came back. "Tell me if you need anything for her." She folded her arms across her chest and frowned at the door. "How do you open the cells like that?" She asked. "I locked it and the key is right here."
    ***
    Rene looked up at Pepin. "Are you Danlore?"
    "No, Ma'am. I am Pepin Grayhaze of Nettleville, a friend of Danlore and Llewenayah's." He bowed.
    "Welcome to our home." She replied, turning back to Aleteriq. It was late and she knew the child should be sleeping, but she had so many questions. "Where are Llewenayah and Danlore?"
    "They were both called away by duty and Aleteriq was left in my care." Pepin said before Alaric could answer. The Koada'dal closed his mouth.

    Simon was glad that the mysterious Dark-Elf had shown up. He did not quite trust the man, but at least he had enough strength to carry the Freeblood Paladin all be it more dragging, but it was better than what the teenage boy could do. "The temple is this way," he said.
    "I told you they can't help him." Calish sighed.
    Simon turned to him and frowned.
    "Look some where I can set him down. I'm not sure what happened but it's not the thirst," Calish continued "And he is rather heavy. I have half a mind to take off his armor."
    Simon narrowed his eyes "The Guard house is this way.
    Calish rollled his eyes "Wonderful just where I want to go... I'm not exactly legal yet." he sighed "lead the way"
    Simon opened the door into the guard house and held it open for the Dark-elf.
    No sooner were they inside and Calish released the Paladin against a wall. He then turned to leave.
    "You can't just leave," Simon growled at him.
    "Oh yes I can, I don't see any guards around."
    "Fine, but I'll tell them you're here they'll track you down."
    "You said you were a Paladin Squire?"
    Simon nodded.
    Calish sighed as he ran a hand through his turquoise hair. "Fine I'll stay, but I do plan on doing this the right way.
    Simon nodded "Stay here,"
    "Oh Aye aye sir," Calish muttered. "What have I been reduced to ?" he wondered "Taking orders from a child.
    Downstairs Telsi opened her eyes as her hair turned from gold to white. She hissed.
    Simon walked downstairs in time to hear the hiss. He stopped. He didn't scream but he remained frozen at the bottom of the stairs. He wondered if he had been noticed. A part of him hoped he had at least by the guards, but he prayed he had not by the ravenous Freeblood.
    ~~~~~
    Alyerra blinked and took several deep breaths. She sat up and rubbed her head. "How did I end up in Mom's room?" she asked.
    ~~~~~
    "Never call me Lad again and we might be friends," Carl growled as he watched Tim pick up his legs. He didn't say anything, but he hated feeling like he was so much trouble. He hated even more the helplessness he felt.
    Tim nodded when he held Carl's legs securely "The first room. At the top of the ramp." he said to Rotwhisker

    "I will be doing my own..." Stareye paused "Research." she smiled "May not like the Blue Tuskless, but they have good book place in keep."
    Sam spoke through the stone again to Llew "Could I keep this?" he had his meditation technique but this stone required much less energy and effort.
    ~~~~~
    Kyriu sighed and frowned.
    "You can put me down Cub," Tetri whispered "Sorry... I,"
    Kyriu smiled as she let the old Ratonga to her feet.
    Tetri smiled at the Half-Elf "Where are the other cubs?" she asked as she cleared sleep from her eye.
    ~~~~~
    Fayberry sat up listening more intently.
    "They sound like sissies," Limberger said.
    "Yeah," his brothers agreed.
    ~~~~~
    Sivraj watched the Dwarf fall asleep and walked to his own room which was just next door. He would hear if anything came up.
    ~~~~~
    Brienae watched the Satyr and blinked. She wondered why her own Lullaby had not worked. She sighed .
    The gaurds nodded and leaving the chains around the Iksar they started dragging him. "Er perhaps we should send for one of the elven guard...."
    Brienae sighed again "I'll find some of them." she closed her eyes and prayed to Xegony. She shrank and flew up and vanished into the canopy. She returned a few minutes later flying lower and followed by a High-Elf and a Wood Elf. The Wood-elf lifted the Iksar while the High-Elf grudgingly picked up the sleeping Ratonga.
    Henris blinked as his daughter returned to normal size "Brienae... you can fly?"
    ((Hi y'all just got back today. The trip was wonderful.
    A minor note: Gregor was a member of the Qeynos gaurd. He was a Lieutenant. He mysteriously vanished a little over a year ago with his squire Simon. There were many rumors as to what happened but no one really knew. It is possible even though it has been a year that Simon might be recognized or Gregor when they see him. Like most Gregor would have gone by his surname Delmion. Simon being Squire Smith most likely.))

    The pain from the wound from the Iksar's dagger stung. Lamia coughed a few times, and fell to her knees, clutching her side. "Darn lizard.." she muttered.
    Zulgahr groaned in his unconsciousness. He managed to open his eyes briefly and say rather darkly
    "I'll be back for you.. You little rat..!" he spat out the word 'rat' as he slipped back into knock-out. Stinsmia was picked up with ease, being rather light and asleep. As well as ridiculously limp.
    Alucard smiled slightly as everything seemed to be working out. He then left the scene.

    Shiasia was cradling her baby slowly when Alyerra had woken up. She looked up and sighed with relief.
    "Thanks Quelliouses yous is awakes!" she said.
    "As fors hows yous gots heres. Yous collapseds and blacks outs earliers, ands I's broughts yous heres. I couldn'ts leaves yous just on the floor now could I?" she asked.
    She left the room for a moment and then came back. "By the ways, yous Mommas is asleeps, sos I's suggests yous nots wakes hers up.." she whispered.
    She appeared confused. "Waits this is yous mother's rooms? I's thoughts.. I's thoughts this was yous rooms!" she exclaimed

    Rotwhisker blinked and gave a slight frown
    "Aw was just tryin' to cheer ya up!" he said with a chuckle. He nodded to Tim, hoisting Carl's arms again and slowly making his way up the stairs.
    "Just a few more.." he said as he continued up.
    ===============
    Vhyrenia sighed. "Thank go-" Her relief was however shortlived as Telsi let out a hiss. She looked to her left to see a boy coming down the stairs.
    "It's okay. We've got this under control.." she said calmly.
    She looked to Vaska and gave him a nod.
    "You think that's a good idea? I mean she's in her Inner Demon form and-"
    "I know what I'm doing!" she snapped. She took her dagger, and made a somewhat thin cut in her arm, leaning it over to the feral Freeblood, thinking that she was merely hungry
    ((Glad the trip turned out good :) ))

    Brique jumped back, knocking into the boy as the Freeblood hissed. Ross stood by the door to the cell, drawing her sword. "I hope that isn't the full extent of your plan!" She said, watching the blood drip down to the floor.
    Herrigan turned at the hissing sound and paused, seeing someone on the stairs. He squinted. "Smith?"
    ***
    Llew nodded. "It is the least I can do to repay you. If you ever need another one or more, send me a letter. My brother makes them."
    ***
    "We're on the way to get them now. They took Fayberry home." Danlore said as Charlemin stepped out of the tunnel warily.
    The other Cragmures followed into the street as Rothgut kept his eyes down. "Looks likes theys wents-"
    "Halt!" They jumped and spun around to see another guard. "There are traitors loose in the city and a curfew has been called to this neighborhood! Get home, rats!" The guard advanced on them and his eyes narrowed. "What are your names, citizens?" He hissed.
    Rothgut scanned the street and approched the guard. He held his paw out to shake hands, a slight glint of metal could be seen in his palm. "I's is called Plats Nim." He said quietly.
    ***
    "I-is she back?" Aleteriq asked at hearing his sister's name. He rubbed his eye with a balled fist. Rene smoothed his hair.
    "No. But you are safe here and should sleep. You look so tired." she picked him up and Pepin was glad to see that the boy did not protest. While she tucked him back into bed again Alaric took Pepin by the elbow and began to lead him out of the room.
    "I have some questions for you." The Koada'dal whispered.
    "I really shouldn't, sir. I gave my word to keep an eye on-"
    "Yes, I saw what a good job you were doing keeping both eyes on him while you slept."
    Pepin frowned and twisted his arm out of the man's grasp, but kept following him down the ramp.
    ***
    Hoddmimir scoffed. He was beginning to remember why he did not particularly like children. "Are you whelps saying that you wouldn't mind loosing your own mother?"
    Aloysiius spun around. He had forgotten that Hoddmimir was there. "Are you trying to get us into trouble?"
    The Arasai winked. "It'd be rather dull around you if I wasn't."
    ***
    Isatis was impressed. "Where did you learn to do that?" She turned as she heard coughing and knelt by the Ratonga. "Oh! I think he had poison on those blades!" She held her hands out and began a healing spell.
    ((Welcome back! Glad to hear you had a good time. :)
    Ross has been a Captain for a few years now, so I think she would have meet them. Herrigan hasn't had his rank for very long, but he had been following Ross in one way or another since they met.))

    Telsi bit into the offered arm and drank more like a ravenous beast. The only thought in her mind was blood and feeding. Right now it was the only thing she remembered from her dream and it was the only thing that mattered.
    Simon made no response to his name. He also seemed not to notice the Halfling who bumped into him. His eyes were focused on the scene before him.
    Gregor opened his eyes and looked around. The smell of blood filled his nostrils. He sighed as he stood. He was glad to be back in the guardhouse, home.
    "I see you're awake," Calish said.
    Gregor raised an eyebrow.
    "Calish Matriel," the Dark-Elf said to the silent question
    Gregor nodded as he looked around for Simon.
    "The boy went downstairs to get help for you,"
    Gregor dashed downstairs. He touched the boy's shoulder and whispered "Pray to Marr,"
    Simon swallowed and whispered a prayer. He took deep breaths before turning look at Gregor. He had envisioned himself elsewhere back at that place. As he looked at his mentor and saw truth he swallowed "You could be arrested for Desertion," he whispered.
    Gregor swallowed as that thought had not occurred to him. "That is a possibility," he answered "Go back upstairs.
    Simon nodded and dashed back upstairs as far away from the the Freeblood as he could get.
    Gregor continued downstairs. His emotions with the scent of blood threatened to overwhelm him. He looked at Herrigan now a Lieutenant and Captain Ross. He said nothing. He was unsure what to say. He wondered if he still had his rank after a year of being absent with no word. He was confident that Captain Ross would be willing to listen to his story. Beyond that he knew the penalty for desertion was loss of rank, Imprisonment or both.

    Alyerra nodded "It's alright. Mom went to sleep in my room so you could have her room." she pointed to the crib. "I'll try to make one sized better for the little guy. There's a seat by the window in my room that is big enough to lay on. I'll sleep there." she sighed as she got up. Truth be told she didn't need to sleep, but something told her she needed to talk to someone about her dream, someone who understood the mind. "For tonight this is your room." she laughed.
    ~~~~~
    Carl said nothing further as he was carried up the ramp. Once or twice Tim dropped his legs which made him grateful that he could not feel them as he was sure his feet were rather bruised.
    Tim was blushing from embarrassment at the frequent fumbles.
    ~~~~~~
    Sam nodded "Thank you," he said through the stone "I'll be in touch."
    Zach sighed "We might be placing an order for some of those stones."
    Sam smiled and moved his hands in signals.
    Stareye smiled "He says you could learn sign language,"
    Zach and Ethan both blushed in shame as the orc translated. "We should go" Zach said
    Ethan looked from Sam to Stareye and then to Grumblefoot "Unless he could be be healed." he said.
    Sam shook his head.
    "Injury too old," Stareye explained.
    "Maybe for one healer but maybe two?" Ethan continued as he looked again between the healers.
    Sam turned his back.
    ~~~~~
    Tetri turned "Traders you said? " she turned as though confused. "Why should we be concerned about traders?" she caught Kyriu's eyes and then turned to eye to Rothgut.
    Kyriu struggled not to smile. The old Rat was feigning senility. "Um Plat sir, now that we've found your mother, I think it would be a good idea to get her to bed especially if there are dangerous people on the streets." she hoped that Tetri's lack of accent wouldn't be a problem.
    ~~~~~~~
    Limberger scoffed "Daddys wills protects hers. He's the strongests shadowknights ins the worlds.
    Fayberry blinked "D-dids theys finds hers?" she asked wanting the story to continue.
    ~~~~~
    Brienae blushed. It had been the fastest way and she had not thought about it. "Well there was a Fae doing research on flight and I helped him out a little... and in the process I assisted Xegony who allows the Gryphons to fly. It's not really anything I'm doing... I have to pray to Xegony first."
    Henris blinked his orange eyes. He turned back to Isatis "Can you heal her?" he asked. He would find out more about his daughter's exploits later.
    The guard carrying the sleeping Ratonga stopped "Perhaps we should take both of them to the Temple of Growth?"
    The High-Elf kept walking towards the Kelethin Guardhouse.
    Lamia coughed a few more times and her hand went to her throat.. She was gasping for air as the poison took hold. Though the healing that Isatis was doing was fixing it a bit. Her breathing calmed, but it was a little raggedy. She was also surprised that Brienae was able to fly.
    Stinsmia groaned and shifted around. Her claws tightened on the High Elf. Unintentionally, as she was dreaming. And muttering incoherently.
    "Lizard.. Master Zulgahr.. Mrrfff.." she mumbled
    Shiasia nodded hesitantly. She looked down at the cradle.
    "Thanks yous." she said quietly.
    She nodded again. She looked at Alyerra with furrowed brows
    "Uhms.. Is somethings on yous minds? Yous cans tells mes if yous likes." she whispered to him
    Rotwhisker blinked as Tim dropped the other human's legs down several times. He chuckled weakly
    "Don't worrys Tims.. Withs enoughs trainings I's sures yous wills be ables to lifts anythings easilys." he said with a smile
    The kerra winced and grunted softly as the Freeblood easily punctured into her arm. She looked to the Captain
    "This was my plan Captain." she responded softly, letting the Freeblood drink as much as she needed. Her body was already becoming slightly weak and shaky. But she was helping someone. That was all that mattered to her.
    She was very careful to not unlatch the Freeblood, and moved slightly and ended up sitting down. Next to the girl.
    She yawned softly. "Hungry aren't ya?" she asked the Freeblood wryly, sighing.
