    Ross looked down. She glanced from Ziqua to the cub, with a slight look of confusion.
    Sylvie examined the Gnome, ignoring Nerry. “The girl you used in your experiments is very ill and we don’t know whether or not to trust you to help.”
    In the women’s barracks the Dwarven mother's eyes slid open. Adeline was next to her in the bed, between herself and the wall so that she didn’t roll off in her sleep. The little girl had her arms around her mother’s shoulders and still slept deeply. Embla looked up at the window and wondered what time it was. By the angle of the light they must have slept in late.

    “Hrm…I’s wills haves to asks hers thens.” She looked down at her belt where an empty loop hung. “I’s wills haves to gets a new wands though. Mines brokes all to pieces during a battles in Qeynoses.” She checked the turnovers again and found them a satisfactory shade of golden brown. She began to take them out. “Oh, noes. I’s thinks you’s may has to train as a Swashy-buckle.” She said over her shoulder, putting the hot turnovers on the counter.
    “The night fell and crept on. One by one the townsfolk got tired of watching from their windows and slipped off to bed, but the son and the cat stayed where they were. The night was still and dark, for Luclin was still veiled in those long-ago days and Drinial gave little light as a silver sliver in the sky. The son saw nothing but as the night waned the cat’s tail began to sway and her whiskers began to twitch and so he knew that she was seeing what he could not and that the creatures had come in the darkness.”

    Aleteriq tried to return the wink, but could not get the motion correct and only managed to squint his eyes shut.
    Llew giggled. “Ah, I will just have to take Al, then.” Moonwrath raised one eyebrow, not understanding the in-jokes. Aleteriq began to make another joke, but was unsure of calling his Grandfather by a nickname and instead stood silently trying to think of what to say. He was saved from the awkwardness by Llew, who smoothed his hair again and looked around. “Where is your cloak, Al? I’d like you to bring it.”
    “I think it is in the room, still.” Rene said. “I will go get it, you lot start through the portal.” She turned and disappeared up the ramp.
    Charlemin nodded and went through first, followed by Pepin and Toska. The mages began to file through behind Moonwrath.
    ***
    Charlemin found himself at the Druid rings and quickly scanned the area for threats, his paw on his sword’s hilt. Finding nothing out of the ordinary, he stepped towards the edge of the ring and continued his vigilant scanning while the others came through. Pepin scanned the other side of the ring in a likewise fashion as the mages materialized.
    ***
    Rainer’s eyes went wide as he understood. “Oh!” He chewed his lip and looked around. “Well, I dunno about the rats. I mean, they carry an awful lot of diseases.” He looked back at Xia. “Or does that matter?”
    ***
    Herrigan shook his head at the empty spot where the Arasai had stood. “The cost of working for Neriak andFreeportis measured in more than just coin.”
    ***
    Ginnar nodded. “Ay’ll call Norry an’ Grumpy over, then, if’n yer dun mind. We’ll see if th’ three o’ us kin ‘elp together where ‘un o’ us kin’t, eh?” He reached into his pocket and began to rummage. He did not find what he was looking for and began to check his other pockets, of which there were many.

    “You'll need to translate,” Maheera reminded Ziqua “I promise I won't hurt anyone.... unless they try to hurt us.”
    “Sh-she says she prrromises she won't hurrrt anyone.” Ziqua translated. She swallowed “U-unless they trrry to hurt us.”
    The tiger cub took a step back and roared. She was embarrassed by the small sound that came out which sounded more like a house cat than a tiger.
    The Gnome's face paled “Ill? But she's a werewolf they can't get ill... unless well it is a disease that makes them what they are, but...” he started pacing as he muttered “How can she? If it's true then she could...” he stopped pacing and his eyes focused on the human “If she dies they'll blame me...” he squeaked. Vonhelix swallowed “I might have gone a touch too far in my experiments...” he fell to his knees “Oh please let me help her... I don't want to be charged with murder!”
    ~~~~
    Zach nodded. He turned “Oh sorry Jystitches. We should be leaving shortly.” he sighed “That's still not right is it?”
    Canty sighed “I guess I coulds dos thats... do yous knows anyones thats could teach mes?”
    The children were now quiet as they listened intently to the story.
    “I knows mints is goods fors stomachs.” Calarys said as she reached into a pouch and pulled out two mint leaves and handed to the other Ratonga woman. “Chews these theys shoulds helps.”
    “Do yous minds?” Colby snapped “Wes is havings a verys serious discussions!”
    ~~~~~
    Kyriu started to go after the Paladins but found herself cut off by the mages. She darted in front of one of them and vanished through the portal.”
    “I guess I should go next.... after them.” Alyerra sighed.
    Senriala looked at the portal. It had been years since she had traveled via a portal. She tried not to let her nerves show.
    ~~~~
    Kyriu appeared in the Druid ring. She appeared a little queasy as she took out her staff. She looked around and noted where the Paladins were. She took a step towards one of the edges that the paladins did not have covered.
    Lazzera sighed “Actually we were waiting on someone.” she nodded towards the druid ring. “Looks like they're arriving.” she grinned exposing her fangs “So are you ready to take your first step towards healing Lamia?”
    “I see,” Kelauriel answered. A speckled hawk dived from the sky and hovered next to the Fae's wing. Kelauriel sighed “I can't seem to get rid of this bird! He seems to think my surname should be taken literally.”
    ~~~~
    Relane nodded “If you would like we can go shopping now. I believe you need some new clothes too.” she hugged her new daughter. “We'll have a girls' day out.” she laughed.
    Galabrin picked up the papers “I hate to leave my ladies but I must turn these in and get back to work.” he he kissed Relane and hugged Shiasia. “I will see you ladies tonight.” he said before turning to leave.
    ~~~~
    “Hm” Xia bit her lip lightly in thought “I never thought of that, but I doubt it matters. I'm immune to most illnesses. I should be fine. Fish would be good too. Fish would b better but we don't have any yet. “I'd be willing to help fish later though.”
    ~~~~
    Brienae sighed “I know... my apologies you had to deal with her.” she rubbed her head “I wish I never had to but, due to that fowl Cristanos' torture of some of my relatives generations ago we're related... very distantly. If Tari was not such a fool only interested in coin she'd realize how high the cost is, but she has no sense. The only thing that matters to her is money.” she shook her head “I should probably be heading back as should y'all.”
    ~~~
    Carl rubbed his chin “I know you'd be heping Sam, but if y'all could heal my back as well I would be forever grateful. The Mystic said the injury was too old and something about messing with the spine, but surely enough healing power would all it to heal properly.
    Sam shook his head “The orcs didn't use a divine instrument on me” he said in the minds of the three men “I removed the shuriken from your back. It was blessed.”
    Carl blinked “What do you mean the shuriken was blessed?”
    Sam sighed as he offered the Dwarf his stone that Llew had given him.
    “Samuel... how is that possible?” Carl demanded. When he received no answer he looked at Ginnar “Since he won't answer me how could a shuriken be blessed?”
    Lamia glanced over at Lazera and sighed weakly, nodding softly. "Yeah, yeah I'm ready.." she grumbled. already knowing about what she was supposed to do. She looked off into the distance to see Kyriu. She swallowed in slight fear. She was afraid of what the woman would do to her in vengeance.
    Though she herself didn't know what exactly happened in the past, she did know her other personality did something involving Kyriu. She just barely gave a slightly friendly wave in the Fae's direction and then crossed her arms, looking away, forlorn a bit. She tapped her foot on the ground lightly.
    Shiasia took the mint leaves into her hand, however Colby's snappy and angry words towards her caused her ears to fold and caused her to instinctively cringe, dropping the leaves. "I-I'm s-sorry! P-Please don't hurt m-.." her flashback ended and tears leaked from her eyes.
    She leaned down and picked the leaves back up. She sniffled and frowned. "S-Senrialas left me in charge. And here's what I say.." she said, taking a breath. She pointed towards the doors, just about scowling at Colby. "If you two are to argue like this, and you, Colby.. If you are to have such a bad attitude, over... Over nothing! Then I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave until you have calmed down!" she said as stern as she could, her voice shaky but not faltering.
    She stared Colby dead in the eye. Her eyes showed no fear. They showed stalwart stubbornness. She was challenging him to defy her. "Calarys, if you like, you may stay. However Colby. Well.. Y-You just heard me! If you keep up such a bad attitude, you are going to need to leave!" she said calmly and yet sternly. She crossed her arms. She rocked her son slowly with one hand, putting the leaves into her mouth and starting to chew.
    A much older Ratonga stepped through the entrance, using a cane to keep himself on his legs. He spoke in Ratongan. "You better listen to this here young lady. She knows quite the way to stand her ground, I'd say!" he said. Shiasia turned and blinked. She recognized that voice. "Father..!? There's no way he.." she exclaimed, looking over at the Ratongan Elder.
    She walked over to the older Ratonga and hugged him, whimpering lightly. "Father.. How did you get here?! I thought.. I thought you were still sick back at home in Maj'Dul!" she gaped.
    "Hehe, well my dear, it doesn't take much for a Monk to recover from illness. Ah, it's good to see you again.." he said with a laugh in response. He looked down at his grandson. "Ah.. The Rhythm of Belaskas is strong in this child. I sense he will become a mighty bard.." he whispered. Shiasia by this time was crying on her father's shoulder, still so surprised and relieved... and glad that her father was still alive and okay. The Elderly 'tonga, named Kryvikki patted his daughter softly on the shoulder, hugging her.
    She pulled back a bit and put her hands on Kryvikki's face. "Fathers.. I's is so happys to sees yous! Hows has yous beens?" she asked softly. Kryvikki smiled. "Well.. As good as a Monk like myself can be!" he replied with a raspy laugh. His face shifted to a serious one. "Now.. Please tell me.. This isn't your child.. Is it? I do hope my little girl didn't have this baby without letting me know. You're just babysitting this one, aren't you dear?" he asked softly.
    Shiasia gulped nervously and began trembling anew. Tears leaked again and she started sobbing. "D-Daddys.. It wasn'ts my choices.. " she said weakly. Her Maj'Dulian accent returned, which had Ratongan fused with it (basically a Ratongan and Arabic accent put together). The two suddenly started speaking in the ancient language of Maj'Dulian (Arabic lol x3).
    Stinsmia nodded weakly. "Y-Yes m-mama.. I-I wouldn't mind that.." she said softly. She looked herself over. "U-Uhm.. M-Mama.. What would people think if they s-saw you w-walking around with a R-Ratonga child wearing just r-rags..?" she asked weakly.
    She stood up slowly and hugged her father back gently, not wanting to squeeze too hard. She then walked over to her mother and gently held onto her hand.
    Ssulvex continued munching on the deer hungrily. She ate continually until the animal was nothing more than bones. He licked his lips and sighed. He shifted to his Iksar form suddenly and then frowned. He pulled the hood over his head and started walking towards the Druid Rings.
    He turned his head towards Kyriu's direction and he waves his hand. "Hello, missss.." he hissed softly. He then sat down for a moment to rest. 10 minutes later he stood back up. He walked a little ways away and began summoning a skeleton, chanting some runes out of a spell tome he had. He meant no one harm. Though he just hoped the people at the Druid Rings wouldn't misinterpret his skeleton summoning as a threat. However he had no idea that there were Paladins were nearby.
    Once it was summoned, he casually betgan walking a little past the Druid Rings, headed to the mailbox near the gryphon station, skeleton following suit. The skeleton's bones clanked loudly as it walked.
    Jhyiskitches laughed lightly and shook his head. "No it's not. But don't worry about it Zach. You can just call me Stitches as a nickname." he replied with a smirk
    Vhyrenia woke up from her nap in the house and stretched. Still in her silken night gown, she groggily headed downstairs and looked through the kitchen. She pulled out a small cup and started brewing up some coffee in a nearby pot, heating it with some magic.
    A few minutes later she yawned and poured herself a cup, drinking quietly. She saw her husband collapsed on the couch nearby with a book on his chest. He snored quietly, but then woke up to smelling his wife. He smirked lightly and stretched too. He stood up and walked over to the kerra, wrapping his arms around her and smiling. "Good morning, dear.." she whispered to her husband.
    Ross could not help but to let a smile tug at the corner of her mouth. “I can assure you,” She said to Maheera. “That Ziqua’s safety will be of the highest priority to the Qeynos Guard. I will personally oversee her protection detail and would be honored for any help that you may provide in this endeavor.”
    Sylvie frowned. The Gnome’s reaction seemed a bit over the top to her, but she had not considered that the charges would be upped to murder if the girl died. “I do not trust you, but you are the only one who knows what could be wrong with her, so I want your word, your binding word, that there will not be any funny business. That you will do your utmost to help her. No escape attempts, no making her sicker or harming anyone else. I want your honest, binding word on this.” Sylvie was not a Paladin of Mithaniel Marr like her sister and brother, but she, like all of the Grayhaze children, was raised with a healthy respect for the values of the God of Valor.
    Bella began to place the turnovers on a plate. She glanced sideways at Stitches before answering the teenager’s question. “Llew’s cousin is a Swashy-bucklers, perhaps she’s cans teaches yous? She has a couple of ships ands owns homes in all the major cities for business purposes, so maybes whens she’s is ins Kelly-thins next you’s cans introduce yourselfs.” She turned, holding the plate of turnovers. “Okays, we’s has kepts thems waitings longs enoughs, yis? Lets go sees whos is hungeries.”
    Rene came back down the ramp with Aleteriq’s pale blue cloak in her hand. She watched the last mage step through and nodded to her husband. Alaric shook his head while Rene placed the cloak around her grandson’s shoulders. She adjusted it in the fashion of a doting mother. Aleteriq went to thank her, but his voice was so small that it seemed as though he simply mouthed the words. Llew thanked her out loud and nodded to Alyerra and her mother to go ahead. Alaric took Rene’s hand in his own.
    “Are you up for this?” He asked in a quiet voice.
    She nodded. “I am fine.”
    ***
    Charlemin’s eye caught movement and he tensed, but relaxed a little as he saw that it was only a hawk. He continued his scanning as the Koada’dal mages filed through. Moonwrath seemed unperturbed by the fighters’ tensed vigil and simply stood to one side to wait for everyone else. Toska looked at one of the yet un-introduced mages.
    “You’s is Conjurie too, yis?” She asked as they waited.
    The Koada’dal glanced down at her. “I am a Conjuror.” He said simply.
    Toska frowned and decided that awkward silence was better than forced conversation.
    Rainer’s smile returned. “Well, that’s good then! Plenty of fish on a ship.” The smile faded as quickly as it had appeared. “Wait, all our fish are preserved in salt though. I’m pretty sure they’re drained and gutted before then.”
    “I’m sure there are fishing poles on the ship.” Padparadisch said.
    “Yes, of course!” The Feir’dal said, brightening up again. Padparadisch frowned. He was beginning to think this man well named, his attitude brightening and dimming like a partially cloudy day.
    ***
    Herrigan nodded. “Aye, we should be getting back.” He glanced down at the bag of ashy remains. “I’ll get this to the Concordium for proper disposal and then…” He sighed. “Paperwork.”
    Norna shook her head. “A new report for every swing of the sword, eh?”
    The Lieutenant laughed. “Aye! That sounds a bit right! Bureaucracy.”
    ***
    “Well o’ course a sharon-kin kin be blessed! Yer kin bless almost anything, Gods willin’!” A deep, rough laugh rumbled from the Dwarf. “Ay once knew a Paladin who walked ‘round wit a blessed turnip. A turnip! Yer shoul’ see th’ looks on people’s faces ter see this grand lookin’ Paladin stroll in, bathed in holy light, stand over a sickly person an’ pull out a turnip ter ‘old over their head.” Tears rolled from his eyes as he laughed at the memory. “Good ol’ Hlatur. Shoul’ look ‘im up fer a drink.” He wiped his eyes. “Alrigh’ then, tha’s enough o’ that. Le’ me contact me brodders.” He pulled a speaking stone from his pocket and began to concentrate.
    The tiger cub nodded and returned to the young Kerra's side.
    “So now what happens?” Ziqua asked “D-do I have to go home with Uncle Tygarr and Aunt Speckle?”
    Vonhelix swallowed “Yes you have my word.” he had no such ideas normally but the idea of being charged with murder had scared him to the point of honesty.
    “Overs nothings!” Colby shouted “An exiles comes intos mys homes and uproots mys familys! Yous calls thats nothings!” he glared at his wife “I's hads enough. We's ares goings homes. Backs to Freeports.”
    “Nos” Calarys said stamping her foot “We's has a news homes nows. We's ares goings to Qeynos.”
    “I'ms stills heads of this familiys.” Colby continued “But fines if yous wants to stays heres fines!” he walked over to where his children were seated. “We's ares goings homes.” he announced.
    “Buts Daddys we's has a news homes nows,” Fayberry said.
    Colby scoffed “Stays withs yours mothers thens.”
    Limberger stood up “It's a dumbs storys anyways,”
    Colby smiled as he took his eldest son by the hand and walked towards the door.
    Calarys stood frozen in shock.
    Fayberry stood up and ran towards the kitchen as Bella was coming out with the turnovers. She pulled on the Illusionist Ratonga's robe “Yous can's makes peoples change theirs minds... don't lets Daddy's and Limby gos...” tears streamed down the tiny Ratonga's cheeks “Change his minds please...”
    Another of the boys stood up and joined his father.
    “Pleases...” Fayberry begged Bella “Makes Daddy stays...”
    ~~~~
    Alyerra nodded and walked through.
    Senri hesitated for a moment before following her daughter.
    Tetriemmy sighed “I believe just you four. The portal will close behind me so I have no choice but to go last.” she shook her head “Foolish Cub, I'd like to know who trained her.” she thought to herself remembering the young Ratonga straining to maintain a portal from the other side.
    ~~~
    Alyerra shivered as she appeared in the midst of the Greater Faydark druid ring. She tried to push the flash backs to the back of her mind.
    Senriala appeared right behind her daughter and sighed as she saw her shiver. “I know it is hard to forget the negative events we experience.” she stepped forward to allow others through “Anything similar causes you to remember and you feel the terror all over again.”
    Alyerra turned to her mother.
    “You have to keep fighting it. You have to remember those around you who are willing to help you fight.” Senriala continued.
    Kyriu blinked she thought she had seen an Iksar, but she was unsure. It seemed as though he was there but at the same time somewhere else.
    Lazzera approached Kyriu and urged Lamia to follow “We came to help.” she said.
    Kyriu raised an eyebrow at the Freeblood “Help with what?”
    “You're friend. We came to help in the ritual to remove the divine energy.” Lazzera explained.
    “If I may ask...” Kelauriel began as she glided to catch up with Lamia “What in Norrath is she talking about?”
    ~~~~
    “Hm, you do have a true point,” Relane stood and grabbed a piece of paper, some ink and a quill “I'm writing to one of the local tailors. She can come here and make you something but she'll need to know some things.” she smiled at her daughter “First what is your favorite color?”
    ~~~~~
    Xia smiled again “The salted won't work. It has to be fresh, but I do know how to use a fishing pole. The rats shouldn't be a problem. I don't think I can get sick unless it's by some sort of magic.”
    ~~~~~
    Brienae nodded “My apologies this did not go to plan.” she sighed as she touched the bush and vanished.
    Mazsra sighed “So I take it this means back to Qeynos?”
    ~~~~
    Sam put his speaking stone back in his pocket.
    “Jake would imbue his pants. Mesena imbued her staves.” Tim said “If I had to guess I would say that the shuriken was blessed with her last breath.”
    “Wonderful... so I can't be healed?” Carl groaned.
    Sam shook his head and signed “I'm not sure if I can be.”
    ~~~~
    Brienae reappeared in the crowded Druid ring of Greater Faydark. She darted around legs until she saw Toska "What is going on?" she asked the Ratonga conjuror "I've never seen the Druid Rings this crowded."

    Lamia reluctantly followed behind Lazera, sighing and crossing her arms. When she came close to Kyriu however, her body seemed to tense, lock up somehow. Her eyes glanced down at Kelauriel and shook her head.

    "Something between me, Lazera and the other fae. I'd prefer it if we just left it at that.." she said calmly, not wanting to sound rude. She dusted her long dress off and tightened the fastenings in it a bit, feeling it fall loose. She sneezed lightly. The Ratongan woman pulled out her earrings and put them back in her ears. She had taken them off several hours ago.

    "I forgot to put these things back on.." she muttered. She sniffed the air and smelled undead. "Anyone here smell something like.. Rotting bones? I mean undead, besides Lazera.." she asked.
    +++++++++++++++++++++
    Shiasia didn't even seem to acknowledge the shout. Her face became steeled in something rather angry. She growled softly. Her eyes, for one reason or another, seemed to look glazed over.

    "Think about what you're doing, Colby.. Trying to leave your own wife just over a pitiful disagreement? Over simply the fact that your aunt is alive? Huh.. And I admired you for your healthy love for family. Now I see it was all a ruse..". She put her son down in a high-chair nearby and her fists began to clench, her black fingernails digging into her palms, causing several drops of blood to slip from each hand. Something about her had changed.

    In a booth table just a couple of feet away was a man in a hood, seeming to stare right at her, whispering something as well as waving his fingers around. Seems he had her in either a trance.. Or he had charmed her. He reasserted his gaze elsewhere and stood up, walking over to where the Ratonga had left her child. He seemed to loom over it.

    Kryvikki was oblivious to his daughter's charming for just a brief second. He then sniffed the air and growled. He closed his eyes briefly. He shifted over to the entrance of the tavern and attempted to close it. "Sonny.. Normally I would agree with my little girl here but.." he began, looking at Colby. Then he scowled at the hooded man standing over his grandson. "Right now.. I don't exactly think she's.. herself."

    His daughter got in a pose, as if ready to charge at someone. "I suggest you do not respond to her words.. Or if you do.. Be very careful with your answer. She's been coerced, and judging by how her demeanor's changed.. The wrong words could tick her off.. If you wish to leave, you may. Though I would be indebted to you if you could help find a way to break the spell that's been cast on her.." he sighed weakly, not too keen on fighting his own daughter.

    "Oh? Is someone a little upset that I cast a small spell on the young woman? Oh, it won't do her any harm.. Just helps her be more.. stalwart.." the man said with a soft, deep chuckle. "Cute kid too.." he said darkly. He clenched his fists, giving a command to the woman he coerced.

    "My dear.. Come here would you?" he said. Shiasia stepped closer to the man who had coerced her.
    +++++++++++++++++++++
    Stinsmia's ears perked at the question and she thought for a second. "M-My favourite colour is white!" she said cheerfully. She twiddled her thumbs.
    +++++++++++++++++++++
    Ssulvex suddenly looked around him. "I could have ssssworn... I wasss in.. Greater Faydark.." he muttered, frowning. He shook the thought away and grumbled, heading back to the Druid Rings. He touched the bush and vanished. He appeared in Greater Faydark, with his skeleton.

    He sensed holy auras. Oh great.. Paladins.. Or templars.. He couldn't really tell. He quickly started to retreat from the Druid Rings, which caused him to lose concentration on his skeleton, dispelling it. His heart beat wildly, as he was slightly frightened as to what the strangers around here would do to him. He put his hand to his chest, breathing heavily, calming himself down before he transformed. He let out a gutteral growl, coming back to his senses.

    He greeted the people silently, with a wave. He pulled his hood off and turned to face where a deer was. His instincts got the better of him (as well as his hunger) and he suddenly transformed, racing towards the deer, aiming to bite and kill it.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++
    Jhyiskitches simply stood there, resolute. He was thinking..
    ++++++++++++++++++++++
    Vhyrenia yawned lightly and hugged her husband. She snuggled up against him and wrapped her tail around his waist. "I love you.. you evil bloodsucker.." she teased. Vaska laughed softly and squeezed the kerra closer. "I love you too, you naughty kerra-nip obsessed kitty.." he replied.

    Vhyrenia nuzzled the older man gently.

    (( I swear.. Goons seem to love getting their hands on my characters! o_O (i.e. Shiasia and the mystery coercer) ))

    “No.” Ross said quickly. “No. Until the trial is done you will be under the protection of the Guard.” She stood and got a form from a cabinet to one side and began to fill it out. “You will need a legal guardian assigned to you.” She glanced up. “Someone neutral. It can’t be a friend or relative of either your Aunt and Uncle or Ms. Mazsra.” She tapped her quill on the desk.
    Sylvie pursed her lips and tapped her foot. She glanced up the stairs. “Alright.” She slipped a ring of keys off of her belt and unlocked the door. “You will examine her from afar. Anything like temperature that you need will be checked by someone else. You will not lay a hand on her and you will instruct others on what to do. Any funny instructions and I’ll have you back here before you can say ‘wait’.” She took a set of manacles off of the wall. “Give me your hands.”
    Brique’s brother glanced at the Gnome. “Is there anything I can do?”
    “No.” Sylvie said quickly and firmly.
    ***
    Bella looked down at the little girl. “I’s coulds, buts that’s woulds be a gross misuse of my’s powers. Buts I’s cans talks, yis?” She said as gently as she could. She put the tray on the counter and took Fayberry’s hand, leading her into the other room with the intent on talking to the girl’s parents, but she frowned at seeing what looked like yet another attack in the Tavern. “Whats is goings ons outs heres?”
    Aloysiius stood, his story forgotten. “Unhand her, Coercer.” He said, more to alert Bella than anything. Bellacouste raised her free paw, flicking her fingers deftly to cast Bewilderment at the latest hooded Coercer.

    “Oh, five.” Danlore laughed from behind his grandparents. Llew picked Aleteriq up and carried him through the portal. Alaric and Rene stepped through together, still holding hands. “See you there.” Danlore nodded to Tetri as he slipped through.

    Llewenayah was a bit glad to see that so many had taken to the outer edge of the ring. She followed Alyerra and her mother to where they stood. Her brow furrowed as her grandparents materialized and began to walk over. “Exactly how do you know if that is what we are intending to do?” She asked, suspiciously.
    Toska turned. “Oh! Hellos, hellos, Miss. Brie!” She dropped her voice to a whisper. “We’s is havings somes more troubles with energies ands things ands is goings to goes perferms another rituals.” She glanced around. “Althoughs, I’s thinks some of these peoples is maybe just passings throughs.”
    The mage next to her nodded. “This does seem like more people than were at Alaric’s house.”

    Rainer nodded. “Alright. I can show you the way to the hold, if you’d like.”
    Asphodelus examined a map again and scanned the horizon with an eyeglass. “Alright, ye lot! ‘S gonna be a bit afore we’re to th’ huntin’ grounds, so feel free ter stand down. Essential personal are to stay at their stations and we’ll go in two hour shifts. The rest o’ yer not assigned ter a job get below deck and rest up.”
    ***
    Herrigan turned. “Aye. Back to Th’ Gray Lady with us.” He scanned the area one last time before following Norna back to the wagon. He helped her up into the seat before getting in and picking up the reins himself. He instructed the horses to turn and went back along the road.

    Ginnar looked up from the stone. “’Ey, dere! Chin up, laddie!” He was not sure what Sam had signed, but he did not like what Carl was saying. “Yer kin tha’ a Paladin’s ‘ealin’ works on faith, righ’? Well, it ain’t jus’ th’ Paladin’s faith that matters. Lotta people dun kin this, bu’ our ‘ealin’ works best when th’ one bein’ ‘ealed ‘as some faith themselves. Dun ‘ave ter be ter th’ same Diety nor even ter ‘un at all. Yer jus’ need to believe tha’ yer’ll be ‘ealed an’ it’ll strengthen our powers.” He slipped the stone back into his pocket. “Norry will be ‘ere soon, bu’ Thrain’s workin’ on somethin’ important from th’ sounds o’ it.”

    Ziqua nodded. Suddenly changed to the ghostly blue. Both Maheera and Ziqua appeared frozen.
    Vonhelix sighed and extended his hands “Someone to keep her mind calm would be good.” he answered.
    ~~~~
    “Minds your's owns business.” Colby shouted “She is nots my aunts she is an exiles whos killeds my grandfathers ands my greats Uncles. Shes nos kins of mines!”
    The rest of the children sensing danger ran to crowd around their mother. Calarys tried to embrace them all.
    Colby glanced at the Coercer “Maybes yous coulds makes my wifes sees sense fors mes?”
    Canty stepped out of the kitchen in time to hear something about a Coercer. She took out a throwing knife and threw it towards the hooded figure.
    ~~~~
    Tetriemmy turned her head to make sure everyone was through before she stepped through herself.
    ~~~
    Once on the other side Tetriemmy tensed “There is something unnatural around here.” she said as she drew her whip. “Other than you cub,” the Fury hastily added.
    Alyerra sighed.
    Tetriemmy whistled twice. She let out another sound which was more akin to a screech.
    Brienae nodded “I really despise being called Brie. I much prefer my full name.” she muttered “I supposed I could help again.”
    Kyriu thought for a moment when she saw Lamia “I suppose you want to right the wrong you committed?” she asked Lamia.
    Kelauriel sighed “I don't suppose there's anything I could do to help.”
    The hawk chirped.
    Kelauriel blinked her large green eyes “Tobias says he saw some one just dash through here with skeletons.
    Lazera sniffed her arm “I don't smell like rotting bones...”
    “Again?” Kyriu sighed. “Well we won't be here very long anyway.”
    Two griffons and a Wyvern landed next to the druid ring. One of the griffons was white, the other one was black and white and resembled more of a puffin than any bird of prey.
    The wyvern was blue and white.
    ~~~~
    Relane finished the letter and sent it off “Mizria will be here shortly. She's a tailor very kind hearted. I'm sure she'll bring plenty of things for you. She may have to take some measurements though.” the Freeblood smiled at her daughter revealing fangs “I'm sure you'll get along just fine with her.”
    ~~~~~~
    “Hm I guess the unassigned would be us.” Xiaminara said “Er first I think the hold would be good, I need something else on my stomach...” as she spoke she appeared queasy again.
    ~~~~
    Mazsra stayed int the wagon and yawned.
    ~~~~
    Sam signed something else.
    This time Tim translated “He says he knows what Thrain is working on. He's trying to find a solution to the dark weapons which are showing up.” Tim laughed “He also says that with two translators he'll save his strength and sign rather than talking in our minds.”
    Carl sighed “I understand, but it was your Mystic brother actually who told me that my injury couldn't be healed. He said it was too old and because it was my spine few people would want to mess with it.” he sighed “However that doesn't mean you can't help Sam... maybe even though his injury is much older it's not as sensitive an area.” he really wasn't sure if the Paladins would be able to give Sam back his speech or not but he didn't want to crush Sam's small amount of faith if there was a chance.
    ((Hope you have a nice trip Iksaress))
    Ross dropped the quill and stood, knocking her chair over with a loud clatter. “Ziqua? Are you alright?” She hurried around the desk and knelt down.
    Sylvie latched the manacles around the Gnome’s wrists, which shrank quickly down to an appropriate size so that they did not slip off of such small hands. “Oh, blast. Norna got sent out to Antonica.” She glanced over and sighed. “Nerry?”
    The Halfling looked over, feigning disinterest. “Yes?”
    “You want to help? And I do mean help.”
    “Will it count towards my sentence?”
    Sylvie sighed. “Look, just come help and I’ll put a word in for you to Ro-the Captain.”
    “Oh, alright, then.” He held his hands out while she grabbed another set. "Are those really necissary."
    ***
    “I don’t have a shift until later today. I’ll show you to the hold.” Rainer grinned. Padparadisch frowned. He wasn’t sure he could stand the Feir’dal’s sunny disposition much longer. Rainer turned and headed towards a door set into the rear castle of the ship. He opened the door and held it open.
    ***
    Norna watched Antonica slip by them again as the wagon trundled on. She turned as it slowed down a little. “Something wrong?” She asked.
    The Lieutenant was squinting at the road ahead. “Hold on tight. I think those are Highwaymen up ahead. I’m going to try to out run ‘em.” He twitched the reins and the horses nickered and picked up the pace. The wagon bounced now as the animals began to run and Norna clung to the wooden seat.
    ***
    Ginnar nodded. “Aye. Spinal inj’ries tend ter be tricky.” He looked to Sam. “Bu’ we’ll see wha’ we kin do fer yer, laddie.” He turned as he heard knocking at the door. “Ay bet tha’s Norry there.”
    ((Have a nice trip!
    I think that I have switched Ginnar and Nordri again, but I’m going to just roll with it for now since I can’t go back and edit the previous posts. ^^; ))
    Ziqua's eyes returned to normal, but she started shivering and crying. She collapsed against Ross and sobbed into the Captain's shoulder since she was kneeling down.
    Vonhelix sighed “Alright lead on.” he told Sylvie
    In the clinic Mordedana and Priestess Anna set Elena down on the second cot. The first cot was occupied by an unconscious Calish.
    Telsi sat at the foot of the cot as though guarding her fiancee`.
    Xia rather liked the bright disposition as it rather mirrored her own. She turned to follow Rainer “You should probably get some rest yourself,” she said to Padaparadisch before dashing to join Rainer.
    ~~~~
    Mazsra closed her eyes and whispered “Spirits protect us,” she also felt rather helpless if indeed there were highwaymen she could not cast or even call on her spirit companion as she was still bound.
    ~~~~
    “I'll get it,” Tim said before dashing down the ramp and opening the door for the dwarf “Come on in they're upstairs,” he informed Nordri.
    Sam nodded. He signed.
    Carl shook his head as he translated “Says he really does appreciate you making this effort...” he sighed “Sam slow down, it's been awhile.”
    Sam smiled and slowed his signs down a little.
    “Better,” Carl said before translating “He just doesn't want to be a bother.” he paused “Really Sam how many times do we have to over this. You're not enslaved anymore.”
    Ross patted her on the back. "What happened? Are you alright?"
    Sylvie shut the door and led them up the stairs and down the hall to the infirmary. "Okay, what do you need, Volhelix?"
    ***
    Padparadisch scoffed, but had no further objections. Rainer pointed down a halfway. "The men's bunks are up the stairs down that way and to the right. Take any of them that don't have knapsacks or personal belongings sitting on them." He nodded behind him where another staircase led down. "The hold is this way."
    ***
    A few of the figures on the road ran out, yelling at the wagon to stop, but Herrigan urged the horses on. The men dove out of the way and as they passed arrows were shot at the wagon. Herrigan swore as more men appeared on the sides, many with more bows.
    ***
    Nordri nodded. "Thank yer." He headed up.
    Ginnar shook his head. "Maybe yer'll do better wit yer freedom once yer've got yer voice back, eh?"
    Ziqua sniffed “I s-saw...” she swallowed still unable to talk about the vision.
    Maheera nuzzled the Captain seeking comfort as she was scared of the images in the vision too.
    Vonhelix sighed “VoN-Helix.” he corrected “Right now I have no idea what I'll need. Be prepared” he said turning to Nerry “If she's awake she's likely to be in a bit of rage... which would be where you come in.
    Elena opened her eyes. She was sweating. She turned her head and saw the Gnome “What is he doing here? she screamed.
    Priestess Anna answered “He's here to help.”
    “I don't need his help!” Elena growled. She looked like she was ready to pounce. She clutched her stomach.
    Vonhelix took a step back and swallowed. “It's very important that she does not transform especially if I'm right.”
    ~~~~~~
    “Are men and women together?” Xia asked when being told it was the men's barracks. She also touched her short hair and wondered if having it cut so short made her look like a man. The thought rather hurt.
    ~~~~
    Mazsra continued to pray. She wasn't sure what else she could do. She laid down in the wagon to avoid falling over.
    ~~~~~
    Tim followed Nordri back up the ramp.
    Sam sighed and signed.
    Carl translated “He says maybe... he also says he is rather nervous.” he laughed “He says it's nothing against y'all.”

    Ross patted the girl on the head. "Calm yourself. Take some deep breaths." She looked down at the tiger cub and picked her up in one arm, holding her like a housecat.
    Sylvie pushed Nerry forward. "I believe that is your cue."
    The Halfling looked from the Guard to Elena. "I kinda can't cast with these on." He held up his hands. Sylvie muttered an epithet and reached down, unlocking the manacles. Nerry shook his hands and began to cast a mezmerizing spell.
    ***
    Rainer spun to look at Xia, his face flushing red. "Oh no! No, the women's quarters are down that hall." He pointed. "Just past the Captain's quarters."
    ***
    The horses whinnied as they went and got clear of the highwaymen. Herrigan looked back and swore loudly. Even Antonica didn't seem safe these days. "I swear, the next chance I get I'm going to lead as many of the Guard as I can out here and clear that lot out." he huffed. "Everyone alright?"
    ***
    "Aye, nervous be fine. Now then, shall we?" Ginnar looked to his brother, who nodded.
    "Aye. Sit still laddie buck and say 'ahh'." Nordri took a holy fetish out of his back and held it.

    Ziqua sniffed and started taking deep breaths.
    Maheera did not object to the position she nuzzled into the Paladins shoulder as her own nerves calmed.
    Elena saw the Halfling cast but she didn't try to fight the spell.
    “Vonhelix,” Priestess Anna said “What did you do?”
    Vonhelix swallowed “Um nothing much just tied to transformation to her emotions... as well as the moon...” he muttered.
    Priestess Anna cast the Gnome a stern look “And this was supposed to help her?”
    “Yes if she could...”
    “I would suggessst you be honessst.” Mordedana said from a nearby corner.
    ~~~~
    “I'm fine,” Mazsra answered “Might be getting too old for this kind of thing but other than that I'm fine.
    Sam nodded knelt so that the Dwarves might have easier access to his head and also so he was sitting. He could only make guttural noises as aah anyway so he did as instructed. In his mind he asked the Tribunal for their blessing in this working.
    Lamia sighed and grumbled a "Yes" to Kyriu. "Yes, yeah whatever.." she growled. Grumpy, she yawned. She never did get any sleep the past few days, and it was starting to get to her. She just knew that, at some point, she would collapse in sleep and snore.
    She looked over to her left and saw a short Iksar stooped over a corpse, him holding a dagger. He was not too far off. Maybe 20 feet. The dagger was small certainly, but she recognized the familiar gleam of metal it had. She frowned lightly. That looked very suspicious.
    "Uhm.. Anyone know who that is over there? Or what he's doing?" she asked seemingly no-one, pointing at the Iksar. Ssulvex let out a hiss and his head turned up briefly. Then he looked back down and started looting the corpse that he had found. He pulled a small bag of coins.. A small tome.. He frowned slightly. Well, he couldn't use the tomb that easily.. But perhaps he could erase the markings in it to make a spellbook..
    He made sure to rake the blade in his hand across the corpse's stomach slowly to make sure it was dead. No sound. Ssulvex then stood up and started walking away very slowly, letting out an occasional hiss.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++
    The coercer took off his hood, revealing he was Kerran. His fur was black with white splotches, both of his eyes teal. He had multiple piercings in his ears and on his forehead. His hands continue to wave around, however it stopped and he blinked, growling as he stumbled.
    The bright colours of the Bewilderment spell really distracted him. What made his distraction worse was the throwing knife that landed in his chest with a soft thud!. He screeched and he fell against the wall. "What.. a nuisance.." he panted. He suddenly cast Hemorrhage on Shiasia, not caring that if she died, Nazsuss would be an orphan.
    He also dispelled his charm on her and he held up his hands, though he kept the hemorrhage going on her. The Ratonga's body swayed and her nose began to bleed quite a bit. Her eyes dulled slightly as she stumbled towards her son, picking him up and leaning against the wall, muttering seemingly gibberish. "There.. I let the mangy, flea-ridden rat go. Happy?" he stated, distastefully insulting all Ratonga with just three words.
    "Careful or else little miss Ratty here might get more than just a hemorrhage.." he threatened.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++
    'Stitches' yawned lightly. He ended up falling asleep against the wall while having listened to the rather boring conversation.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++
    Vhyrenia walked out of the house and frowned slightly, rubbing her eyes and letting out a cat-like yawn. She looked herself over. She was rather happy to be out of the harsh leather Assassins garb she usually wore. But the fact she had to use a corset to fit inside said leather made her feel weird without it. Well.. at least she was skinny enough to wear the long dress.
    She smoothed out the wrinkles and looked through the pockets. Then she remembered why she left the house. She headed into the guardhouse and started looking through a list on a board nearby. She wanted to stop her life of assassination and just actually find a real job instead of killing people.
    And that's what she planned on doing.
