    Lamia blinks and nods
    "O-Oh yes.. C-Coming!" she stutters, quickly skittering behind Brienae and following
    ===============
    Zulgahr groaned softly. He slightly shifted despite being knocked out.
    Suddenly a bunch of his slaving tools fell out of his pack as it fell to the side; Enchanted collars, chain leashes, several whips and and a cluster of mysterious potions.
    One last thing as well, which was what he was known for; a branding iron, with the design of a snake crushing an arrow-pierced heart, fangs bared.
    Somebody obviously enjoyed his job. Maybe a little too much
    ===============
    Stinsmia had relatively calmed down, except for the occasional wary glance behind her to see if the dreaded Iksar was following.
    She walked quietly and slowly with her new father. She twitched her ears and turned her head at the mention of a Freeblood. She had no idea what they were.
    "Uhm.. D-Daddy.. D-Don't you have to go through some official documents to actually adopt though?" she asks quietly and curiously
    ================
    Shiasia's ears twitched towards Senriala. They then lowered nervously. She shivered
    "O-Okay.. I'll just.. t-try to minimize interaction.." she replied quietly, frowning. She pondered for a moment, looking at nothing and then to the high-chair.
    She stepped over to it and set her son in gently. She was about halfway across the room when Nazsuss started squeaking in protest and sniffling, pawing for his mother. She bit her lip and looked upwards, letting out a snicker.
    "Gods help me.." she giggled. She shook her head and gave a sigh of defeat, laughing and trudging over to her son. He gave a bubbly smile and giggled as his mother picked him back up
    "You win..!" she said with another laugh
    "I.. think I'll be keeping him on my back." she said with a soft smile.
    =================
    Jhyiskitches frowned and nodded
    "Good idea.." he replied. He sniffed the air and licked his lips
    "Kelethin toast.." he whispered dreamily, smiling. He had tasted it before but under a different name. But he knew it when he smelled it.
    When the basket was set down, he tentatively reached his hand in and took some, nibbling hungrily
    "It's been too long, my toasty friend. Oh how sweet you tease my tastebuds.." he said wistfully. He had a terrible weakness for Kelethin toast. Almost bad enough to a fault.
    =================
    Ramoana blinked and sighed softly. She yawned again and soon trudged back to her own apartment, sister in tow. She shook her head
    "Too tired to even bothering finding out.." she said sleepily, frowning and stepped back inside, helping her sister back into bed. Then Ramoana went to her own and pulled the covers back over herself.
    **
    =================
    Vhyrenia and Vaska both woke up in each others arms, incredibly close together. She nuzzled her husband affectionately and nipped his previously high-elven ears. He blushed and gave a quiet gasp.
    "Now's not the time.." he whispered hoarsely. He sighed in relief when the Kerra stopped and soon they both got up from the bed, both exchanging pajamas for clothes suitable for going out to the city.
    They both left the house, female Kerra clutching close to male Freeblood.
    (( **I was reading over the scene that included Rothgut. I was and still am unsure if I should respond to Rothgut's push to the wall, as both Ramoana and Adhara are female Ratongas. As are Calarys and Canty.
    Could one of you please be so kind as to clarify to me if he pushed on Ramoana and her sister? Or Calarys and Canty? ))

    Ross looked away as the Freeblood fed. She was not going to get used to seeing that.
    "Everything if fine, Lieutenant!" She called through the door.
    "Aye, Captain!" Herrigan called back. He glanced at Gregor and followed his gaze. "Oh, I think we forgot about them."
    Slyvie stood and opened a desk drawer. She pulled out a jar painted with fae flowers and trumpet vines and opened it. She pulled out a large cookie speckled with chocolate chips. "Here you go." She offered it to the girl.
    ***
    Llew frowned and managed to find her way to the Tavern. She was glad that she was getting to know her way around a little better. She approached the door. Unsure of whether or not the Tainted Eagle was open or not she decided to knock, knowing that it also served as a residence.
    ***
    Ginnar followed Tim, nodding to the others as he passed. "G'mornin'!"
    ***
    Vani moved quickly, but not quick enough. The staff hit her in the face and she growled, sparks flying from her eyes as she felt anger welling up. She lunged at Kyriu with her bare hands outstretched towards the other's neck.
    K'Niris managed to dodge a strike, swinging his sword at the old Ratonga who had just appeared.
    Rothgut began to push Canty and her aunt towards the bedroom where the little ones slept. Danlore tried to twist himself out of the bonds, but found that he could not. Charlemin began to rub at the ropes with the edge of his backplate of armour, but the rolled edge did not work well.
    ***
    Grumblefoot and Isatis fell in line with Brienae and Lamia.
    "Ay do 'ope tha' Llew gits 'erself some proper rest soon. She bin pushin' 'erself ter much lately an' those lil' naps she's managed ain' enough." Grumblefoot commented, watching his niece hurry off.
    ((It was Canty and Calarys that he pushed.))

    Calish sighed as the Paladin turned away. “Enavra,” he whispered.
    Telsi lifted her mouth from his shoulder. Her eyes flickered between white and red. She swallowed while her eyes were red and managed to turn her back “Calish I don't...” her eyes flashed back to white.
    “We came here to find help. Neriak and Freeport either wanted to destroy her or use her,” Calish explained. “Think you could heal that?” he asked nodding towards his bleeding shoulder “It's harder for her to fight when the scent is so fresh.”
    Ziqua accepted the cookie and took a small bite. “Th-thank you,” she whispered.
    Maheera sniffed at the cookie and growled “Don't I get a treat?” she asked Ziqua.
    “D-do you have anything for Maheera?” the young Kerra asked.
    Gregor quirked an eyebrow “We forgot about them?” he approached the trembling teen “I don't recall ever having people sleep in here.... are we that full in the barracks?”
    “Get away from me!” Elena screamed as the Freeblood Paladin approached her. Her eyes remained a lupine yellow.
    Priestess Anna woke up upon hearing the girl scream “Elena, it's alright.” she sighed.
    Vonelix woke up and stretched. He studied his cell mate for a moment “I have a way to escape,” he told the Halfling as pulled a silver whistle from his pocket “We'll have to wait till tonight, but if you're with me, well I could use a new assistant.” the Gnome smiled.
    ~~~~~
    Senri nodded and opened the door “Ah Llew welcome back. Come on in” she smiled. She stepped back allowing the Half-Elf to enter.
    The scent of the Kelethin toast still filled the tavern. “Shiasia, this is Llew Redmantle, she has been a great help in my illness.” she sighed. “Shiasia and Nazzuss are staying with me for awhile. We have a lot in common, I just hope I can help her as much as Mesena helped me.”
    ~~~~~
    “Good Morning” Ethan and Zach answered. They quirked eyebrows at the Ratonga talking to his food.
    “Would you like us to leave you two alone?” Ethan asked as he reached in and took out a piece for himself.
    Tim stepped into the room as Sam opened his eyes. “So you're Samuel?” Tim asked.
    Sam nodded.
    “Timothy,” Tim stated “I grew up hearing about you.” he sighed “How is he?” he asked nodding towards Carl.
    Sam sighed and began signing. At this point he doubted anyone understood but he was tired and therefore could not seem to use his telepathy unaided “I'm afraid he's connected to other forces. Those need to be dealt with or he's going to be consumed.”
    Tim swallowed as he waited for Ginnar to catch up “Y-you can't speak.” he bit his lip “Is there anything we can do?”
    Sam blinked and signed again “You can understand me?”
    Tim nodded “I studied a few languages. Norrathian Sign Language just appeared interesting”
    Sam smiled “We can delay it through blessings and maybe chronomagic but only for so long.”
    “You said consumed, you mean he's going to die?”
    Sam shook his head and signed again “No, the Darkness will consume him, he won't die, it'll be worse.”
    ~~~~~~~
    Kyriu took advantage of having both hands free and whirled her staff to jab her assailant in the stomach.
    Tetri raised her buckler to block the sword strike. She cast Regrowth on Kyriu healing her neck in a burst of Autumn leaves.
    Calarys ran into her children's room.
    Canty tried to push back at Rothgut “I saids I was sorrys...” she whimpered “I cans helps...” the teen Ratonga looked at her aunt who was now swarmed with seven tiny Ratongas all wanting comfort from their mother “Please lets mes helps... I'ms sorrys.”
    ~~~~~
    Brienae stopped to wait for the others to catch up. She hated to admit it but she was tired herself. The slow beat of her wings she knew would show that at least to any Fae. She sighed there was no time to rest. What day was it?
    ~~~~~~
    The High-Elf picked up all of the items and handed them to the clerk.
    “What are you doing in there Seargent?” The Fae Captain asked as he glided in.
    “He keeps waking up and trying to cast sir.” The Seargent answered.
    The Fae sighed “Is our spell security not working?”
    “It is not sir,”
    “Get me some paper,” the captain ordered. He sighed “I do hate doing this, but we need the help of the Outsiders. Find me the name of a Qeynos Captain. Maybe we can arrange a transfer, because we can't have someone in there all day.”
    The Clerk nodded and started rummaging through papers.
    ~~~~~
    “Yes,” Galabrin answered “But they will forgive me if I want to make sure you are safe first.” he opened the door of one of the acrons.
    “Galabrin?” came a female voice “You're home early.” his wife stepped into view.
    “Relane I would like you to meet Stimsia, our new daughter.”
    Relane smiled exposing her fangs “Oh, welcome. Have you had breakfast yet?” she asked.

    Lamia caught up with Brienae and stood behind, patiently waiting. She forgot where they were going.. Mansion of Fallen.. Heroes was it? She pondered..
    ===========
    Zulgahr groaned, but remained unconscious, his claws scraping against the ground of the acorn.
    ===========
    Stinsmia nodded in understanding, following slowly into the acorn. When the Freeblood came into view, she waved nervously
    "H-Hello m-mama.." she stuttered, part of her head buried in Galabrin's side. She was rather unsure of what to do. This all felt somewhat new to her.
    ===========
    Shiasia's ears stood lowered for a moment. She perked her ears at Senriala. She gave a friendly nod and weak smile to Llew in acknowledgement.
    "Hello miss Llew.." she said nervously. She kept her son close and started looking through her satchel, looking for a possible cloth she could use to tie into something to carry Nazsuss with
    ===========
    Jhyskitches froze mid-chew, ears twitching.
    He blushes in embarassment
    "D.. Did I just say that out loud?" he says nervously, blinking. He looked over at Ethan and Zach and shook his head
    "Don't mind me.. I'm just a crazed Ratonga talking to his food!" he said with a laugh. He coughed a moment and cleared his throat
    "Sorry.. Kelethin toast brought back some fond memories of back home.." he mumbled, avoiding eye contact
    ===========
    Vaska and his kerran wife wandered off, hand in hand, the kerra's tail twitching and swaying. "I.. Nevermind.. " Vhyrenia said with a shrug

    Ross nodded, making her way around the desk she placed her hands on the shoulder. A warm light spread from her hands and disapaited. She removed them to check.
    Sylvie pursed her lips as she thought. "D-do tigers eat cookies? Well, anyway. We'll have to get you a proper breakfast, so we can go down to the kitchens or I could go bring something up." She pondered if she should mention the treats for the Guard dogs, but was worried that it would offend the warder.
    "I'm very sorry that we left you ladies out here. We should have had you moved into the barracks." Herrigan's face tinged red.
    Brique pulled a coin from his pocket and played with it. "I dunno. What are you in for?"
    ***
    Llew bowed. "It is a pleasure to meet you." She turned from the Ratonga and glanced around, her eyes lingering on the door to the lounge. "Is Aleteriq still sleeping?"
    ***
    Ginnar caught up and stopped beside Tim. He frowned, having only caught '...going to die?' as he approached.
    "Be there anythin' Ay kin do?"
    ***
    The staff caught Vani in her bare gut. She stumbled back, clutching her abdomen. She growled and snatched a sword from one of the Militiamen who had fallen to the lightening, swinging it wildly at the Half-elf. In her rage the sword cut a swathe across another Militiaman's arm and face, causing him to stumble into Rothgut in the doorway to the other room.
    The old Ratonga pushed the man to the floor and grabbed Canty. "You's helps by keeping thems safes." He nodded towards the children.
    "Pa!" Charlemin called. "Untie us!"

    “Thank you,” Calish said as he turned his head to see the gash completely gone.
    “Still think we don't need an escort?” Telsi whispered.
    Calish sighed “You win.” he walked over and embraced the Freeblood “Come to think of it we both could use some new clothes.”
    “True. We can take care of that after we are legally citizens.” Telsi answered “I just have one request,” she turned to Ross as she spoke “No one like Cooper, I think it was. If they're supposed to keep us safe... I don't need to be told what I am... they won't be safe...”
    “Also might want to start thinking about when and where we want to tie the knot.” Calish started noticing the sublte signs again.
    Telsi giggled “Well we need time to meet people and find the best spot.”
    Calish smiled as he succeeded in the distraction. He had also missed the sound of her laughter.
    Ziqua broke off a small piece of her cookie and offered it to Maheera.
    “Something tells me that I shouldn't.” Maheera answered.
    Ziqua sighed “I-is uncle Tygarr out there?”
    Elena calmed a little “I don't think that would have been such a good idea.” she whispered.
    Anna nodded “It's alright sir. I've had worse accommodations.”
    Vonelix smiled “A misunderstanding, I can assure you. I was helping a girl with a very unique medical condition and rather than be grateful for the help the mutt turns me in for illegal experimentation and forcing her to sign a spell contract. I did not force her to sign.” he shrugged “Any way this can help us escape.” he sighed “But it won't work until tonight.”
    ~~~~~
    “Oh, he went home with your grandfather.” Senri said. She turned to Shiasia “If you would feel more comfortable you can work in the kitchen preparing things. I'd like you to go at your own pace.”
    Alyerra walked in and closed the door.
    “Aly you look like you saw a ghost.” Senri said as she looked at her daughter's wide eyes.
    “Something like that.” Aly responded “Hi Llew,” she turned back to her mother “I meant to ask where's little Al?”
    Senri sighed “I was just telling Llew that he went home with their grandfather.”
    Aly nodded “Mind if I go with you? I'd like to see how he's doing.”
    ~~~~~~
    Zach grabbed a piece and sat on a mat on the floor.
    “No worries, do you do that often?” Ethan asked “I might get used to that. I mean no offense it's just nice to not be the only humor around here.”
    Tim turned “This is Ginnar, he's a Paladin. This is my brother Samuel.”
    Sam stood and bowed to the dwarf.
    “He said a blessing would help.” Tim continued. He swallowed realizing that Ginnar had probably not understood what Sam had spoken “He also said as you were coming in that the Darkness within him is trying to consume him. He said that's worse than death.”
    Sam nodded and signed “My apologies. I lost my tongue some years ago and it makes it impossible to speak as most people do.”
    Tim winced before translating the hand signals.
    ~~~~~
    Kyriu whirled her staff in an attempt to block the frenzied sword but she did receive a few cuts as it was impossible to predict the swings.
    Tetriemmy growled and cast Ring of Fire. Flames spread across the floor of the main room only burning the feet of her enemies. She slashed her whip at the knees of K'niris.
    Canty bit her lip.
    “Canty gets yours tails overs heres. Yous thinks my sisters dieds sos yous coulds throws aways yours lifes?” Calarys called “Nos, yous ares stills a pinky and we can'ts haves yous gettings injured yous won'ts be ables to dances.”
    ~~~~
    Brienae began gliding again. She stopped to wait in front of the House of Falling Stars. “This is it,” she said “The House of Falling Stars.” she sighed If they weren't willing to help then she was at a loss.
    ~~~~~
    The clerk pulled out a piece of paper “Here's one sir, Captain Ross Grayhaze,”
    The Fae Captain nodded and began writing a letter to Captain Grayhaze “Dear fellow Captain, I am Captain Yenter Wispwing of Kelethin. It seems that our magical security is broken and we have a prisoner who keeps trying to cast. I was wondering if perhaps your prison could hold this prisoner until such time as we have our security working. At this time we have a sergeant poised to knock him out when he wakes. If need be I would be willing to exchange a non-magical prisoner of your's just for the time being. Thank you for your assistance Captain Yenter Wispwing.” he placed the letter in the mailbox.
    The sergeant watched the Iksar closely. He determined that indeed the prisoner was still unconscious but he held his sword ready in case he woke up.
    ~~~~
    “Hello dear.” Relane answered. She grinned again exposing her fangs. “Come with me into the kitchen. You must be starving. I'll cook anything that strikes your fancy.”
    Galabrin smiled. They had been wanting kids for a long time but with Relane being technically dead that had seemed impossible. He admired his wife even though she could not eat food herself she enjoyed cooking for others.

    Lamia followed Brienae for a while until they reached the Falling Star building. She glanced at it for a moment before nodding
    "Hehe, frankly.. The House of Falling Stars sounds like it might be a tavern name." she mused with a snicker
    "What exactly does this House of Falling Stars comprise of? Like mages, or priests?" she asked curiously.
    =================
    Zulgahr groaned again. His eyes became half opened and he raised his head, turning each direction to see his surroundings.
    "Ugh my head... Jusssst... going to lay here for the moment.." the Iksar mumbled, grunting and letting his head fall to the ground. He gave a sigh of discomfort.
    =================
    Stinsmia smiled back at Relane shyly, her tail raising up from its depressed droop and starting to sway, her outlook on her life starting to improve.
    "Y-Yes m-mama I am.." she stuttered, nodding and quietly following after the Freeblood.
    "M-Master did his "best" to k-keep me s-starved and m-mostly d-deprived of food for s-several y-years s-so t-that I'd b-be weak, t-tired and c-compliant.." the Ratonga said with a whimper.
    "U-Uhm.. C-Can I have a lion sandwich?"
    Her body had suffered for it too, as she had become rather thin and fragile over the course of said years.
    =================
    Shiasia chuckled weakly and shook her head in response to Senri
    "I've only experience in tailoring, Senrialas. I'd most likely burn to a crisp even pudding!" she said with a laugh and smile. She felt around in her pack a bit more whilst holding her son in one arm.
    "There we are.. Finally found it.." she muttered, pulling out a rather elaborately designed pouch. Perfectly sized to fit Nazsuss
    "Hehe, I actually worked on this thing whilst I was hostage to Rotwhisker. Started on it the moment I founds I's was withs child.." she muttered, sighing and adjusting the small straps. Once it was adjusted, she put it back in her pack for later use.
    She murmured quiet words to Nazsuss.
    "If he even cared or does care.. Your father might be eager to meet you.."
    Alucard's brow furrowed and he frowned.
    "This Rotwhisker.. He.. kept you captive in his house?" he asked, his frown turning into a scowl. The Ratongan mother merely nodded with a soft shudder
    =================
    Jhyiskitches chuckles and shakes his head
    "No, hehe not really all that often. Typically only do that kind of thing when I eat a food that I really like, but haven't had in a long time." he responded with a laugh.
    " 'Scuses mes a moments.." he said, holding up a finger and skittering over to a different room and closing the door. Metal clanked to the floor and then there was the shuffling of cloth.
    He came out of the room and scuttled back to where Ethan and Zach were. He was now in just a plain burlap robe. He had crammed his armour into his pack.
    "I had just remembered that I had a robe stuffed in here. Wanted to get out of the armour and into something more comfortable.." he explained.
    "Plus the fact that I don't think it'd be a good idea to be running around wearing blood-spattered armour.." he said wryly.
    =================
    The kerra yawned.
    After a few hours, she and her husband came back home. They were both a bit exhausted. And Vhyrenia was drunk. Apparently she had a bit too much wine.. Byt Vaska, being undead, wasn't exactly affected
    "Huh.. Hic.. Le's.. Jus' get in bed.." the kerra said. The Freeblood had her arm hoisted over his shoulder as he carried his inebriated wife into the bed. He grunted and fell in with her.
    "Bah.. Sleep.." he muttered, pulling the covers over his wife and then going out to the basement for quiet meditation. Vhyrenia snored.

    Ross nodded. "Of course. You have my deepest apologies for Cooper's actions." She glanced at the door. "My sister, Sylvie can escourt you. I will go get her." She walked towards the door and opened it. She felt a slight tug in the back of her mind as the magic of the Norrathian post service told her that she had a letter.
    Sylvie frowned. She did not know. "Would you feel safer with me or staying here with your kitt-um, Warder?"
    Herrigan still felt embarressed. He frowned, running through his head everything that needed done still. There seemed an awful lot of statements to take and reports to file. "Well, if you don't mind doing it so early in the morning, can I ask you to fill out a written statement? I can ask Brique to make you some breakfast."
    He turned as some Guards began to file out of both barracks, dressed already in armour and heading towards the kitchens for breakfast before their shifts began.
    Nerry continued playing with the coin. "Well...I dunno...Is there any fun in it?"
    ***
    Llew nodded to Aly. "Not at all, I think I might be more comfortable with someone else there. My temper has been getting the best of me lately." She shook her head. "And our Grandfather knows how to bring that out on my good-tempered days." She bowed to Senri in thanks and opened the door, slipping back out. She took some deep breaths of cool morning air.
    ***
    Aleteriq stirred. He was warm and someone held him. He could smell flowers as he opened his eyes. At first he thought he saw his mother, leaning against the head board with an arm around him as she slept, but it was not her. He nuzzled up against the lady though, remembering who it was and lay there quietly for a bit before he heard soft footsteps in the hall. He looked up as Ratatoska opened the door quietly.
    "Mornin's." She whispered, quietly padding around a the Squire, who was dozing in the chair again.
    ***
    Ginnar returned the bow. "Ay kin offer prayers an' blessin' ter 'im. If we 'ave ter we kin git more Paladins in 'ere ter aid though. Let's see 'ow one blessin' affects 'im firs' though." He made his way to the man's side and held his hands over his chest. The old Dwarf began to chant the warm light limning him hands.
    ***
    Vani did not even notice the fire burning her bare feet she was in such a rage. She saw an opening and swung for it, but her swing was too wild and the sword bit into the wooden frame of the wall. The Teir'dal growled as she tried to free the weapon.
    Rothgut gave Canty one final push and dashed through the fighting to his son, taking a dagger from Charlemin's belt and cutting the ropes carefully before turning to Danlore.
    ***
    "The House is Kelethin's order of Priests, not a tavern." Isatis told the Ratonga.
    Grumblefoot chuckled. "Ay dunno, some o' th' drinkin' contests Ay've 'ad wit' th' other priests..."
  9. ARCHIVED-lisemanta Guest

    Telsi nodded.
    "I'm ready to leave," Calish said.
    Ziqua pondered the question "D-does Maheera have t-to stay herrre or c-can she go with me t-to get brrreakfast?"
    Elena nodded "Sure and then maybe I can go home...." She glanced at Anna "You know then... what about the others?"
    Anna sighed "I'm afraid all the Priests know and it has been decided that..."
    "I'm too dangerous to be around the sick and injured,"
    Anna nodded. "Elena..."
    "I just wanted to be normal!" Elena shouted.
    Vonelix smiled "Oh there is a lot of fun in it. When I blow this whistle it will cause chaos. That is only the beginning."
    Mordedana woke up in the barracks. She groaned as she looked at the pile that was her armor. It occurred to her that she had no clothing save the armor she had been wearing and that needed to be gotten rid of. "Oh great," she muttered "Now what am I going to do?" her stomach told her she was hungry, but she was in no way decent to go downstairs. She fell back on the pillow.
    ~~~~~~
    Alyerra nodded "Not a problem I grew up with two Flamefists. Around here we have a saying: Hair of flame, Fists of fire and a Fiery temper by these signs shall you know a Flamefist."
    Senri nodded "Alright, but if you feel uncomfortable let me know," she told Shiasia. She turned to her daughter "From what I saw he did not much care for me" she sighed "I've only lived here twenty-two years, but you would think..." she shook her head.
    "I'll be fine Mom," Alyerra answered. She nodded to Llew "Ready when you are."
    Voices were heard behind them as two men walked into tavern. They acknowledged the ladies with a nod. "Ah we have a new lass it looks like Senri," said the human.
    Senriala smiled "Yes this is Shiasia,"
    "Pleasure to meet you Ms. I'm Neil and this is Tony," he said indicating his Half-Elf companion.
    ~~~~~
    "Better." Ethan commented to the Ratonga "Doesn't look so evil. We know a very good tailor. I know it's a robe but let's face it, it looks like a dress. Mizria could make you something more masculine looking."
    Sam quietly stood so he wasn't in the way.
    Carl slowly opened his eyes. He said nothing as he watched the glowing hands. He felt the pain lessen a little. He remained silent not wanting to disturb the Paladin.
    ~~~~~~
    Kyriu stepped back as the Tier'dal lunged for her. She watched as her adversary's sword became stuck in the wall. "There was something my Father used to tell me," she whispered as she stepped back towards the Tier'dal. She stepped close enough so the tier'dal would hear "When you let your anger control you, the only one you hurt is yourself,"
    Tetri took a moment to study the elf she had been fighting. He seemed frozen. She summoned Ball lightning. A ball of lightning appeared and struck random enemies. Fire and lightning formed around the Fury's paws "Now let me and my Cubs leave and never bother this family again. If you do, I will hear of it and I will defend my Cubs,"
    Canty sat stubbornly in a corner and pouted "I'm nots a littles pinkys." She watched her cousins cling to their mother. She sniffed as she pulled out a piece of paper and unfolded it. She held the parchment to herself "I wants my mama..." she whispered.
    ~~~~~
    Brienae sighed as she glided inside "Finara, I'd like you to meet Lamia."
    The Fae Priestess curtsied and her face paled as Brienae explained the situation in Faelie. "We'll see what we can do," she swallowed "Maybe we can start with some breakfast. Have you eaten yet?
    ~~~~~
    The sergeant sighed as he had decided to take no chances. He brought his sword hilt down on the Iksar's head again to make sure he was unconscious.
    Captain Yenter glided back and forth anxiously awaiting a response.
    ~~~~
    Relane raised an eyebrow at hearing Master.
    "I'll explain later," Galabrin said.
    "Sure anything you want sweetheart," Relane said as she headed into the kitchen. She found the lion meat in their tinkered cooling unit. "Would you like it fried or grilled?" she called.

    [[ Bah! Stupid Nicaragua flu! Brother brought it back from mission trip and got me infecred :p
    By the way... Is it just me, or do all three of us have a natural penchant for Ratongas, lol? ]]
    Lamia stepped into the House as well, looking around curiously. She turned her attention to the Fae priestess and curtsied as well. She frowned and shook her head to the priestess.
    "No ma'ams I's hasn'ts." She responded. As if confirming this, her stomach let out a low, rumbly growl.
    ==================
    Stinsmia gave a shiver and thought for a moment.
    "G-Grilled, p-please.." she called back to the Freeblood. Just a mere moment later and she buried her head in Gelabrin's side, crying quietly.
    "I-If t-this is a d-dream.." she stuttered. She took a shuddered breath. I-I d-don't want t-to w-wake up... Y-You and m-mama a-are so nice t-to me..." she finished weakly.
    ==================
    Zulgahr's eyes went wide as he looked up.
    "Wait a ssssec! I haven' do- Oof!" he protested, grunting and letting out a groan of pain as he slipped into unconsciousness again.
    The amount of blunt trauma inflicted on him caused his head to start bleeding slowly.
    ==================
    Shiasia peered up at Senriala and gave a slight frown.
    "Well you have to think for a moment.. Like Jhyiskitches, your attacker may have been drunk.. He might not have really known what he was doing.." the Ratonga said.
    She sniffed the air. Two people she didn't recognize or know have come. She turned to hear the voices. But when she saw they were both men, she let out a weak whimper. Her ears lowered and tail drooped in both fear and submission. She shied away and took a few steps back.
    "Hello.. N-Nice... M-Meet you.." she strained out, still somewhat frightened of males in general.
    ====================
    Jhyiskitches chuckled and nodded.
    "Yis, yis, it may look like a dress, but it's better than nothing!" he retorted. He straightened the fabric out and sighed and pulled out a small trinket, something akin to a link to a chain. He clutched it tightly for a moment before using a bit of magic to get rid of it.
    "Want to get sever all of my connections to my previous deed, lest it haunt me for the rest of my life.." he muttered

    Ross nodded. "I'll go get Sylvie." She slipped out the door, stopping by the postbox by the front desk and picking out a letter. As she turned and went towards the stairs she absently glanced at the front and slipped a finger under the flap. She read it and frowned, deciding to give Sylvie a little more time she grabbed some paper and ink, writing a reply.
    'Greetings Captain Wispwing,
    The Qeynos Guard has the facilities for your prisoner. I have in my custody an Iskar Shadowknight or an Iskar Mystic, neither of which I would perceive as having an issue with your wards. If you believe your facilities ill-equipped for either there is also a Halfling Illusionist who is in need of community service, and while he is a servent of Bristlebane his pranks are mostly harmless.
    -Captain Ross Grayhaze'
    She folded and sealed it with wax, stamping it with the crest of the Qeynos Guard and dropping it back into the postbox.
    "Well of course she can go with you. She's your Warder, isn't she supposed to stay by you?" Sylvie reached out to scratch Maheera between the ears.
    Herrigan winced at the outburst.
    Nerry pursed his lips and continued playing with the coin. "But is it the fun kind of chaos, I mean? The sort of thing that we can all laugh about afterwards over a pint? I can't do something mean spirited in Bristlebane's name, you know."
    Adeline peeked over her mother's sleeping form. Embla had chosen the corner bed and placed the child against the wall, using her own body as a barrier to the rest of the room. "Mornin'." Adeline said, rubbing her eye with a fat little balled fist. "Wha' are yer gonna do 'bou' wha'?"
    ***
    Llew frowned. "I-I think he lives..." She turned first one way and then another. "This way?" She said uncertainly. "Or was it...? Oh! What's the highest platform with housing on it?"
    ***
    Toska crept forward. "You's sleeps wells, yis?"
    The boy nodded. As he shifted out from under his grandmother's arms she stirred and woke. She smiled down at the child that look like her lost daughter and smoothed his hair, which was now a messy and loose braid. "We should comb your hair."
    ***
    Ginnar continued the prayer. The light brightened and then faded with his voice. He dropped his hands and opened his eyes. "'Ow der yer feel now, laddie buck?"
    ***
    Charlemin watched as the Teir'dal's eyes flamed more and her stance changed, now stronger and she began to move with more purpose than before. "She's a Berzerker, Ky! She feeds off of her anger and gets stronger and more dangerous!" He took his sword from its sheath.
    Vani, now in a rage filled trance, wretched the sword out of the wood and swung it down, the power behind the wild swings now precise and controlled.
    K'Niris gasped, looking up at the old Ratonga with wide eyes. He moaned in fear and collapsed into a heap on the floor.
    "We's can'ts leaves thems heres!" Rothgut said, turning to Tetri. "Evens if you's is goings to keeps you's words, this is nots the kinds of city to cares. D'Lere's word is worth mores than your's ands you's family wills be's hunteds."

    Isatis listened to the exchange while Grumblefoot glanced around. "Ay 'ave ter leave yer ladies 'ere now." He bowed. "Ay'll be back wit th' infermation on tha' thing la'er." He waved and began to cast his teleportation spell back to the Guild Hall in Qeynos.
    ((Hope you're feeling better soon, Ssen!))

    Telsi nodded again. She turned to her fiancee. “Where did you get those rapiers?” she asked “Because I know those are not the ones I made you.”
    Calish sighed “Confiscated, these I just found. They work.”
    Telsi grabbed one of the rapiers from Calish's side before he could react. “I'll make you some new ones when I get a chance.”
    Calish smiled “Tell me what you need Enavra.”
    She handed back the sword.
    Ziqua nodded.
    Maheera rolled over onto her back. She sucked in her stomach exposing ribs as though to indicate she had not eaten in days. *
    Ziqua giggled “I know you had a nice dinerrr last night.” she turned to Sylvie “We're ready,”
    Maheera rolled onto her paws and gave an expectant look “Let's go eat then,” she growled.
    Ziqua nodded.
    “I-I'm sorry,” Elena whispered. Tears formed in her yellow eyes.
    Anna hugged the girl “It'll be alright.”
    Vonelix pondered the question “Yes we will laugh about it.” He tossed the dog whistle. “Might be able to act sooner. There's a key component missing.”
    Mordedana sat up and turned. Her scales paled in a blush “I don't seem to have anything to wear.”
    ~~~~
    The Human and the Half-Elf took their seats.
    “They are some of my regular customers.” Senri said “They won't hurt you.”
    “Was that Aly I saw outside?” Tony asked.
    Senri nodded.
    “There's something different about her.” Neil added “But I'm glad she's back. Place wasn't the same.” he smiled at Shiasia “We won't hurt you Lass. Now when the little one is older we could help him with math and such.”
    Tony nodded “Little ones bring luck.”
    “Same rules apply,” Senriala answered. She walked into the kitchen and grabbed two more plates of Kelethin toast. She set them on the counter close to edge so the Ratonga could reach.
    Alyerra smiled “This way,” she said as she turned “Luckily I still remember my way around.” she started walking. She made sure Llew kept up with her.
    ~~~~~
    “Better,” Carl answered “Thanks.” he pulled himself up with his hands and blinked “Sam?”
    Sam nodded.
    “You're really here?” Carl asked. “I'm not losing my mind?”
    Tim spoke “He's really here.”
    “So now what?” Carl asked “I know what's happening... now what do I do?”
    Ethan smiled “Understandable,”
    “We'll help you however we can,” Zach said “Have you filled out your paperwork yet?”

    Kyriu raised her staff in an attempted block. She hissed as she did not block fast enough and received a slice on her arm. She was able to block the next strike.
    Tetriemmy sighed as she realized that Rothgut was right.
    Colby walked into his home “Whats is goings ons heres?” he asked.
    One of the Tier'dal turned “It would seem Desmens that your family is aiding traitors.”
    Colby drew his sword.
    Tetri turned to cast Regrowth on Kyriu. She fell as the broadside of Colby's sword struck her on her blind side.
    The Ratonga Shadowknight's blade glowed “If I helps yous takes thems intos custodys wills my familys be spareds?” he asked.
    ~~~~~
    Brienae nodded “I should be going too.” she sighed.
    Finara nodded “This way, we have plenty of fruit and sweet pastries,” she turned to glide towards the kitchen.
    ~~~~
    The Captain frowned as he sensed a letter had arrived. He glided to the mail box and read. He wrote a response:
    Thank you, Captain Grayhaze, I think the Mystic would be the safest... although what a priest did to land in prison I can not imagine. Our prisoner is a Coercer and has attempted to charm my men a few times already. I will send some of my strongest men to escort him. Or I might come myself. Thank you again for your help.
    Captain Yenter Wispwing
    He sealed it with the the symbol of the Kelethin guard and placed the letter in the mailbox. “If he stays unconscious this will be easy. If he does not... I need people with me who can fight his charm.”
    “He might develop memory loss and forget how to cast at this rate.” the sergeant sighed as he saw the blood.
    ~~~~~~
    Galabrin knelt down “I promise you it is not a dream.” he answered.
    Relane returned with the grilled lion sandwich and gave it to Stimsia “Here you go dear,” she said. “I hope you like it.”
    ((Hope you feel better Ssen,
    *My cat Genie used to do this when she was kitten. As soon as her food bowl was empty she would play this trick. Not sure why she doesn't do this any more. Our other cat Eden tried once and for some reason he just could not make it look convincing.))
    Lamia glanced up at Brienae and nodded in understand8ng, whilst following the other Fae into the kitchen. Her stomach growled in hunger at the mention of pastries and fruit.
    "T-Thanks.. I could use a bit of food.." Lamia said quietly. Her tail twitched and she smiled.
    ===================
    Stinsmia sobbed for a good minute or so, her head buried in Gelabrin's shirt, staining it with tears. She calmed down and rubbed her eyes in a child-like manner. She looked up at Relane and smiled weakly, taking the sandwich slowly. She stared at it for a moment before starting to nibble. The nibbles though eventually became ravenous bites until she finished the food completely. She idly bounced on the balls of her feet.
    "U-Uhm... What now, mama and daddy..?" she asked quietly. She gave a small tug to her collar and frowned..
    ===================
    Zulgah groaned softly, his unconscious form curling together into a lump of scales
    =================
    Shiasia shivered and nodded in response.
    "I-If yous says sos miss Senris..." she sighed weakly. She did her best to put on a smile, in an effort to not seem depressed. Her hand reached over and she began to eat another piece of Kelethin toast. Her other hand ran down her baby's head very slowly, feeling of the small gray hairs that were starting to grow.
    "Easy.. He's not here, alright? You're perfectly safe.." came a quiet male Iksar's voice. Two Iksars, male and female stepped into the tavern slowly. The male gently helped the female to a bar stool and helped her sit down. Tsalvenisss (male Iksar's name) was completely clad in foreign looking armour, whilst his partner was dressed like that of a Mhaj'Dul noblewoman. The female also wore a blindfold.
    Tsalveniss gave a nod of acknowledgement to the people around.
    ====================
    Jhyiskitches yawned softly and glanced at Tim. He nodded.
    "Yis, yis I did. Right heres in fact." he replied, holding up a small stack of papers.
    Ross paused by the postbox to wait for a reply. She felt the pang and opened the box, pulling out and reading the letter. She sent a quick reply.
    'The charges against the priestess have been leveled against her by a citizen and she willingly came here to clear her name. I do no see her as causing you trouble. Considering he is a Coercer I will call the aid of an Illusionist to combat anything your prisoner may do.
    -Captain Ross Grayhaze'
    She folded it and slipped it into the postbox, then turned, writing another and slipping it in too.
    Sylvie laughed. "That's so cute!" She opened the door.
    Herrigan watched the women. "If her condition were under control, would she be able to stay at the temple?"
    Nerry shook his head. "I dunno. Don't really sound like my kind of fun."
    Adeline frowned. "Oh. Maybe Mrs. Cap'ain has something yer kin borrow?"
    ***
    Llew eagerly followed Alyerra. "I should come visit here more often. Perhaps if things go well with Grandfather I will have a reason to."
    ***
    Aleteriq reached up and felt his hair. He did not know why everyone wanted to comb it all the time, but did not object as the woman untied his hair and began to untangle the braid with her fingers.
    "We'll get you presentable and then see about breakfast."
    ***
    Ginnar stepped back to let the brothers talk.
    ***
    Vani swung a few times in quick succession, trying to push the monk against the wall where it would be harder for her to counter.
    "Of course they won't, you fool!" Charlemin yelled at the other knight. "Even if they tell you so they will not!"
    Rothgut dropped to Tetri's side, examining her head in a panic.
    ***
    Grumblefoot found himself in his familiar Guild Hall. He quickly went down to the library and began to pull books from the shelves.
    ((That is so adorable! Our middle cat, Killarney, liked to pick up the metal food bowl and drop it on the floor when it was empty. If we ignored her long enough she'd come over to us and bang it against our shins. Widdershins likes to 'play dead' on the floor. Crawling over to the food bowl on his stomach and whining.     Ziqua stood and followed cautiously to the door.
    Maheera sniffed the air.
    Anna shook her head “Because of the nature... they're afraid she would infect others,”
    Vonelix frowned as he wondered what he had said wrong. He shrugged “Well in the process you'd actually be helping someone.” he smiled. “Other than me I mean
    Mordedana sighed as she looked at her old armor “Maybe but I think my tail would be a problem.” she picked up the dented pieces of Neriak armor “Thisss will have to do for now,” she sighed as she began to put it on “Maybe I can get some new clothesss today,” she turned and smiled at the Dwarven child “Thanksss for the help,” she walked cautiously downstairs.
    ~~~~~~
    Senriala frowned as she had meant for Shiasia to take the plates to the customers.
    She nodded to the Iksar couple while she poured the usual drinks for Tony and Neil. She set the drinks on the table.
    “Thanks Senri,” they said in unison.
    “What would you like?” she asked the Iksar couple.
    ~~~~~~
    “If not then you are always welcome at our place.” Alyerra answered. She shrugged "From what I've gathered... you're relatives are going to love me. Half-Dark-Elf vampire...."
    ~~~~~
    Sam continued to sign.
    Carl leaned back “I don't know how you of all people can still look at me.” he sighed.
    Tim translated the flurry of hand motions for Ginnar and also for himself to make sure he was correct. He was sure Sam would somehow correct him if he was wrong. “Because you're my brother,” Tim blinked as he translated and turned to silent man to confirm.
    Sam nodded to him.
    Carl snorted “Let's review... thirty years ago I sold two of my brothers into slavery....”
    “I saw the contract, you were tricked.” Sam waited for Tim to translate his motions before continuing “That detail was in the fine print which was in a language you could not read.” he paused again while Tim translated “As for my condition, I made a choice. I chose to be caught again so Jake could escape. You saved my life. They told me the penalty for my actions was death.” he smiled as Tim hesitated in his translation.
    “You were eighteen years old...” Carl answered.
    “Who treated me afterward?” Sam asked with his hands. When Carl didn't respond he answered his own question “You did. You stopped the bleeding and found the book with sign language. Before they gave you those claws, things were not so bad. It was those claws that corrupted you.”
    Tim blinked again as he translated.
    Zach nodded “Alright well we need to head to the guardhouse anyway to ask them about something. You can come with us and turn in your paperwork if you would like."
    ~~~~~
    Kyriu cast a quick glance behind her and cursed her own stupidity. She braced herself refusing to be pushed back any further. She prayed to the Tribunal to guide her swings as she switched stances to be more offensive. She attempted to jab and swing at her opponent hoping to turn the tables.
    Tetri remained motionless on the floor. There was no blood but she was not conscious.
    “What's do yous expects mes to dos? Turns intos a softies Paladin likes yous?” Colby growled. He raised his glowing sword “My minds was stills muddleds from my Grandpa's spells. But it's clears nows. You ares rights if I kills yous thens my familys wills be frees.” as he spoke he charged towards the Paladin.
    ~~~~~
    Brienae curtsied to Isatis and Finara and glided back towards her parents' home.
    Finra glided into the kitchen and returned with a plate of various fruits and pastries. “We have strawberry, Fayberry, Jum Jum, and we also have Brellberry pastries.” she told Lamia as she held out the platter to her.
    ~~~~~
    Captain Yenter read the response and sighed with relief. “Alright, now to arrange for the transfer. Sergeant can you carry him to Antonica?”
    “I suppose sir if I take the Druid ring.”
    Yenter nodded “I'll send someone with you. Someone who can help keep him in check.”
    “Lady De'Esalcoda was the one who told us about him and I think she has limited abilities in that department.” The clerk answered.
    “Mianette?” Yenter asked.
    “No sir Lady Brienae.”
    Yenter nodded “Yes I have heard my niece is gifted in her music. An Illusionist would be preferred but at the moment the only one I know is insane.” he took out another paper and wrote:
    “Thank you for your help Captain Ross. Does Antonica work for the exchange? I am sending a Troubador with the prisoner. She is very gifted and has limited ability in matters of the mind. Thanks again
    Captain Yenter Wispwing.
    He placed the letter in the mailbox and wrote a second one.
    “Shall I hit him again sir?” The sergeant asked upon seeing the Iksar move.
    “Er I think he's alright for now.”
    ~~~~~
    Galabrin sighed “I really need to be getting back to work.”
    Relane nodded “But you and I can have fun together. She motioned to some shelves “Do you know how to read? I can teach you.”

    Sylvie smiled at the two. "It's alright." She stepped out into the hall. "What do you two want for breakfast? I can make...um...c-coffee and sunfish rolls. Hrm..."
    Herrigan winced, unsure of what to say.
    Ross felt the feeling again and took the new letter out, sending a quick reply.
    'Antonica is fine. Do you plan on transporting the prisoner by ship or by Druid Ring or Spire?
    -Capt. Ross Grayhaze'
    She slid it into the box again as the door opened. A brown-haired woman walked into the Guardhouse.
    "Hello, Rossy!" Her sister said cheerfully.
    "Good morning, Norna."
    Nerry tapped his bare toes on the floor. "Help how?"
    Adeline sat back on the bed as her mother stirred.
    "'Mornin' Mum."
    ***
    Llew smiled at her. "And you are welcome in my home." She sighed. "I had not thought of that. But you saved Aleteriq's life and even if it counts for nothing to them it is everything to me. I cannot thank you enough."
    ***
    Aleteriq sat still while his hair was combed and plaited again. "There. That is better. Now. Let us see about some breakfast. What do you like?"
    He glanced at Toska, who nodded to him. "I-I like...Jumjums." He whispered as Gleipnir sniffed Pepin's boots.

    The fire in Vani's eyes flickered as both the jab and swing hit her. She stumbled back, tripping over the prone body of a passed-out Teir'dal.
    Rothgut bit his lip, unsure of what to do, other than stay by her side and make sure that she was not caught in the fight while she could not defend herself.
    Charlemin brought his own sword up, a white glow gathering along the blade's length. "Yes! They wills be frees! They's wills be frees in deaths if the Militia does nots sends they's broken bodies to the Academy for the Necromancers! That's is hows things is dones here in Freeports!"

    Ziqua frowned “Do you have any milk?” she asked “The sunfish rolls sound fine... but I don't like coffee.” she swallowed “I d-don't w-want to be a p-prrroblem,”
    Anna hugged the girl. “She'll be fine,” she answered almost as though reassuring herself.
    Calish and Telsi stepped out of the office.
    Telsi frowned at the Tier-dal “Have you eaten anything recently?”
    Calish grinned “No, but I'm not hungry,” he insisted as his stomach growled.
    Telsi quirked an eyebrow “Really?”
    “Maybe a little hungry,” he sighed.
    Vonelix smiled “My primary patient is a werewolf. I've been trying to find a cure for her. Unfortunately progress is slow and well as usual things must get worse before they can get better. If we escape then you could help me finish the cure,” he hoped the Halfling would believe him as what he said was partially true. He really had no intention of curing his favorite experiment.
    ~~~~
    Alyerra nodded “Don't worry about it. If they don't like me then that's fine. Growing up I can't say I was very well liked.” she sighed “As for what I did. I'm just glad he's alright.” she jumped up a platform “I believe this is it,” she said indicating the house on the platform. “This is the highest platform.”
    ~~~~~
    Kyriu twirled her staff as her opponent stumbled. She remained poised ready to attack again if she needed to.
    Canty peered around the doorway listening.
    Colby growled “Onlys those thats deserves its” he brought his sword down.
    Canty dashed between the two knights.
    Colby was unable to stop his swing. “Canty, yous foolish girls.” he dropped his sword as the teen Ratonga fell holding a paw on the gash made in her arm.
    “Y-you'res wrongs Uncles Colby. Theys use a-anyones theys cans gets theirs paws ons.” Canty whimpered “D-dos yous knows hows yours brothers, my daddys dieds?”
    Colby knelt down “Of course theys dieds defending Uncles Crumpet's labs froms an invasions.”
    Canty shook her head “He killeds thems... theys dieds ins ones of his experiments.” she handed her uncle the note.
    Colby read the letter. He picked up his sword.
    One of the Tier'dal sneered “Desmens what are you playing at?”
    He whispered to Charlemin in Ratongan “Helps her please... she's my brother's onlys pinky.” he turned his back to the Paladin “Tells the Overlords I resigns!”

    Sylvie shook her head. "Really now, you are no trouble. And I am sure that we have milk." She lead the way down the stairs. "Morning!" She said cheerfully to the Iskar she saw at the bottom.
    "Do you ladies need anything?" Herrigan asked. "Breakfast maybe? Tea?"
    "You needed me, Rossy?" Norna hugged her sister.
    "Yes. We are trading two prisoners with the Protectors of Faydark and have the need of an Illusionist's skills to keep him in check."
    Norna tilted her head to one side. "Oh? Another Illusionist?"
    Ross shook her head. "No, a Coercer."
    Norna shivered. "Ew."
    Nerry grinned. "Well, do you think if I helped you with that the Cap might see it as community service and reconsider the jail time for my little joke? I mean, that would be helping the community, right?"

    Llew glanced at the houses on the plateform, spotting one with morning glories in the windows. She went to the door and knocked. The door swung open and Alaric slid a judgmental look over the two women, then stepped back, holding the door open.
    "I do not think he is awake yet." He said.
    Llew walked in, trying her best to not show her nerves. "Thank you for watching over him while I was away."
    Pepin stirred in the chair and yawned.
    "Good mornings, sleepy-head." Toska teased.
    ***
    Vani sat, dazed on the floor as her rage-filled trance left her. She felt drained and weak but still angry. "You little mutt." She hissed at Kyriu, clutching the sword hilt where it lay on the ground.
    Charlemin lowered his sword and grabbed the girl's arm, praying to heal the wound.

    Ziqua nodded and followed.
    “Good Morning,” Mordedana answered.
    Anna stood “Yes I think breakfast would be good.”
    Elena reluctantly stood and said nothing.
    Vonelix stroked his goatee “Maybe... she may not see it at first.”
    ~~~~~
    Alyerra followed Llew in. She ignored the judgmental look. She decided the least she could do was introduce herself. “I'm Alyerra,” she said with a curtsey. She didn't smile as she had decided it might be better to not reveal her fangs. Also she had the feeling that nothing she did would improve her standing in his eyes.
    ~~~~
    “I've been called worse,” Kyriu muttered as she re-sheathed her staff on her back. “I am the balance of two worlds Elf and Human, Staff and Fist.” she whispered more to calm her own nerves as she walked over to Tetri and knelt down. She used Mend.
    Tetri opened her eye and sat up “Thanks Cub,” she whispered. She rubbed her head where it still throbbed.
    Kyriu helped the old Ratonga to her feet. “I'll cover you, so we can get out of here.”
    Colby nodded “I'll helps,”
    Calarys walked into the room with her pinkies still clinging to her. “What's goings ons?” she asked.
    “We'res goings ons a trips,” Colby answered.
    “Th-thanks yous,” Canty whispered in Ratongan to the Paladin as the gash in her arm mended.

    Sylvie paused, holding her hand out to stop Ziqua as she noticed the Neriak markings on the Iskar's armor. "Are...uh...are you new to town?"
    Herrigan smiled and held his hand out to indicate the hallway leading to the kitchen. "If you don't mind a bit of noise. The place is noisy what with the morning shift and all, but the vittles are good."
    "I know you do not like Coercers, but were the first person I thought of with the skills."
    Norna sighed. "I know. But I do so wish the Council had not allowed them into the city. I mean, really? And do they just have to practive right in front of the tower? I can't enter for work without passing right by them practicing on that ogre and making him dance, really its-"
    "Norna."
    The younger sister bit her lip. "I know. I know."
    Nerry tapped his feet on the floor. "Well...The Cap has more of a humor than people think and if it'll help someone too...What do you need me to do?"

    Alaric gave a shallow bow. "I am Alaric Bindweed. Welcome to my home." He glanced at Llew. "You have finished with your task?"
    She returned his steady gaze. "For now."
