    Ross reached into her desk and pulled out a cookie. She offered it to the girl.
    Alderman nodded. "The Guardhouse's clinic is this way." He indicated the hall towards the kitchen. "Private Grayhaze, go see if anyone is there." He did not want the Freeblood to walk in on an injured Guard if she was already so effected by the blood.
    Syvlie nodded. "Yes, Captain!" She jogged down the hall, past other Guards who had finished breakfast and were now heading out to their posts and patrols. The clinic's door was the last one on the left. She knocked first and when there was no reply she opened it. The room's six beds were empty. "There's no one here!" She called down the hall.
    Alderman raised an eyebrow at the Kerra woman. "I do not know what that means, but I do know that I told you to stop accosting others and causing trouble. If I have to say that again, I will arrest you for interferring with an investigation."

    Bella tapped her chin and thought for a moment. "If we's cans scheudual thems for whens I's gives Llew's lessons, I's thinks thats woulds works, buts I's woulds likes ones of you's threres toos." She sniffed and spun towards the stove, where the bubbling mixture of fayberries and sugar was spitting and hissing, smoke rolling out of the pan. "Ohnoes!" She wrapped her hand in her cloak and pulled the pan off of the heat.
    Aloysiius grinned. "The priest spent many hours pacing their shared room and the farmer enjoyed the silence from his constant nagging. Finally the priest tossed his hands up and tossed a bag of coins to the farmer, who tucked them away silently. The priest tapped his foot impatiently. 'Well?!' He finally asked. 'What is the answer to your riddle?!' The farmer looked up at the priest, smiled and handed him a single gold coin." Aloysiius laughed.
    Rothgut shook his head. "Is nots hards to learns."

    Llew nodded and said into the stone. 'I think I know a way to get them to stop crowding her.' Aloud she began to speak again to the mages. "We were thinking-" The majority of the mages stepped back to listen to her. "Since the energy seems to be a mix of Druidic and Necromantic...well, we know of no way to seperate the two, the way they've been mixed. So we were thinking that using Niff's Third Principle of Containment we could-"
    "Niff's Third is a bit advanced, isn't it?" One of the males raised his eyebrow as he studied Llew, but she brushed the slight off.
    "It is not so adavanced that we did not use it to save my brother." At this Alaric glanced at the doorway.
    "That is an awfully dangerous thing to do to a child." He said. The other mages frowned at Llew now. She did not like the accusitory looks. Llew set her jaw.
    "You misunderstand. We used it to take out the energy that was making him sick, not put it there."
    "And where did that energy get put?" One of them asked.

    Padparadisch rolled his eyes. "I am Padparadisch Padatasch."
    Del secured the dinghy and climbed the rope. She made a handsign and one of the ship's mage crewmen stepped forward. With a spell the dinghy disappeared.
    Del clapped her hands. "Alright, mates! We've got two new crewmembers 'ere! This is Xia an' me Guildmate Paddy! Paddy 'ere 'as offered to play us some music!"
    The crew paused in their work to wave and call 'hello's and 'welcome's and a few song requests. Padparadisch scowled at being introduced as 'Paddy'. He looked around and saw that the crew were a mixed lot, like Del had said. He could see humans and elves, but also Ratonga, Erudite, Troll, Kerra, Froglok, Ogre, and Barbarian. Some were climbing the ropes to and across the masts and others were moving supplies across the deck to below, but all were busy.

    Herrigan nodded. He paused and stopped the cart, scanning ahead. "What's going on over there?"
    Norna squinted. "Is that who we're supposed to meet?"

    Ziqua accepted the cookie and took a small nibble “Th-thank you,” she stammered after swallowing the first bite.
    “Thank you,” Calish said. He managed to pick Telsi up despite her struggles against him. There looked to be some pain in his eyes as he carried her into the clinic. “If you don't want to see this I suggest you back up the hall.” he whispered to Sylvie. He stepped into the clinic and set the ravenous Freeblood on the first empty bed.
    Telsi pounced on the Tier'dal's wrist as soon as he released her and sank her teeth in. She began to drink as though it had been weeks since she fed.
    With his other hand Calish stroked her currently short hair and began whispering to her “Telsianya, Enavra, remember.”
    Gregor watched the couple leave and shook his head “With all due respect Captain I do not think the lady here is the only one at fault.” he looked at Tygarr “That man, a man who was raised to only know hate in a few moments showed more compassion that I have seen from anyone in a long time.”
    Tygarr shrugged. He smiled at Vhyrenia “Same to you madame.” he glanced back at Gregor “Tell me why I should carrre? As soon as yourrr other Captain is done listening to the lies of my niece I can take herrr home.” he laughed “The ravenous one is not the only one tempted by the sight and scent of blood is she Lieutenant?”
    Gregor remained silent.
    ~~~~
    Zach nodded “Thank you. We have another brother we were able to rescue from the Orcs. He's been a slave more many years. Might see if he wants to accompany Carl.” he sighed “Might do him some good to get out of the house and do something to help him get acclimated to society again.” he swallowed as the pot appeared to begin burning “Sorry I distracted you.”
    Canty stepped into the kitchen and sniffed the air “Ms Bella do you needs anys helps?” she asked.
    The boys laughed.
    Fayberry frowned “Buts thats nots fairs. The farmers cheateds”
    Calarys smiled “Yis, I thinks thats is because of hers age.” she sighed “I believes alls pinkies gos throughs a stage likes thats wheres theys onlys wants to dos what theys wants.” she smiled “Yous has a few years thoughs befores yous needs to worries abouts this ones.” she frowned as she contemplated her own pinkies in a few years.
    Tetri sighed “I have so much to learn it seems. Where do we begin first?”
    ~~~~~
    Alyerra breathed a sigh of relief as the amount of mages around her became less. “Thank you,” she said through the stone to Llew. She swallowed when the question came up as to where the energy had gone. “Into me,” she said out loud. She prayed that it would not bring all the focus back onto her. “Since I am technically dead... it's very difficult to kill me... again. I can also regenerate a little when I...” she paused briefly to decide what word fit best “when I feed. Because I can't easily be killed and I can't die of old age my body is able to contain the energy, also because of the regeneration I can heal the damage that it does to me. Also because I am... dead it can't make me sick. The only side effect I suffer is I need to feed a bit more often.” she paused for breath “Problem I have right now is... divine energy burns me and I can't heal damage from that.” she sighed “I'll be honest so hopefully y'all can understand. The last time I was in a room with this many mages I died... so forgive me if I seem nervous,”
    ~~~~~
    Xia curtseyed “I'm sure we could make some great duets together,” she said to Padparadisch. She did not mind at all being introduced as Xia.
    ~~~~
    Mazsra looked up “I think something might have gone wrong.”
    Brienae continued to sing her Lullaby as a wagon came into view. She hoped it was who she was supposed to meet.
    Tari turned “Uh oh we got company. I think it's time ta go.” she glided towards the Iksar.
    Brienae switched her song to Tari.
    The Arasai yawned “That ain't fair Cuz...” she curled into her large wings and fell asleep.
    Brienae turned back to the Iksar. She prayed that Qeynos had more sense to send an enchanter as her own abilities in the department were severely limited.
    The High-Elf remained curled in a ball very similar to a Fae curled into their wings whimpering about his back being split open.
    ~~~~
    Relane dealt five cards to Stinsia and herself “Now pick up your cards and see if you have anything that matches. If you do, lay it down in front of you. If you don't then you ask me for one of the cards. For example if you have a 2 you would ask me for a 2. If I have the card then I have to give it to you, if I do not have it then I will tell you to go fish. In that case you will draw a card the pile here.” she nodded to the pile. “Understand?”
    ~~~~
    Lazera nodded as she finished draining the first snake. “I also want to try casting more... it burns but maybe I can over come it.” she sighed “Either that or one of these days I am going to burst into flame.” she frowned “To be honest... it does kind of bother me how my friends turned on me when I returned. I was trying to help people. I try to pretend it doesn't hurt, but it does, in a way worse than the divine energy which courses through me, but you don't seem to care and for that I am grateful.”

    Lamia nodded. "I think it'd be better to over come the burning, my friend. I'm not too fond of flame bursters.." she retorted. She sighed and shook her head.

    "That's the problem with most people. They can't accept Freeblood.." she frowned. She bounces gently on the balls of her feet. She smiled and nodded. "I don't care at all. As long as I can make friends, I'm happy. Though the other.. personality prefers to just experiment on Freeblood.." she shuddered.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++
    Shiasia nodded to Calarys and chuckled. "Oh boys.. can'ts wait for this ones to go throughs its.." she retorted weakly. She thought for a moment. "Oh whats dos somes of those humans calls its..? Pubertys or somethings..". A yawn escaped her mouth and she blinked.

    Jhyiskitches had slowly walked into the tavern while Zach was busy talking. He was partially unaware he had even step foot into the establishment. His gaze drifted to Shiasia, but he then shifted said gaze averted from her. He had more important things to do, actually.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++
    Zulgahr glanced at Tari and quirked his brow, a bit surprised, and yet not so at the same time. "Tch.. And I thought she was stronger than to fall asleep at the first note!" he spat. He shrugged. "Ah well.. I bequeath you, insect, to your little sniveling "Koada'Dal" friend. I have some... business to attend to.." he said, first switching the spell over to Brienae, and then casually walking over to Tari, picking her up, and turning around and heading for the Druid Rings. Huh.. Arasai were just barely lighter than Fae..

    It was taking all his mental might to resist the Lullaby, and he was physically fatigued as well, which showed in his gait, which was a bit slow. Luckily however, the Druid Rings were relatively close by. Hm.. First he'd take her to Greater Faydark.. And once she woke up, he'd.. maybe charm her into helping him retrieve something of his.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++
    Listening to her mother's explanation of the game, Stinsmia nodded, her ear twitching once. She picked up the cards and looked at them slowly. She couldn't read a bit of Common, but she understood the rules. As well as generally what numbers looked like.

    "D-Do you have a.. 4, mama?" she asked curiously, looking up at the Freeblood with bright eyes,
    ++++++++++++++++++++++
    Vhyrenia didn't seem to pay heed to the guardsman, but she understood the message. She sighed and crossed her arms. She made no noise at Tygarr but rather merely stared holes through his head. Vaska had a firm grip on her tail, which kept her from lashing out at the male.

    "I.. need to get some rest.. I'm.. not feeling like myself today.." the Kerra woman murmured, yawning. Vaska merely nodded and started trailing away, wife in tow. He briefly pointed out something, and Vhyrenia nodded. "I swear that man.." the kerra's voice became a softer and softer as she and the Freeblood trailed away.

    Ross picked the quill up again. "Now, then. Before Mazsra took you away did you ever ask anyone for help? Did she try to get you help first?"
    Sylvie backed up and shut the door. She stood in the hall to turn away anyone who tried to enter.
    Alderman looked at Gregor. "Lieutenant? I thought I knew all the officers in the Qeynos Guard. Are you a transfer?" Alderman had not been in the Guard for more than a year, having transfered from the Protectors of Growth.

    Bella glared at her sister, who was giggling. "Noes, noes. I's shoulds haves watched its betters." She began to empty and clean the pot. "I's cans teaches yours other brother toos if he's wants. Or he coulds hang outs. Is no shortage of peoples to talk to in the bakeries." She looked over her shoulder at Canty. "I's burneds its. Does you's remembers whats I's showed yous? You's tries its nows."
    Aloysiius laughed. "The priest never said the farmer had to know the answer to his own question. That story is popular among followers of Bristlebane, one of my favorites when I was your age, about."
    Rothgut pulled a blank journal from his bag. "Cans learns nows." He paused. "Oh, buts I's does nots writes and reads Commons." He frowned. "Toska!" His daughter left the kitchen, giggling and came over to the table. "She needs to knows Ratongans ands I's needs Commons. Cans you's writes thems downs for us?"
    Toska nodded. "Yisyis." She took a charcoal stick from her pocket and began to neatly write letters in both languages on the pages.

    Rene waved some of the mages back to give Alyerra more room. The female mage glanced at Llew. "You had to of used a focus. What was it?"
    Llew took a deep breath. "A druid friend of ours asked Arbos, the Elddar Tree to help."
    The Koada'dal, though all mages, stiffined. "Arbos? The last of the Elddar Forest?" There was an angry tinge to the woman's voice.
    "I know the importance of Arbos, but it was the only way." Llew replied.
    "And what do you propose we use as a focus this time? We will need one. Perhaps we should defile Tunare's Sapling for-?"
    "I was thinking to ask Bloombright." Llew cut in angrily.
    "Bloombright? Who is Bloombright?"

    Padparadisch folded his arms as Del began to bark orders. One of the nearby crewmembers whistled. "Duets? You didn't tell us they were a couple, Captain!"
    The Teir'dal spun, scowling at the crewman. "We are not a couple!" He growled.

    Norna jumped from the wagon. "I think that's the Coercer!" She raised her staff and cast chains at the Iskar. She followed up quickly by summoning her Personae Reflection and sending it into the rings.
    Herrigan leapt down and drew his sword. "Halt! By order of the Qeynos Guard!" He ran towards the rings. "Release the Fae!"

    Ziqua shook her head “Uncle Tygarr said we h-had to keep moving. I neverrr underrrstood what he wanted... if I saw nothing he whipped me, but when I did see things he still beat me...” she shuddered “One d-day I saw Uncle Tygarr in a building j-just like this... f-fighting a wolf. Then I saw him turrrn into a wolf but when I told him he began to use his whip. That was when Ms. Maszrrra showed up. She told him to stop and he told herrr to mind her own business. I kn-knew she was following us because I saw herrr sometimes in the shadows.” she swallowed “One night she woke me up and asked me t-to go with herrr. She seemed nice and she told me that my visions were a g-gift from the spirrrits.”
    Calish continued to coax his fiancee` back to herself while she drank from his wrist. He was beginning to feel a bit light-headed. Telsi returned to normal and released him. “Calish you can't keep doing this!” she snapped “I could kill you!”
    Calish shook his head as he tore off some of the blue fabric from his shirt and wrapped it around his wrist “No you couldn't.” he answered “You're borderline ravenous, not ravenous. There's enough sense of you left.”
    Gregor swallowed “Not exactly,” he sighed “I worked here for awhile... and well I guess to make a long story short, I was captured during a routine mission in Antonica about a year ago.” he sighed “I managed to escape and just made it back today...”
    Tygarr smiled thinking he had triumphed.
    ~~~~
    Canty sighed “I's thinks sos,” she skulked over to Bella.
    Zach nodded “Might be good for him. Er when you get a chance I'll need you to come back to the guardhouse with me to sign some papers.”
    “Ohs that's trues...” Fayberry conceded. She began to giggle. “Anothers ones?”
    “Yis ones mores?” the boys requested.
    Calarys sighed and shook her head “He'lls bes heres all days if he gives ins to theirs ones mores,” Turning to the young mother she said “Rights nows yous don't needs tos worrys abouts the futures. All yous needs to worrys abouts is nows and raisings hims to be strongs. He'lls gives yous mores to worrys abouts laters, but rights nows enjoys whats yous haves,”
    Tetri watched Toska write. She understood the marks in common.
    ~~~
    Kyriu remained silent as she followed almost none of the arcane dialogue. “We will defile nothing!” she shouted “Tetriemmy Windfoot made sure there was no corruption! By the Tribunal do you people always assume the worst?” her eyes turned yellow as she lost her temper.
    Alyerra relaxed more as the mages backed away. She followed the conversation only a little better than the Monk only because her music provided some magic which she had learned how to control. The Dirge turned her head in shame that she now appeared to be the source of so much strife. She clutched the stone and spoke to Llew “I left out the empathic bond Al and I seem to have... I'm wondering if we should tell them that... I'm worried about what they'd think... I suspect it works both ways... I don't want him to be hurt because I am...”
    ~~~~~
    Xia giggled. She grinned revealing her fangs “No we're not a couple, I just thought since we're both musicians we could make music together.” she shrugged “Maybe he's just being stage shy. Happens if you've never performed for an audience before.” she had never heard of him previously so she had no way of knowing of his accomplishments.
    ~~~
    Brienae sighed with relief as help arrived.
    Tari woke up and surveyed her surroundings. She concentrated and took her unseelie form. She turned into a tiny purple ball and flew from his grasp. She returned to normal and stood next to her cousin. When she stood next to the Fae it was obvious she was a bit taller and definitely purple. “Traitor!” she shouted at the Iksar “We were supposed ta be a team!”
    Brienae stopped in her lullaby just long enough to cast Upbeat Tempo on the newly arrived Illusionist allowing her abilities to refresh faster and giving her additional hits from any of her spells which would allow it.
    Tari drew her daggers “No one double crosses a Clearshadow without payin for it!” she vanished and reappeared at the Iksar's back. She slashed with both of her poisoned daggers at the back of his knees.
    ~~~~
    Relane looked at her cards and handed over the 4. “Now you get to go again,” she explained “Because you got what you asked for,”
    ~~~~
    “I take it your other personality is not so kind in her experiments?” Lazera answered. “We might be able to come to a compromise the three of us.” she swallowed “I mean I understand the other personality is not exactly you, but I doubt they could be evil. I might be willing to let her experiment provided she does no permanent damage.”
    ~~~
    Sam shivered in his sleep from chill.
    Carl sighed as he moved his wheelchair closer to the bed. He pulled the sheet out from under the man and placed it over him. He turned to the dwarven Paladin “I know you said you weren't much of a healer, but can you do anything for him?”
    ((Feel free, Might bring back Tsmia (Halfling Warlock) if you do.))
    Lamia shook her head. "No she isn't too kind.." She sighed and frowned. "I'm afraid that in the best case scenario, she'd most likely knock you unconscious with Druidic magic, and then rake a dagger down your back." she admitted. "Worst case? She would torture you and try to keep you awake the whole time.." she scowled
    "She's a real.. sadist unfortunately."
    +++++++++++++++++++++++
    Shiasia sighed. "Yeah, and thats will be the biggest challenges I's ever faceds.." she murmured softly. The Ratongess nodded. At the moment she was at least glad that Colby was being rather quiet. She looked out the window to see that it was getting pretty dark. She yawned again.
    Her energy was just about spent. She was pretty tired, and she was certain that soon she'd nod off into sleep. Not that'd she mind. She could of course, use the rest.
    Jhyiskitches backed away from the entrance of the tavern. He leaned against the wall of the building and flicked away a small leaf. "This is taking too long.." he murmured in a hushed whisper.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++
    Zulgahr blinked as Tari woke up. He frowned and growled very lightly as the Arasai went unto the unseelie form and left his grasp. At the exclamations, he scowled and shook his head. He shook his head and backed away slightly. And now he could just barely see a resemblance between the Arasai and Fae.
    He cried out and fell down onto his knees, unaware that the daggers that slashed were laced with poison. He let out an annoyed hiss. "You don't understand, Arasai! I was trying to make sure you didn't get harmed after you fell asleep! In no way was I betraying you! He had lived for quite a while, and he had heard a little, but not all of the news of when the Arasai's gang building was burned, along with her father. He had a feeling that might haunt her. His charm slowly shifted over to target the Arasai and he smirked lightly.
    "I know of the memories which haunt you, Arasai.. I know what happened to your father.. Why do you live with yourself, knowing your the one who caused it?" he hissed slowly, using the spell to fill Tari with visions of herself starting the fire.
    The halfling watched from afar the scene that was being played out. She laughed lightly to herself. Well the Iksar was getting away, and the faes were .. failing at their attempts. It was at that moment, rather a snap decision, that she decided to join the Fae in their battle. She could already tell that the Iksar and Arasai were.. not favourable. She pulled her staff out and she slammed the bottom end onto the ground, summoning Storm of Lightning upon the Iksar. "You shall fall for your deeds!" she shouted in her refined voice.
    The Coercer shrieked as lightning began to strike him multiple times. He collapsed to the ground, still conscious, but unable to stand. The poison was beginning to take hold, as he was also gasping for air. Eventually he fell unconscious, for lack of air, as well as the damage. Shantotto walked closer to the scaly body and poked it with her staff as if with a cane. "Rather fragile, aren't we, you doddering fool?" she asked with a quirked brow, backing away just a bit. She shortened the staff a bit (through an aesthetic spell) and walked away a bit more, using said shortened staff as a cane.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++
    Stinsmia looked up and nodded. She looked through her own cards slowly. "D-Do you have a.. 9, mama?" she asked slowly.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++
    Vhyrenia and her husband went back home and they both just sat in the bed snuggling.
    Ross' hand clentched and the quill snapped in half. She bit her lip and brushed the pieces aside. Ross took a deep breath. "Do you have any scars from the whippings or have they been healed without scars?" She asked.
    Alderman scratched his chin. "I think...I think I recall something about someone disappearing around the time I transfered over as a Lieutenant myself." Alderman bit his lip, not wanting to mention that he might very well have been the other man's replacement in the Guard.
    Bella began to scrub the burned fayberries from the pot. "I's wills goes with you's as soons as this is cleaneds and the turnovers are dones, okays?" She looked over to Canty. "If you's cans do that's parts, I's will works on the dough nows."
    Aloysiius laughed. "Another? Alright then! Let me see. How about...Ah! How about the Son and the Cat? There was once a man who had made a great fortune through dishonest means. One day this man died and he left his fortune in equal parts to his three sons."
    Rothgut only understood the Ratongan letters that Toska wrote. She finished and scooted the book over to them. "Okays, this is a cipher for both languages. You's cans use its to learns the letters, but thens you's wills has to learns the grammars of each language."
    One of the mages stepped back. "This one's eyes are strange." He said.
    Llew frowned. "You really do assume the worst, don't you?"
    "We are not assuming the worst." Alaric said. "It is only prudent for a mage to ask in depth questions like this."
    "Then before we go to Bloombright, there is something you should know about-"
    "Who is Bloombright? Another druid?" Alaric cut her off before she could mention the emphatic bond.
    Llew shook her head. "No, Bloombright was one of Ma's friends."
    Alaric raised one eyebrow. "Are we to go to Qeynos, then? One of her colleagues from the Celestial Watch?"
    "Bloombright lives here, in the Faydark. By a pool of water in the mountains to the south. And Mother knew Bloombright since childhood."
    "Impossable." Alaric nearly growled. "We knew all of Ain'Mur's childhood friends."
    "Knew her so well that she became a Druid halfway through her training as a mage as your apprentice." Llew snapped.
    "Is this one of Ain'Mur's children, then?" The female mage asked.
    "Ah! New to the bard scene, then?" The human said. "Don't worry, we're not too picky here. Off-key and missed notes are never noticed here!"
    Padparadisch scowled. "I just love a tone-deaf audience." He growled and glanced around, unsure of what to do with himself now.
    Del stood at the wheel of the ship and waved. "Hoy! Say goo'bye ter th' Grey Lady!" She called to the crew.
    Norna paused, a little unsure of who was friend and who was foe. The one Fae had given her help with her spells, but the other's loyalties seemed fleeting. She and Herrigan approached cautiously while the halfling backed away.
    "I am Lieutenant Halvard Herrigan of the Qeynos Guard. Identify yourselves!"
    Ziqua jumped as the quill snapped in half. She began to tremble. She was unable to answer.
    Maheera nuzzled Ziqua's back. She looked at the Captain and nuzzled the kitten's back again. “I hope she takes the hint,” she said to Ziqua. She was trying to tell the Captain where the scars were.
    Gregor nodded. He said nothing. He now wondered where he would have been if he had not been captured. The thought crossed his mind that perhaps he had been replaced.
    “Sir are you alright?” Simon asked.
    Gregor made no response. If he had been replaced then where did that put him now?.
    ~~~~
    Zach nodded “Of course,”
    Canty nodded and began chopping more berries. Her cuts were extremely uneven.
    “Thanks Cub,” Tetri said to Toska. She looked between the the letters.
    “I's thinks I heards this ones,” Limberger said “The youngests gets a cats, thats talks...”
    “Listens,” Fayberry hissed “It's mights bes differents,”
    Bane stretched. The puppy looked around him in excitement. He walked over to Shiasia and began sniffing her tail.

    Kyriu sighed “There is nothing strange about my eyes. My father had hazel eyes. His eyes had a tendency to change color based on his clothing, environment or sometimes his emotion. Although normally they shifted between Blue, green and brown. Sometimes yellow if he looked into Mama's eyes long enough. My mother had yellow eyes. I take after my father mostly. My eyes change but sometimes I take on my mother's eye color.” she took a deep breath “Hazel is a rare human eye color that most of Dad's family was blessed with all of their eyes change or used to. Sometimes as they get older the eyes will stay one color. Golden eyes are actually rather common among the Fier'dal.” after Llew spoke she had an idea “Llew, if I'm right as to who Bloomblight is would you like me to contact Tetri?”
    Alyerra remained silent.

    Xia smiled exposing her fangs. “A tone deaf audience is better than no audience,” she responded.

    Brienae curtsied “I am Lady Brienae De'Esalcoda,” she answered.
    Tari blinked and appeared shaken “I-I wasn't there...” she stammered “He sent me away.”
    The High-Elf uncurled “I don't remember... where am I?” he hugged his knees
    Brienae sighed “My Uncle asked me to escort the prisoner here for the exchange... he sent the sergeant here to help, but the prisoner escaped and...” she took a deep breath “The Arasai is Tari Clearshadow... not sure what she is doing here.” I did not get the Sergeant's name... though I really should have.” her wings drooped in shame at the devastation the Iksar had caused.
    Tari curled into her wings. She seemed to have forgotten where she was

    “No go fish,” Relane answered. She nodded towards the pile of cards.
    ~~~~
    Lazera nodded “So I see...” she waded back into the lake and caught another fish with her claws. She bit into it while it still moved. After she finished draining it she handed it to Lamia. “Any idea what you want to do after lunch?”
    ((My husband has hazel eyes. They really are very interesting to watch change.
    Hope y'all have a great thanksgiving))
    ((My Dad has hazel eyes too. They mostly stay gray or blue, but sometimes they're green. My sister is the only one of the six of us to inherit them, though her's are gray and blue with no green that I've ever seen. My Mom is thrilled that my brother's little girl inherited our family's green eyes.
    Happy Thanksgiving to you guys! :D ))
    ((Cool. I've seen my husband's eyes be green (most of the time) blue and brown. My own eyes are brown. The times his eyes are brown is usually after we've been talking for awhile and I literally watch them shift to mirror my eyes. In my family my dad had hazel eyes they quit changing and now stay green. At least I haven't seen them change in years. My Mom has brown which both my brother and I inherited.))
    Lamia thought for a moment and then shook her head, coming up with a blank slate in terms of what-doings. This was going to be a boring day. She took the fish from Lazera and speared it through. "I have no idea.. I was hoping you might have an idea or two." she frowned and shook her head, giving a shrug of her shoulders. She started a gentle fire in her hands with some of her magic and started roasting the fish.
    "Magic sure can come in handy.." she chuckled.
    Shiasia yawned again. Her tail twitching occasionally, wavering ever so slowly. Then it came to rest in her lap. Unfortunately for her, fatigue got the best of her and she nodded off into sleep, her head slumped forward.
    Jhyiskitches looke over at Tim with a rather agitated look. "Are we almost done here?" he asked calmly, also crossing his arms
    +++++++++++++++++
    Zulgahr's pulse ceased and he gave a final breath. Dead. Fallen. He had finally died after so many years. His body lay there, motionless, but relaxed.
    Shantotto stepped over to the Iksar again and used her cane to gently flip the man over. She put the tip to his chest and she quirked her brow. "Definitely not your finest hour, was it, my scaly friend? Looks like we won't be seeing any more of you, weak, worthless pup you.. Unless perhaps some Necromancer came along and "revived" you, hm?" she asked softly
    .
    "Wouldn't want that to happen, now would we?" she seemed to ask. She waved her hands in an arcane gesture and the now corpse began to burn due to Rays of Disintegration. Shantotto watched nonchalantly, looking up occasionally at Herrigan and Brienae.
    +++++++++++++++++
    Stinsmia nodded and picked up a card from the pile. Remembering the rules, she waited for her mother to take her turn.
    ((No idea why my post seems comparatively short suddenly o_O))
    Ross stood and approached. "May I see?"
    Alderman looked to the Squire and then Gregor. "If there is anything you need, you know that the Qeynos Guard is always willing to provide for their own."
    ***
    Bella filled the pot with soapy water and left it to soak in the sink. She found butter, flour and salt and began to make a dough, sprinkling cold water over the mix.
    Rothgut bit his lip and continued to look over the letters.
    Aloysiius grinned at the children and continued. "The youngest son had heard that money won through sin only leaves with sorrow, so he packed his fortune up and went into the mountains. There he found a pool and decided to put the fortune through a water-trial. He tossed the entire fortune in, thinking that the money earned through dishonest means would sink to the bottom and the money earned honestly would float to the top."
    ***
    The Koada'dal all looked at one another. Llew responded through the stone, glad that Kyriu understood. 'Could you, please?' Out loud she said: "I am Ain'Mur's daughter, Llewenayah Redmantle."
    "And you have become a Mage?" The female asked.
    "An Illusionist, yes."
    One of the other mages looked from Llew to Kyriu. "You said that your mother was Feir'dal? Are the two of you half-sisters?"
    There was a knock on the door and Rene went to it. She opened it and found another Ratonga there in armour of the Qeynos Guard. "You are Miss. Cragmure's brother?"
    "Yes, ma'am, I am."
    "Please, come in."
    ***
    Padparadisch huffed. He would not admit that she was right. He had missed having an audience and the attention that came from his stagework.
    The sailors all waved to Qeynos as they set off.
    ***
    Herrigan looked to Norna. "Check on them." He nodded to the others and then went over to where the body burned. "Was he the Coercer?"
    Norna knelt by Tari. "Are you alright, Miss?"
    Ginnar had dozed off. He started and looked at Carl. "Hmm? Wha' were tha'?"
    Ziqua nodded. Underneath the robe thin lines could be seen through the fur.
    Gregor nodded “Of course,” he answered although in his mind he was questioning how long had the guard looked? Had they looked for them?
    Elena and Priestess Anna walked upstairs.
    The acolyte appeared pale. Her eyes remained the golden color of a wolf.
    Tygarr looked around him and then at Elena “You filthy beast!” he shouted.
    Anna glared at him “From what I have heard sir you have a lot of nerve calling a child chosen by Nature a filthy beast.”
    Tygarr ignored the priestess as he pulled out a throwing dagger “I won't become like you! I'll prove that wretched vision wrong!” he threw the dagger towards Elena.
    The dagger caught the girl in the chest mere inches from her heart. Elena screamed as she pulled the dagger out. The scream became a howl as she began to transform. Her human mind surrendered to the feral wolf who was angered that someone had hurt her vulnerable human side.
    Tygarr swallowed “I demand you lock up this wretched beast now!”
    The werewolf lunged at the Kerra.
    ~~~~~
    Canty continued cutting the berries although they seemed to be becoming more crushed.
    Zach sighed “Yeah, almost,”
    “He losts alls of its?” Limberger asked “That's was stupids,”
    The six other children shushed him again.
    Calarys shook her head “Limby comes sits withs mes and listens,” she suggested.
    Limberger contemplated his mother's request before standing up and climbing into his mother's lap. “This is Limberger, he's mys eldest.” she told Shiasia.
    Colby walked over to Jyiskitches “You looks familiars,” he said.
    ~~~~~
    Kyriu blinked “No we're not related... well not closely anyway... we think we might be related distantly... I am Kyriu Flamefist daughter of Jacob Flamefist and Mesena Windstaff Flamefist.” she bowed to the mages. She concentrated on the stone. After a few minutes she told Llew through the stone “Tetri says she's willing to talk to Bloomblight if it means helping Aly. She wants to know where we want to meet her.”
    Alyerra sighed “Before it gets asked, I was half-Tier'dal. My mother is Senriala... she dropped her surname before I was born.” she shrugged “No idea who my father was... other than a drunk blonde with blue eyes.” she blinked her own blue eyes.
    ~~~~
    Xia leaned over the side. She waved with the other sailors but her attention was on the old woman standing on the dock.
    Bettana smiled as she watched the ship depart. She waved a farewell. She frowned as she saw a few early signs on her daughter's face of seasickness. “Oh Tunare let her adapt her sea legs,” she whispered.
    The Freeblood wretched.
    ~~~~
    Brienae nodded “He was,” he looked at the Halfling “Thank you for your help madame, but I think it might have been a bit much...” she sighed as she glanced at the shivering Arasai.
    Even though the coercer was dead his effects still lingered somewhat “I want my Daddy...” Tari mumbled. “They wouldn't let me save him...:”
    Brienae swallowed as she glided closer to her distant cousin“Tari,” she whispered “It's alright,” as much as Brienae despised Arasai particularly her distant cousin she couldn't help but feel some pity. She sighed as she touched Tari's back between her wings.
    Tari stopped shivering and uncurled pulling out her daggers. She struck at the Fae.
    Brienae blocked the attack with her sai “Tari focus what ever he put into your head it's not real!”
    Tari lowered her sai as her mind cleared. She scanned the area and swallowed when she saw the Barbarian in Qeynos Armor. She cursed in Thexian. As she stood next to Brienae there were differences which became obvious between the two aside from Tari's purple skin her wings were much thicker than Brienae's. “This doesn't look good...” she sheathed her daggers. “Tell ya what... maybe I should just go home and all of y'all can forget I was here... sound good?”
    “What are you doing here in the first place Tari?” Brienae asked.
    “You wouldn't believe me if I told ya Cuz,”
    The High-Elf had begun to rock back and forth. He only seemed able to say one thing “I'm Koada'dal, I'm Koada'dal,” over and over.
    ~~~~
    Relane looked at her cards “Let me see do you have a King?” she asked.
    ~~~~
    Carl rolled his eyes “I was wondering if you could do anything to help my brother. I was wondering if you could heal him so he can speak again.” he sighed “Or if it's been too long,”
    Sam stirred in his sleep.
    ~~~~
    Lazera nodded. She looked at the sky and sighed “At least I know you haven't abandoned me,” she whispered to the wind. “I think I found something for us to do. Follow me.” she stood up and began heading towards the mountains. She stopped to wait for the Ratonga to catch up.

    Lamia quirked her brow at what Lazera had said, but thought nothing of it, maybe thinking that the Freeblood was talking to herself. She looked up and nodded. She wondered what Lazera had in mind, but didn't voice her thoughts. She followed after the vampire. She then took a bite out of the fish.
    +++++++++++++++++
    Shiasia snored just barely and she mumbled in her sleep. Then she suddenly woke up as she heard Calarys speaking. She blinked and nodded, looking down at the young boy in the other Ratonga's lap.

    "Nice to meet you Limberger." she said with a smile. "How olds is yous?" she asked curiously. Jhyiskitches had stepped back inside the tavern for a moment when Colby had approached. He quirked his brow. "Hello there." he said with an acknowledging nod. He took a sparing glance over Colby examining him for just the briefest of moments.

    "Hm.. Yous look familiar toos.. But I don'ts remember where I have seens you.." he gave a gentle shrug of his shoulders. His Ratongan accent was certainly there, but by the way his speech was, it was terribly subtle.
    +++++++++++++++++
    Shantotto merely snickered and shook her head. "My dear, it had to be done that way, otherwise either a priest or worse, a Necromancer could bring him back.." she said matter-of-factly. She quirked her brow at the Arasai, but shoved away her thoughts on Tari's statements.

    She rolled her eyes and walked over to the High-Elf. She gently tapped him on the head with her staff. "For Erollissi's sake boy! Please pull yourself together.. I wouldn't think that such a haute young man like you be reduced to.. to this!" she exasperated. Then she backed away.

    She reached behind her and unzipped two slits on the back of her gown, out of which a pair of pegasus wings emerged. She took a jump and the wings started flapping slowly, causing her to hover. "I suppose I should go now.. " she said, starting to both back away very slowly, and rise further above the ground. She was lucky the long white gown she was wearing hadn't caused her any trouble in rising off the ground; she had expected the gown to get caught on the feathers or something.*

    Vhyrenia and Vaska's house was actually quite near the guardhouse so they could have easily heard the commotion. If they weren't asleep that is. But then Vhyrenia woke up because of it and she rubbed her eyes. Despite having woken up from the nap she remained purring.
    "What's going on out therrrre..?" she muttered. She had forgotten that she was dressed in a nightgown and she stepped outside the house to see what the hubbub was about. Her mind and body were groggy and even though she saw what was happening, she couldn't understand it, let alone process it.

    ((*Gonna try and write out Shantotto's story soon, including about how she got the wings.. Though how to translate Final Fantasy to EQ2 terminology.. Hrm..))

    Ross looked, gently pulling the girl's robes from her back. Her hand on the back of the chair tightened until her knuckles were white as she saw the scars. "Do you know if Ms. Mazsra ever went to the authorities or tried to put their attention on what your Uncle was doing? Did she ever bring you to a Guardhouse or ask you to file charges?"
    Without thinking Alderman lunged, not even having time to draw his sword, but as he tried to knock the Kerra out of the way his foot caught on a chair and he tumbled to the floor.

    Bella looked over at the berries. "Oh! Heres." She picked up a knife and a berry. "Holds the berry likes this ands the knifes likes this. You's needs to keeps you's fingers ins, likes this ands make the slices straight downs. Always follow throughs."
    Aloysiius leaned in conspiringly. "Now then. When he tossed the coins in they all sank to the bottom of the pool, save for a single." He held his hands out to show that they were empty. "Copper." He reached out to Fayberry's ear. "Coin." With a flick he seemingly pulled a copper coin from the girl's ear and grinned widely.

    Llew quietly sighed with relief and replied through the stone. 'Perhaps it is best if she met us here and went with us.'
    A couple of the Koada'dal twitched at the mention of Teir'dal, but before anyone could say a thing Rene came back in. "Mr. Cragmure is here."
    Charlemin bowed to the room and turned to Llew. "Ratatoska said that you needed my help?"
    Llew nodded. "Can you look at Alyerra's wound. It is...a strange mix of divine and necromantic energies and we wanted to know if there was anything you can do before we..." She paused. "Before we had to try what we did for Al."
    Charlemin nodded and turned to Alyerra. "May I?"
    ***
    Padparadisch rolled his eyes. "Better than a tone-deaf audience is a seasick accompanist."
    Del stood at the wheel, a map laid out at her feet and held down with stones. She took a deep breath. It felt good to be back out at sea without too much of a hurry.
    ***
    Herrigan shook his head as the halfling flew away. "This day..." His thought trailed off. "Wait, aren't you with the Protectors of Growth?" He asked Tari.
    Norna tried to grab the staff, but missed. "Oy! Don't smack him on the head!" She snapped before turning back to the Koada'dal. "He doesn't need a concussion on top of this." She placed her hands out, on either side of the Koada'dal's head, but not touching. She began to cast Epiphany to clear his head.
    ***
    "Oh?" Ginnar asked, rubbing his eye. "Oh! Yes! Uh...'Ow long ago were it?"

    ((Just toured the new Galleon house. I'll have to save up to get Del one and build her a proper Lurln'ley, it's much bigger than the little sloop-of-war I was picturing for Del, but I can work with it.))

    The kitten shook her head. “Mazserrra said I sh-should h-have, b-but I was too scarrred...”
    Tygarr raised his arm to shield his throat. He screamed as the wolf's teeth sank into the arm.
    “Elena!” Priestess Anna shouted. “Elena Mune`va,”
    The wolf released the kerra's bloodied arm and turned to look at the priestess who had called her. She whimpered and stepped away. She backed into a corner and continued to whimper.
    “Filthy beast!” Tygarr shouted.
    Mordedana dashed over to Captain Alederman and offered a gauntlet-ed hand to help him up. “Are you alright sssir?” she asked.
    ~~~~~
    Canty nodded and tried to mimic the motion.
    Zach sighed “Might be nice to have better cooking around our place...”
    The boys gasped and turned to look at their sister. One of the boys leaned over and folded his sister's ear.
    Fayberry shook her head and scooted away “Hows dids yous dos thats?” she asked.
    Limberger smiled “I's fours,” he held up three fingers,”
    Calarys whispered in his ear.
    The young boy swallowed and added a finger so he was holding up four.
    Tetriemmy sighed “I need to go,” she stood and headed towards the door.
    “Tetri is something wrong?”
    “No,” Tetri answered.
    Senri sighed “Normally when you say you have to go somewhere it means one of your cubs is in trouble. One of your Cubs is my daughter and another one is my adopted niece.”
    Tetriemmy swallowed unsure how to answer the Tier-dal
    Senri stood and walked over to the bar and grabbed her cloak. “Shiasia I'm leaving you in charge.” she said as she pulled the cloak around her “And Tetri, I'm coming with you.” her purple eyes sent a glare to the Ratonga which said clearly she was not changing her mind.
    Tetri sighed and clutched the stone. After a few minutes she nodded and she and Senri walked outside.
    “Colby Desmens,” Colby said as he extended a paw.
    ~~~~
    Kyriu's face paled as she informed Llew through the stone “This could get very interesting... Aunt Senri is coming with Tetri... somehow she has the idea that something is wrong with her daughter. Tetri suspects motherly intuition. So brace yourself this could be fun.”
    Alyerra nodded she lowered her voice and spoke in Ratonga so hopefully only the Paladin could understand her: “Please tells mes yous cans dos somethings... I can'ts bears to bes ins the middles of a groups of mages agains...”
    ~~~~
    Xia was unable to speak as she vomited over the side. Of course given her diet it was it wasn't pretty. After she finished she sat on the deck and held her knees. She felt a bit better but she was covered in blood. Her chipper attitude seemed to have vanished in an instant. “Sorry,” Xia whispered
    ~~~~
    “Oh yes! Of course I am,” Tari answered.
    Brienae shook her head “Oh yes because the Protectors of Growth have grown so lax in their recruitment they'll take anyone including the most vile of Brigands!” her wings fluttered in an angry frenzy
    Tari sighed and shook her head “Cuz we've been through this... I ain't vile or evil, I'm on which ever side pays more...” she paused “Sayin this in front of a Qeynos guard suddenly doesn't seem like a good idea...”
    The sergeant blinked “Where am I? Lady De'Esalcoda, is she alright? Where is the prisoner?”
    ~~~~
    Carl swallowed “Thirty years,” he answered. “He hasn't been able to speak in thirty years.” he watched the man flip over in his sleep.
    ~~~~
    Lazerra paused. “We may not be needed. We'll rest a moment... um can you keep a secret?” she asked the Ratonga.
